Radiant Garden- Keyblade Academy

Ordinarily, the Radiant Garden Keyblade Academy was rather quiet, at least by the standards of a school. Not much happened, and it was rare for any sort of exciting events to happen in the years of peace that the world had experienced. However, on this particular day, that was about to change. The Masters of the Keyblade Academy were about to send a group of students off on what would be the most important journey since the one taken by Master Sora and his friends in the past. The previous day, almost 20 students had received letters from Master Sora. Each letter shared the same message, though with slight alterations to include the name of its recipient:

Dear (Student),

Hello, this is Master Sora. I would like to let you know that you have been selected to participate in a very important mission. This journey could take a short time, or many months. I apologize if this interferes with your busy schedule, but you will be excused from all missed lessons during this time period. I would like you to convene just outside the Academy tomorrow at noon, by the fountain. You will receive further instructions at that time. I wish you and your fellow companions the best of luck on this journey!

Sincerely, Master Sora

This particular letter and mission were unknown to those who were not participating, unless a participant had informed them ahead of time. It was just the small group leaving on this quest who had any sort of knowledge as to what they were about to face...

Indy arrived at the fountain early. He hated arriving late, and as such, arriving at a meeting very early tended to become something he'd been known for. Noticing that no one else had arrived, he decided to sit down on a nearby bench, waiting for his fellow students to file in. He knew that his best friend, Raidyn, would be going along with him. Aside from that, he had no clue who all would be joining. He just hoped that they would all be ready for whatever they'd need to face. As he sat, he became lost in his thoughts. This mission could potentially mark his first time ever leaving his home world of Radiant Garden. He could finally go out and see more worlds. He could meet new people. Most importantly, he might finally have a chance to track down the person he'd been trying to find for years... He managed to look calm for the most part, though he could feel his hands shaking with excitement. This could very well be the moment he'd waited years for.

"You are not going in alone, that is a death wish... I'm coming with, no exceptions." Zar said grabbing Joel by the shirt and pulling him. "EVERYBODY STAY HERE AND WATCH EACH OTHER'S BACKS!!!"

Maximilian frowned and closed his eyes as the team got teleported into the forest area, problem was, Maximilian wasn't among those who got teleported, well, not precisely.

"Grrrr..." he said as he hanged from a tree, falling on his back nearby the group, close enough they could see him, he got up with some effort and walked towards them, "So." he said rubbing his hands on his head, and noticing some blood which had already stopped coming out, "Oh great, must have hit my head on something..." he said with a nonchalant tone as he looked at Saki, excited as always, Joel and Zar speaking something Joel said reminded him about the comm devices, which he checked if he still had one on his ear, and thankfully, he had.

"So...what now?" he asked the others.

Saki frowned at this statement. "Oh come on! That's no fair!" He hopped towards Zar and Joel. "Can I come too? I think I can be a great help! I know Areo spells, use my Three Wishes, and I just really want to explore all around!" He got down to his knees in a begging matter, with the hands and the eyes fitting the pleading act perfectly. "Can I please come too? Pretty please?" Saki then used the old fashioned, over used puppy eyes trick. Who could resist the Puppy Eyes trick? No one so far!

"But of course. I had no intention of going alone. I was just waiting for someone to volunteer," Joel said to Zar with a smile. "Now, if you could please let go..." Joel said as he removed Zar's hand from his shirt.

He then turned to Maximilian and noticed the blood. "We're just gonna do a bit of recon. But you should probably tend to your wounds before doing anything," he said, pointing to his own head at the spot where Max was bleeding. "I'll let you know if we find ourselves dying or something."

Joel looked to Saki as the boy started pleading. "Alright, alright. You know what they say: Three is a magic number," Joel said with a laugh. "But stay close to us, okay? If you get too far, I might have to put you down with a Gravity," he added in a more serious tone.

Joel gave a quick bow to the rest of the group. "We'll only be gone for a moment," he assured them. He then turned and led the little scouting party onto the path and into the jungle.

Joel looked to Saki as the boy started pleading. "Alright, alright. You know what they say: Three is a magic number," Joel said with a laugh. "But stay close to us, okay? If you get too far, I might have to put you down with a Gravity," he added in a more serious tone.

"Alright, come on then Saki." Zar said, he then spoke to Max. "Make sure not to injure yourself to much, we may need you." He said jokingly. "Now then if you don't mind... Are you ready Raz, same rules apply from last time... But stick with the group alright." Zar said to Raz about to summon his keyblades, "Alright, alright fine." Raz said. "Let's do this." Zar and Raz said together, Zar summoned his keyblades giving Raz control which also meant that the blood-thirsty aura came to surface. "Now then hurry up and let's go." Raz said while grinning.

Once the group had teleported to the clearing, Joel yawned and began stretching. He had been taking a nap while the ship was cruising over to their destination. He then took a moment took take in their surroundings -- the crystal-clear pond, the lush vegetation, the cacophony of animal cries. He initially thought that they were closed in by trees on all sides, but then his gaze quickly locked on to an opening in the foliage in front of them, along with a glimpse of what could be a dirt path leading deeper into the jungle.

Joel pointed out said opening to the rest of the group. "I suppose we should see where that path will take us," he said as he made his way into the jungle.

Lucas, although he wanted to go with them really badly, knew they probably had enough people already, so he decided to protect the people remaining at the starting point instead, and stepped up to Joel. "Ok then, we'll be here waiting in case something goes on so we can get in on the action. No need to worry!" He said as Joel began leaving into the jungle. He turned over to Maximillain as the others left.

"We just wait i guess. Nothing else to do." Lucas said with his hands behind his back. "So, since we're waiting here, mind me asking how long have you been in the Keyblade Academy? I've only been in here for a couple years."

"YeeeeYAHOOO!" Saki jumped up in the air, expressing his excitement. "Hai! Iku Ze!" He said, running after Joel and summoning his Keyblade. He was back to smiling once again. He took a glimpse at Zar/Raz and then faced Joel. "What's the deal with that red stuff coming out of him? Does he have a temper or something?" Saki asked.

-Meanwhile, onboard the Dawn-

Zion rubbed her head. This was deeply routed corruption, deeply routed hatred, this was going to take far more than usualy to cleanse, and even then...even then, it was going to be extremely difficult. Rubbing her forehead, the Keyblade Master closed the door behind her, and opened a Dawngate. Stepping inside, she teleported down, and ended up sitting on one of the spires of Kuczo's palace.

"Dammit, why did they have to send me off all people...he's gonna ask me to dinner I swear." She muttered. "Rather take sleepy head on the ship or Luna...or both." She chuckled to herself.

"But of course. I had no intention of going alone. I was just waiting for someone to volunteer," Joel said to Zar with a smile. "Now, if you could please let go..." He then turned and led the little scouting party onto the path and into the jungle.

"Before you go," Aello handed Joel a package wrapped in a napkin. "This is a secret weapon! Only give it to Saki if you run into a bad guy who truly deserves to be annoyed to death." She then returned to bouncing around admiring the strange looking awesome trees. She gave Joel both the cookies, just in case.

Joel gave Lucas a thumbs-up. "I'm counting on you."

Saki then pointed out Zar's strange aura.

"Does he have a temper or something?" Saki asked.

Joel thought about it for a moment. "... Beats me." I guess I should watch both of these guys then, he added in his own mind.

Then Aello handed Joel... something. She called it a secret weapon for Saki. Joel wasn't entirely sure if wanted to know what exactly it was.

"O... kay. Thanks," he said as he put the package in his pocket.

Once all of that stuff was done, Joel, Saki, and RaZar headed down the little path leading into the jungle.

They walked down the path for several meters without anything jumping out at them. The density of trees around them stayed relatively constant as well. Although it was good that nothing had come to kill them just yet, there weren't any immediate signs of other sentient beings.

After walking for another uneventful minute, Joel turned to his comrades. "It looks like this path is alright so far. Shall we go back and get the others?"

(Cue the snakes. Or something. Idk what you're thinking, Axel xD)

"Been in it...for a few years, ever since I got...my keyblade..." Maximilian said with some pauses in between his sentence as he rubbed his head, he felt a headache, and some dizzyness, understandable, he had hit his head when teleported, but it would pass, at least he hoped.

"So...any hopes for this mission?" he asked the team, as he started to feel a bit better, the bleeding stopped, thankfully.

Lucas nodded as he heard Max's explanation. "I'm just hoping I get to bash in some nobodies or heartless with my keyblade to be honest. It's fun to see some action I think. It'd be pretty boring otherwise." He said as he summoned his keyblade and twirled it around a bit as he waited for something to happen.

Joel gave Lucas a thumbs-up. "I'm counting on you."

Saki then pointed out Zar's strange aura.

Raz noticed that nothing was happening, he was gripping his keyblades tight hoping to get to maybe kill someone. Joel soon after stopped and asked if they should head back to the others. "No,keep going... If you don't want to though and I go alone." He said walking past Joel looking ahead with the look of revenge and thirst for blood.

-Rei-

She hopped onto Indy's back.

"So, where to now?"

Mt. Olympus

Indy quietly listened to what everyone had to say. He tried not to groan as Raidyn ran around the courtyard, but let him continue until they were ready to head off. He had also prepared for Rei to jump on his back this time around. After listening to everyone else, he answered Somerene's suggestion. "Yeah, we probably should ask them. Whatever it is that's going on might relate to our targets, anyway." He agreed, then approached one of the people walking around. "Hey, is something going on here? Everyone seems... nervous."

"Strange monsters, everywhere!" The person suddenly began shouting. "They're attacking Thebes, and soon they'll come here, too!"

"Whoa, calm down!" Indy tried to say, but it was no use. The person they were talking to ran out of the courtyard and back towards Thebes. "Well... I guess we've got a bit of a hint now." He sighed. "Maybe we should-"

As he spoke, an odd noise signified some of these strange monsters' appearance in the courtyard. A group of around fifteen Soldier Heartless appeared, and instantly began attacking the Keyblade wielders.

"Uh, Rei, I don't think now's the best time to get a ride." Indy said as he summoned his Keyblade, barely managing to dodge a few quick kicks from some of the Heartless.

Andes Mountains

When the group that had decided to venture outside of the clearing had begun talking about turning back, an odd noise could suddenly be heard. A pair of glowing eyes peered at the group from the trees, and more pairs appeared over time. Eventually, these creatures jumped out, revealing themselves to be a few Powerwild Heartless, with a few Bouncywilds mixed in as well. There were six Powerwilds in total, with three more Bouncywilds. They immediately attacked the Keyblade wielders, using the trees for both cover, and for additional methods of attack.

Around the same time, a similarly sized group of the monkey Heartless attacked the group that was still in the clearing. Despite having less cover, they climbed in the trees and jumped down at each of the wielders in this group, hoping to take them by surprise.

Raidyn / Toshi

"Uh oh. Trouble!" Raidyn said upon seeing the Heartless surround his classmates. He quickly summoned his Keyblade and ran towards the group.

"Everybody stay back! We'll handle this!" He said to the remaining citizens in the courtyard that could be hurt by the black monsters. He slashed through a few of them as he got close to the others.

"Heartless, huh? Maybe this has somethin' to do with the Seekers of Light!" He said aloud.

"They might, but we need to focus on fighting them first-ah!" Toshi said then yelled as she was once again having difficulty fighting on her own.

"Wait....What's that sound?" Saki said. This sounded was heard to be quite strange to Saki....He looked around to see where the noise was coming from, left to right. He finally looked up in the trees and saw the 2 yellow eyes. Saki went wide open and rubbed his own eyes to prove that his mind was playing tricks on him. Once he opened his eyes once again....There were more. "Guys....I starting to feel like...Something's watching us." He said, taking a few steps back. And not a moment later did the monkey heartless jump out and attack the group of 3! "Woah! Aero Blast!" Saki shot out a ball of air from his keyblade, hitting a Powerwild and blowing away another. The Powerwild fell down on its head, then tipped over to wear it's stomach was on the ground, then quickly got back up and jumped in place like an actual monkey while the other one made its way up the tree. "Woah! There are monkey heartless!? That's the Coolest!" Saki said, energetic again. The Powerwild then rushed, running on all 4s, then slashing at Saki who just barely dodged by stepping backwards. "And it has claws!" Saki then took a step forward and slashed at the Powerwild, but it quickly dodged by jumping to the right! Saki's face was in surprise."Wait, what? I didn't know you could do that!" He exclaimed. The Powerwild then laughed at Saki's expression. What a noob! But that monkey wasn't laughing when he found himself being bonked on the head by the Street Rat's Keyblade, who happened to be smiling. "What do you think of them apples?"

Saki said, adding in a snicker. And the Powerwild replied by clashing his fist against Saki's head, making Saki's eyes bulge out for a bit, land on his bottom and rub his head. "Ow....That one was sour..." He said. The Powerwild once again laughed while Saki was getting back up. "I would just like to announce....I HATE THESE GUYS!!" He said before slashing upwards at the Powerwild, sending it back up the tree.

(I like to give Heartless Personality! It's kind of fun!)

Aello paused in her awesome tree examination when she saw movement in the canopy. And then it started raining Heartless! "Woah!" She exclaimed as she summoned her Keyblade. "Heartless monkey! That is almost as awesome as a heartless taco... In the name of the heartless taco whose awesomeness you are trying to surpass, I will defeat you!" She informed the heartless before jumping into the air, using a quick aero to jump higher. She aimed a few quick slashes at a Powerwild, knocking it backwards as she fell back towards the ground.

Maximilian frowned as he looked at the monkey heatless that attacked them, one powerwild went after him, using a tree to lunge at him, with a powerful swipe, "No." A flat one was said by Max as he cast magnet, which not only threw the powerwild off balance and threw it towards him, Max quickly grabbed the powerwild's tail and slammed it into the ground, summoning his keyblade, with a loud thud being heard where the heartless used to be, as it was destroyed.

"I am not in the mood for this" he said still rubbing his head, still feeling unwell, he shrugged it off and ran at one of the bouncywilds, casting magnet again, which made it impossible for her to dodge, as she was thrown towards him as he simply slashed forward with his huge keyblade, trails of darkness following him at every moment.

"Wait for these things to attack and react accordingly!" he advised the team, keeping up guard.

Heartless!

Well, I guess it wouldn't be as fun otherwise, Joel thought. He swatted away a Powerwild that was lunging toward him, knocking it into another tree. He then locked on to a Bouncywild hiding up on a branch above him, and cast Gravity on the enemy, causing it to fall out of its perch. Joel then hit it with a Strike Raid, killing the Heartless before it even touched the ground.

As his Keyblade was returning to him, it managed to hit a Powerwild who was unfortunate enough to jump out after its comrade. With the Heartless dazed, Joel was able to finish it off with a simple slice.

"So, looks like this path isn't too bad," he shouted jokingly as the others were finishing off their targets.

Sandrew joined in, starting off with an Stone skill, pushing the Soldier's back away from them.

"Well good thing I didn't leave completely." Raz said noticing the Heartless. As the Heartless attacked Raz did his best to dodge their attacks, Raz cast thunder at one of the Powerwild's. The Powerwild got hit but soon after charged at Raz clawing at him, Raz blocked the attack but got hit in the back by another one. Raz quickly did a back flip kick the one in front of him, and slashing at the one he got behind causing it to vanish. He then charged the one he kicked, but was knocked back since he didn't realize that the Powerwild had recovered so quickly. Raz stabbed his Keyblade into the ground to slow him down, and charged once again at the Powerwild. The Powerwild slashed at him again, but Raz figured it was coming and slid under the attack slashing at the Powerwild causing it to vanish as well. Raz stood up think he was done but was hit in the head by a Bouncywild, Raz looked up towards where the thought it came from, and noticed the Bouncywild jumping up and down laughing at him 'You son of a.' Raz thought. He used thunder on the Bouncywild multiple times until it vanished as well. "Mine are gone, so hurry up and finish up yours." Raz said to Saki and Joel.

"I think mine is gone too! oh, wait..." The Powerwild was dropping down, but it wouldn't make it to the ground for Saki casted a Aero Blast spell, defeating the wild heartless.

"Now mine's gone!" He said out loud. Then he heard laughing. Feminine laughter. He turned around to see a Bouncywild, who was laughing. "And what are you laughing at?" Saki asked. The Bouncywild pointed at Saki, giggling. "Of course me. Who else would you-..." Saki couldn't help but stop his sentence to see the Bouncywild was very close to him. "Are you familiar with the concept of personal space?" He asked, but the Bouncywild responded by fluttering its eyes. "....Why are you looking at me like that?" Saki said, stepping back. But the Bouncywild stepped forward, closer to him. "What is with you!?....Unless....Oh no..." Saki then started to look worried and did a nervous laugh. He rubbed the back of his head. "Heh...Heh....I would you to attack me now..." The Bouncywild then grabbed him and held him tightly. "Oh God....I'M BEING SQUASHED BY A HEARTLESS WHO LIKES ME!! HOW CAN YOU LOVE IF YOU'RE A HEARTLESS!? IT'S UNNATURAL!!" (DX)

It would have been easy to crush the Bouncywild with a Gravity spell... but Joel didn't necessarily want to break Saki's leg just yet.

"Yare yare daze..." Joel walked over to Saki and kicked the Heartless off of his leg. The Heartless flew into a tree, and Joel threw his Keyblade at it. The Bouncywild would have been pinned to the tree... if it had survived the attack. But it didn't.

Joel walked over to the tree and pulled his Keyblade out of the trunk. "Hopefully we're finished this time..." he said, unamused by what that had just happened.

-Rei-

Initiating  forward flip off Indy that ended with a massive flourishing strike at four Soldiers, the pink-haired daughter of Zion didn't stop. She used the momentum from her flourish to transition into a Jackie Chan like side kick flip thing, moving out of the way of a Soldier and kicking another into another.

"Nailed it!"

Saki sighed with relief. That was the most tightest hug he would ever have in his entire life. His smile soon came back and he faced Joel. "Thanks man. I thought I was going to be flattened by a Heartless who actually liked me..." Saki shivered at this thought. "But anyways, I think another one of mine went up the tree. I think it was another male monkey." Saki said.

Zather stood his ground, grinning faintly as a Heartless Soldier charged him. In a flash his Keyblade was out and he blocked the Soldier's claws.

Annistha grinned as she pulled theGunblade out, quick as lightning, and shot the Soldier in the head at point blank range.

"We sure they'd even use heartless?" She asked as the Heartless dissolved. "You'd think the Seeker's hate of darkness would prevent them from using these things."

She twirled the Gunblade on her index finger, the. Grabbed the handle as if transformed into blade mode.

Zather preformed a short leap, landing with both blades coming down on another hapless Heartless.

"Plus, if usually requires a strong connection to darkness to direct Heartless." He pointed out, as he straightened up. "Where would the zealots get that power?"

Raidyn / Toshi

Raidyn continued to battle the Heartless alongside his classmates. He dueled against a Soldier Heartless one-on-one, dodging its attacks with his speed and then taking advantage by slashing it up into the air.

"Thunder!" He cried, summoning a bolt of lightning to strike down on the Soldier, the monster dissipating into bits of Darkness. "Almost forgot I could do that," Raidyn joked as he continued fighting.

Toshi was faring a bit better by herself against the Heartless. Though, it was clear she was still struggling when the Soldier she was fighting caught her off guard with a hard kick to her chest, sending her flying back.

"Ugh... uh... Heal!" She cried, using her patented Cure spell to heal herself and get back in the fight, something he had made a habit of while fighting thus far in the entirety of the journey.

"I won't back down!" She said to herself as she faced the Soldier once more, actually managing to kill it after she had sidestepped the same kick it used on her previously and countered with a spinning slash of her Keyblade. "Wow, I... I did it!"
