KH3 not releasing until 2017

 

KH3 is finally gonna give closure after the 5 year wait since Birth by Sleep

At least with the next KH title we know their won't be some kind of cliffhanger...at least I hope not

The wait for the next installment! We've waited so long for KH3 since the last big installment and I would rather get really hyped then get a bunch of things! But at the same time, it would be good to have a break in between so it feels more worthy Although we have been waiting for a while, so how much worse is just 1 year?

If KH III releases in 2017 , we can all be sure that it's gonna be one heck of a game . Which means that we will all be satisfied and won't be looking forward to the next franchise even after 3-4 years or so . If KH III comes way earlier than expected , then we'll probably be disappointed and we will just begin our long wait for the next franchise without doing anything . But the chances of KH III being a disappointment are slim to none so I can't really pick one of your options .

From a development perspective we can't do anything and I'd rather wait for the game to be 100% perfect and to provide a satisfactory conclusion to the Dark Seeker Saga, that way when the next instalment is finally for sale we won't have any lingering questions ( sorry for the pun) we just have to trust the Osaka team to deliver

Waiting for the next installment definitely. If you're going by the thought that it'd be 3 years gap, then we'd be looking at the next installment on on the next generation consoles, presumably PlayStation 5 and Xbox y.

if we can somehow withstand an 11 year wait, we can survive a 3-6 year wait.

i'm fine with a 3-6 year wait for a new title. KH3 is the ending of this current saga so it'd make sense to give fans some downtime before having to get invested in another decade long story. Plus those 3-6 years could be used by nomura to actually write the story ahead of time so we don't have to endure retcons upon retcons in later games. 

Also not having KH3 until 2017 won't be a problem for me. I'll have Persona 5 to keep me busy

I think I would be more disappointed if KH3 didn't come out until 2017.  I mean, I'd hate an excruciating wait for the next title, but at least KH3 will add some closure to what we have so far.  I would prefer to get that game sooner and wait longer for the next saga rather than wait an additional length of time for KH3.

Probably KH3. I can kind of understand all the time we've been waiting for kh3 because of tech limitations, and disney not being as involved.

 

Disney being more involved now might be helpful for the future, and the tech now being more capable of recreating the movie worlds properly it might not be as long a wait for the next installment after 3, but this is just hopeful thinking.
