I am 17, born in October 17, 1997, so lets give myself a little bit of a break in this case and say that Ive been on this Earth for about 18 years. In my years of life, Ive watched a lot of films, A LOT of them. Some I liked, some I hated, and some I just ADORED! However, throughout my 18 years of being on this Earth and watching films along the way, I noticed something today. Ive never bothered to watch the credits of a film.
Not once.
Every movie I could remember, it always ended the same whether I hated it or just fell in love with it, I just got out of my seat and moved on with my day right when it ended. I either rushed out the theater or changed the channel, hell, even despite the fact that Marvel Studios puts little teasers for their next big film at the end of the credits I cant really care enough. So yeah, almost an 18 year streak of me not watching credits, not for any movie........and than these little things popped into my life.
"Inside Out", from our favorite little studio called Pixar, tells the story of(from left to right) Anger, Fear, Joy, Disgust, and Sadness, as they go through the mind of an 11 year old girl named Riley. As the trailers have shown, something goes amiss when Riley's core memories are "lost" for lack of a better term, and the movie is focused on the journey of these emotions as they try to help Riley get through all of this.
By the time the first minute of this film ended, I was in love. Its hard to go into why this movie came out beautiful without spoiling anything, I dont even want to spoil the first minute of this cause I truly believe that would ruin the experience that is this film. So how can I convince you to go and take a look at this film? Well, let me tell you at least the first line in this film, it asks something that may help me in this regard.
"Do you ever look at someone and wonder,"What is going on inside their head?"
If you answer yes, than buy a ticket right now.
Dont ask your friends who watched this movie for opinions, dont look at any trailers, you already have enough reason to go out with some friends and watch this film.
Emotions are amazing, the way they act, react, and all these other little things they do, seeing this film explore that is the most beautiful thing Ive ever seen.
I dont want anyone to take this review as me just "hyping" this movie up. This isnt some big action blockbuster film, this isnt some Dreamworks rip-off comedy that is titled "THE HOTTEST COMEDY OF THE YEAR", no, its more than that. This is truly something amazing, the only true way to get what Im saying is to go out and see it. Dont come to watch expecting anything though, that ruins the fun. I just had to write this down though, I couldnt just let my thoughts sit on it, the little guys inside my head wouldnt let me I guess.
Ive watched Up, Toy Story 3, Frozen, all of which I loved, but Ive never bothered watching the credits. But this film just did something for me that I still cant fully describe.I sat there with tears in my eyes just recollecting what I watched.
I have one request for all of you, please, go watch it.
Let me say a couple of things before anything.
