So in the KH3 trailer, we see Xehanort's keyblade hung up on the wall, with Xehanort looking towards it. Probably with a face that says,"I'm gonna take it."

It could be possible that this was his Master's keyblade, and he stole it before heading off on his quest for knowledge in the many worlds.

But HOW exactly would he steal it? I believe he would kill his own Master, take the keyblade, then run off with it like it was a rare bacon egg cheese syrup pancake waffle soda ice cream coffee cookie cake apple pie sandwich combo with fries and a medium drink.

OR he would just take it while his master's asleep.

How do you think this keyblade got into his possession? Theft? Inheritance?

I bet it's just stolen or just became his. Maybe his desire for the keyblade eventually created a copy of it for his to own.

It really seems like it's being set up like his keyblade is possessing him. Like when young xehanort told braig that his keyblade was the most ancient of all keyblades (not counting the x blade of course). Maybe his keyblade belonged the the person who started the war

I'm pretty certain that you can't steal a Keyblade that doesn't belong to you. The Keyblade would return to its rightful owner. Xehanort eventually became a Master as we know from Birth By Sleep. From this we can assume he earned the Keyblade from his Master, just like Mickey had done from Yen Sid.

I doubt his master had true ownership of that keyblade so stealing it shouldn't have been too hard. He most likely took it when Eraqus was put in charge of the land of departure right before he left to explore the worlds.

That keyblade is very mysterious. Could even be from the times when the world was devoured by darkness. Maybe that could explain why the keyblade has an eye on it.

Maybe it went all Zanza on Xehanort and possessed him to gain the Keyblade.

It was passed down from old times. He did not steal it. It came from the sixth apprentice and was passed down to him.

I wonder why this keyblade isn't dissapearing. Only the owner can materialize his keyblade and when the owner dies, the keyblade should dissapear too. Or am I wrong? But this keyblade hangs out in this room and thinks "No, I'm not going anywhere."

I think YX earned it or Eraqus wouldn't be friends with him when he announced him.

So I bet he earned it when he became a Keyblade master.

Exactly. However, what about Young Xehanort, brought to the present by Master Xehanort?"Every Keyblade Master is bequeathed a keyblade of his very own. With the passing of time, as you can imagine, more and more Keyblade were forged to be handed down. But of all the keyblades in existence, Master Xehanort's is the most ancient. That is my destiny. But it has yet...to become a reality". Master Xehanort owns a Keyblade, the most ancient. Unfortunately for Young Xehanort, the Keyblade he so desires belongs to his future self, Master Xehanort.

Then the millions of keys that lie in the ground in the Keyblade Graveyard should have disappeared too. The keyblade becomes a gravestone acting as a reminder that this person once lived. Their power wanes as time goes on unless someone else comes by soon after the original master passes on. Remember Master Eraqus and how Aqua obtained Master Keeper?

He did not obtain it yet. Remember the KH3 E3 2015 trailer? He looks up to it and it hangs on a wall. "It has yet to become a reality". He has not been given that power just yet.

Isn't that in the past though? Before Xehanort had obtained the Keyblade himself, I mean. If Master Xehanort possesses the Keyblade that Young Xehanort desires, what then? The trailer is set in the past since there is Young Eraqus too. Unless I am missing something or genuinely confused? :S

Yes. It is the past. Xehanort from the most distant past that we saw in the HD 2.5 Remix secret episode and in KH3D was that version of him before he obtained the keyblade. He had yet to obtain the keyblade from the sixth apprentice in that version of himself. That's why he says "...it has yet to become a reality" in the HD 2.5 Remix secret episode. To simplify all I am saying, Young Xehanort did not obtain the sixth apprentice's keyblade yet. He did when he got older.

It was passed down from old times. He did not steal it. It came from the sixth apprentice and was passed down to him.

Or, it could have been passed down by the Master Foreteller too.

Alternatively, Xehanort could have gained himself a Book Of Prophecies version of that Keyblade and manifested it to become his down. It just so happens that Young Master Xehanort is unaware about that Keyblade at the time of rendezvousing with Braig.
