IMO this is the saddest moment in One Piece and every other anime I've seen so far.

All I can say is that an anime must be good when it makes you cry about a ship.

 

 

You can skip to 6:40 for the real sad part.

 

And this moment isn't actually sad but very emotional: In Hunter x Hunter in the episode where Killua fights against Rammot (the chimera ant) while Gon has his date with Palm.

This is the first time Killua really says that Gon is his best friend and that he wants to protect him, and that's for me the most emotional moment of HxH.

I completely forgot to mention that on my post! How could I forget to do so when it's an event from my favourite One Piece Arc? XDDD.

The saddest moment in all of anime is when Boku No Pico ended :(

The buildup and the deaths of Rem, Watari and L in the 25th episode Death Note.

This entire episode was set up brilliantly, and their deaths were both sympathetic and shocking. Those characters were not only well-developed and great, but they were also very likable and grew on you. The genius of this episode will always stay with me.

Whenever a leomon is killed off in Digimon T.T WHY CAN'T THEY LIVE DAMNIT?

 

Also when Eldradamon died in Digimon data squad. It was the saddest thing T.T
