So, I keep trying to beat Mysterious Figure, and about halfway through the battle, he just disappears! It happens with every character. It must be a glitch or something, but every time I try and redo the battle, it just doesn't work.

Disappears as in... Turn invisible? Because that's what's meant to happen...

 

But if what you're saying is that he just disappears for good and never comes back then that's quite odd. O.o

I believe that's one of Mysterious Figure's moves where he became invisible when his HP were less than a half during the battle,which results about a halfway of battle that you mentioned. But you can still find him in the area where his blue ethereal blades (his blue Light Saber) doesn't disappear along with his body and his invisibility effect were only temporarily but he can do this many times and assault you really hard so prepare yourself for the outcome...

Guess not.

 

Have you at least once survived through his Invisible phase to see if he reappears? That's how his move should work. Goes invisible for a bit and then turns visible again.

That's one of Mysterious Figure's moves. After a certain amount of his health is depleted, he uses this technique. During his invisibility phase, you are unable to lock on to him, however, you can still land attacks on him and deal some damage. But it's best if you keep dodging until he's visible again. Yet, you can try, if you want, attacking him when he's open for an attack (for that one second) like after he uses Raging Storm (the fire tornadoes) while he's invisible.

Sorry I didn't clarify, yes he just disappears out of the entire battle arena. He's not even attacking me.

Um, that's not a glitch, it's the Disappear/Vanish ability. He can basically turn invisible at will and you can't lock onto him until his spell runs out. It's not exclusive to him either, you can get it as an ability by either clearing one of the Unversed missions or by purchasing it at the Mirage Arena shop.

How long do you wait after he disappears? Have you tried locking on to see if it reacts? Using a ranged attack (like magic) to see where it goes besides in front of you, etc.

You can't lock onto him when he's invisible, that's the point of the technique.

I was going to comment pretty much what everyone else here was commenting, but when I saw this, I had to stop.  If he doesn't even attack you or anything, then that probably is a glitch!  That is a very strange occurrence indeed!

That's why I said to try locking on and whatnot. I know how the fight works.

I haven't defeated the Mysterious figure either in the PSP.. The only thing is he turns invisible. You have to keep watch at his HP bar. Once it has reappeared then it means he's not invisible anymore. The only thing is he has unpredictable attacks. We don't know of what move is he gonna make next. Duplicate him self and summoning a giant meteor that takes so heavy damage.
