At the end of DDD it is said Sora is still in the Dream Realm and is taking longer than expected to return. Do you think that Sora is taking training more seriously after everything that happened during the Mark of Mastery exam and his new attraction abilities and keyblade transformations could be a result of him training more inside the dream realm?

And if so, do you think riku and other potential playable characters will be excluded from these new powers?

part.

Keyblade tranformation has been shown as common between Keyblade Wielders, especially Keyblade Masters.

You could say extra training could unlock that power for Sora but gaining the knowledge from Yen Sid is more likely, since Sora himself doesn't know how he could tranform his Keyblade.

And if Yen Sid gives that knowledge to Sora then I expect Riku will gain that information as well, unless he is not present at that moment.

Then again, Riku could already posses that power at the beggining of KH3 and we get a tutorial with Riku teaching the new ability to Sora.

OR

We get can get back to your own theory and we get a tutorial in which Sora shows off his newfound power to Riku/Kairi/Lea.

BUT WHO KNOWS?

Anything could happen.

Maybe they dont return at full strength from extended trips to the dream realm .. or perhaps we start off as lea or kairi, which i think would be awesome.

This. This is gonna be the logic for why sora's back at level 1. But I don't see how... Wait, Donald and Goofy went into the Datascape in Re:coded, so maybe that's gonna be their reason for being at level 1.

I don't see why Sora being fine with how the MoM test turned out would result in his drive to train hard and take things seriously...

He's probably just taking a nap on the beach. Old habits die hard.

Now I really want KH3 to end with everyone taking a nap on Destiny Islands.

I meant how he was was tricked into going to TWTNW and how he wasn't emotionally ready or nearly powerful enough to do anything once he started to go deeper into the dream world. It probably got him in gear to catch back up with Riku, especially since he's now a keyblade master.

What would be nice if Sora and Kairi take the MoM together. But Donald and Goofy won't leave him alone this time.
