Have you ever pondered about society and humanity in general? Or your place in this world? Have you ever took the time to look deep inside yourself and truly understand who you are? Have you ever thought about why we are here besides just going through life's daily motions dictated by society? Do you think humanity is generally good despite the evils that corrupt our world? Are you a shrinking violet or a fierce tiger? Are you a quitter or a coaster in life? Are you merely existing or do you want to make a difference in this world? Do you have fight?
I have seen the best in humanity in many of my life experiences- enough to give me hope and strength to carry on during the worst of times. I have also seen the scum and filth of humanity which in itself is disappointing and sad. The atrocities committed, the cruelty, the empty soulless eyes of the lost. I have seen pure evil. It just made me fight harder since my very nature is to roar like a lion. The abundance of pain and suffering in my life has not discouraged me but uplifted me. Because of my pain I can understand others pain. Even for those who have wronged me terribly - people who swore to love and protect me always but instead violated that very trust. I realize these people are fighting their own demons and I pity them. Pity for them not acknowledging how lost they truly are. It's very sad.
You can't fix these people. They need to want to be better first. What I can do is fight to become the best person I can be and try to make any difference I can in the world. I won't be a victim but instead a warrior. A leader. I can't always control others actions but I can my own and it all starts there. I want to look back on my life one day and feel like I made a difference in the world. We need kindness. Compassion. Complacency leads you nowhere but to the bowels of society.
Where do you stand? That's all up to you. I can tell you one thing though- this world has too many assholes already. We need to strive for better. Who are you?
Never underestimate me. You won't be the first, or even the last. But you will be wrong.
