Also, the game might finally get a Wind Waker story arc it deserves (I'm also hoping there's more better methods for leveling up too, because currently it's tedious and takes forever)

You know, in a way I wanted this game to be portable, but yet now that it is getting on the 3DS and it will have new features, I am kind of iffy on it. If they would update the Wii U version with the additions made on the 3DS, then I would be fine with this game being ported and I would probably buy the 3DS version as well! But at least for now we know that Wind Waker is finally getting reps in this game, and that they can be brought over to the Wii U version!

It could end up being separate DLC, too. We don't know for sure. You're literally the only person who I've seen that's complaining about the connectivity between the two versions.

And no one believed me when I said Toon characters fit the art style. I knew HW had the right art style to combine the two. Tetra is my sale point. I will get HW3D just for that alone. I'm sure there will be more than those two though (hopefully Vaati and please give me a Toon Link clone).

Well the alt costumes started out as (Gamestop?) pre-order exclusives and now you can buy them no questions asked, so it would be kinda foolish to neglect the fans who bought past DLC and put in the effort to get everything in Hyrule Warriors, ESPECIALLY considering how huge of a game it is. Being able to transfer save datas would definitely benefit everyone, though I'm 90% sure they'll release the new characters as purchasable DLC.

I know right!? I'm so glad this game is getting characters from Wind Waker. I really thought that they wouldn't do this since they seemed to have stopped giving Hyrule Warriors new DLC. But man am I glad to see that it's really happening. Tetra along is going to be the only reason why I'll buy a New Nintendo 3DS and this game. Now if this can just give us Toon Link I would be all set with my Wind Waker characters.

Um...you do realize that they could easily put the Wind Waker charcters as seperate DLC for the Wii U version, right? There's no need to get butthurt about this.

I guess I'm going to get the game. Seems interesting with the two extra wind waker characters anyways.

But man am I glad to see that it's really happening. Tetra along is going to be the only reason why I'll buy a New Nintendo 3DS and this game. Ah OK. I kinda assumed that it would be New 3DS exclusive given how big the game is lol. But if it's for the regular 3DS too than that would be great as well. It would save me money on buying the New 3DS since Nintendo hasn't given me a true reason to own one yet aside from upgrading from my launch day ambassador 3DS. Also I hope they put WW Ganon, and Medli in this 3DS port as well.

I just hope that Tetra and the King of red lions and any other new content this 3DS version might add will be added to the Wii U version as DLC,I don't want to spend 60$ for 2 extra characters on a game I already own.

 

I wonder if the 3DS version will have less content then the Wii U version,Hyrule Warriors was a pretty big game especially if they include all the DLC packs. I guess it would have been redundant to have 3 Link,but it would have been nice to have Toon Link in there as well and a Wind Waker level would be even better,but I don't think they'll add a new stage.

Oh, wow, very cool!  I wonder whether I should get the 3DS version of the game or the Wii U one.  I actually don't have either so far, but it seems like it might be a game more interesting on a portable system rather than the Wii U.

So for anyone that may still care or keep up: Toon Link is confirmed and we have 3 confirmed WW stages (Windfall, Dragon Roost, and Forsaken Fortress). Toon Link appears to be a Link clone, which is exactly what I wanted out of it. So I'm extremely happy. New item confirmed: Hammer New Boss: Helmaroc King New Mobs: Miniblins (All Toon titles) and Bigblins (only appeared in ST). All I need is Vaati and I'll be complete!

I figured they were 3 separate stages, but TGS is next week and Hyrule Warriors Legends will be playable there so i guess we'll find out then. I'm betting separate character trailers for TLink, Tetra, and King will be revealed and then maybe a fourth new character.

So for anyone keeping up, the character trailers have been going live over these past couple weeks, which I had anticipated on my own. 

Toon Link's gives us a better look at him and even gives us a new stage plus soundtrack.

I was happy to see them put that to use actually. That's pretty neat that they would pay attention to a smaller detail like that. Also, Molgera Remix is epic. I'm expecting a two way split between Wind and Earth, but I'm really hoping it's just the Wind Temple.

I wonder what his level 2 weapon will be. I'm almost positive Level 3 will be Master Sword and Mirror Shield.

I don't even remember what the Earth Temple boss theme sound like,but I wouldn't mind if they were to remix it as well for this stage,it'd make sense.His level 2 weapon could be the incomplete Master Sword with the blue hero shield from Spirit Tracks.
