Did you find out Terra was

before or after you played BBS.

I first saw a Birth by Sleep theory on youtube and it said Terra was

Xehanort

and I thought no way, then I thought mabey then after I saw trailers, read the Ansem reports and saw scenes from Final mix I knew it was definetly true.

Dude, mega spoilers. Anyways, I never would have thought that he was Terra until I saw the cutscene the day BBS came out in Japan. I didn't even think of the resemblance they shared until I watched that.

after id seen a few images of terra and a little talking with my friend, i slowly noticed a similarity between the two, the facial composure, the eyes, stature, and then i realized it was true

I still haven't played it and I know. So, before. I watched all of the BBS cutscenes. I spoil everything for myself 'cause I have the inability to wait.

I was looking at a picture of terra and i thought he looks like Xemnas after that i was watching the battle of aqua and terranort when i saw terranort i was all like whaaaaaaaaaaaat noooo waaay thats imposible!!!! lol

To answer your question it is before. Waaaaaay back when famitsu were releasing scans. The how and why kept on bothering me until I finished watching it.

It really wasn't that hard. I mean, just look at them. It didn't take a genius to find out they were linked in some way. Even though the specific details weren't known, their appearances were enough of a giveaway to show that something would

happen to Terra and cause him to become Xehanort.

the first time i saw his face, i thought he was a younger xehanort.

 

but after i learned who he was and stuff i thought he must be at least part of xehanort.

i looked at his hair and just asumed

I already knew back in 2007, tbh.

1) Their hair is the same. 2) In Final Mix+, Xigbar mentions how "Xehanort" appeared after the events of Birth by Sleep. 3) Also in Final Mix+, Xemnas is seen talking to Aqua's armor. 4) In the Secret Trailer for Final Mix+ it shows Terra's eyes turning yellow, which is only something that happens to the various versions of Xehanort. 4) There was a character named Master Xehanort who looks nothing like the Xehanort we knew before. So I figured Master Xehanort just possessed Terra's body and he got amnesia somehow (cause Ansem the Wise said when he found Xehanort, he couldn't remember who he was; just his name).

i was reading theories on various bbs info back when it was announced and i found one on that

Essentally what slmcknett said. After i saw those cutscenes in FM+, i knew who he was.

I read these theories sometime in 2008. If I recall some some of them even had the exact details of that it was mx's heart in Terra's body. There were also some that included Vanita's so I didn't know what to think.

I watched all of the BBS ending clips in Japanese the second I found them on YouTube. The one with Terra was the first one I watched, so...

Though I did see some theories beforehand so it wasn't really THAT big of a shock.

oh...lets say about 2 years before BBS was out
