I'd prefer not to see puzzles that are more annoying than clever and make you backtrack to move forward all of the time. : P

not really, but I've heard that it had a simple story even though I think it didn't. I'll go edit it out right now.

Well i wouldn't say that it doesn't but I wouldn't say it does. I was mainly asking for discussion purposes...

I would like a meaningful plot. But more than anything else I want the game to be more open. I'm playing Tales of Xillia 2 atm and it feels kind of restricted. One more thing I saw in the gameplay for Zestiria is the transition from overworld to battle is very seamless. Beauuuuuutiful!!!!

I think Zestiria tries to be a complex game but fails miserably in the delivery, at least that's what I've gathered from the little spoiling I've been doing.

In my opinion, the story should be just as great as the gameplay. You know what they say, "The bigger the Better."

And from a few images I've seen of it so far, looks to me like the gameplay is going to have a mix of Xenoblade and Tales of. With immediate transitions into battles in the over world to walking straight into a town with no loading times like Xenoblade while still keeping the combat style of the other Tales of games (Use left stick and specific attack button to do an Arte or different attack).

I mean, if it's on the PS4, it needs to be big, right?

it's on the ps3 and ps4

it's on the ps3 and ps4

Oh! Really? On ps3 too? Then it's settled: I'm hoping for a game that plays like Tales of, but has the battle transitions and overworld like Xenoblade! This will be interesting...

Since the game is coming out in a month or so, I wonder what you guys don't really want to see in the game.

I really hope that Tales of Zestiria battle system doesn't have anything to do with Tales of Graces' battle system. I hated how that game played.

I really am not up to Tales Of series, but I really wouldn't want Save places like KH has, or annoying af puzzles that just leave you there for half an hour or so.

I respect your opinion.

Man, I wish there was a way to do the co-op with you guys! Playing a Tales of Game with actual other Tales of fans would be awesome!

I hate to burst your bubble but they based this games gameplay off of Graces battle system

well, I'll play it anyways. Hopefully it plays better. From what I've seen, the gameplay seems slightly different.

Honestly it would have been better if they expanded upon Tales of Xillia's battle system. It wasn't TOO confusing to understand and it wasn't TOO easy either.

This trailer got me hyped up for the game again. Even though i'm not getting it, I'll find a way to play it.

Um isn't this game already out in Japan? Why did they show a new trailer for it at TGS?

Okay, so I just discovered this game is coming out on Friday in the UK! Since there's already a ps3 version and A TON of tales fans on here, should I pick the PS4 version up or no? The PS4 version isn't out yeah obviously, but what is the game like in terms of story and gameplay? (of course there's not going to be huge changes since it's just a port).

I've never played a tales game before btw

thank you! xD

you should get the ps4 version and I'm pretty sure that both of the versions are coming out on the same day.

The gameplay is going to be more like Tales of Graces f and that game kinda has a really creative battle system even though I didn't like it that much. You should try out the game anyways because you might like it. The

The story won't be as deep as Tales of the abyss, but i'm pretty sure it won't be super simple like Tales of Graces f

Do you have a PS3 yourself?  To be honest I doubt there will be much difference from the PS3 and 4 versions since, as you mentioned, they're only ports.  In my experience with the Tales ports it seems that most elements of the game are practically the same, with the only difference being a slight improvement in graphics.  If you only have a PS4 and want to switch solely to the PS4 I'd say go for it, but personally I would probably just buy it on the PS3 since it will be cheaper and practically be the same game.

If you don't have Zestiria yet I'd probably say that you couldn't go wrong with it.  I love the Tales series!
