zelda u has to be at e3 this year.

Posted

I don't see why nintendo can't show it off this year because they were unable to last year. I predict that at e3 this year the following things can happen with the game:

1. a release date announcement

2. an official zelda u trailer

3. an official zelda u trailer that shows new gameplay elements that they've briefly talked about last year

Of course they'll show Zelda U this year, the reason they didn't show it last year was because of the delay.

Let's hope we get some news about Zelda U.

If not, then it's not a problem.

Well, yeah, odds are. I think it kind of goes without saying. But then again Nintendo has always been a little harder for me to read into than Square or Disney, so who knows? But I'd say it's pretty good chances that it'll be there.

You can pretty much lock it in, unless the delay from last year was so they could make massive changes, the game is likely near completion. Zelda is likely their big fall game so you can expect to see it in one form or another at E3.

In the grand scheme of things, video games are not important. Regardless if Zelda shows up at E3 this year, there are far more important matters going on in the world. That being said, within the context of a video game discussion......Zelda U BETTER show up at E3 this year. It's not just another Nintendo game being released this year, it is THE Nintendo game this year. Regardless how you feel about Zelda, or Starfox, or whatever, no one can deny that Zelda U is the big Nintendo game for 2016. Personally, I'm kinda more excited about SMTxFE than Zelda U, but if Zelda U isn't going to show up for E3, then I say Nintendo might as well not show up to E3.They should still have some kind of Direct before or after E3, but if they're going to hold off on their big guns AGAIN, why even bother?

I understand your concern, but I think Nintendo is going to take this year very seriously. They know the fans want zelda u and have been waiting for the game for years, so I expect them to show zelda u at e3 because if they don't who knows what will happen...

Don't expect things. Just look forward to the possibility of it showing up. If it hasn't been confirmed, then don't expect. If it has, then you're fine.

You've said my thoughts xD

Don't overhype for it or anything, just think of it as a posibility, so if it doesn't show up you're not really dissapointed, but if it does show up it's a nice surprise!

Isn't this situation VERY similar to another game?

what other games are you referring to?

I know, but it's getting pretty obvious that the have to show zelda u at e3 because it's obviously coming out this year.

Great minds think alike.;)

KH3:

-First year(2013): announced at E3 with a trailer, recieved more tidbits of info throughout the year with another trailer at another event (D23)

-Second year(2014): Recieved only a small teaser and almost no info, with a filler game released in the later half of the year (2.5).

-Third year(2015): Recieved a new trailer at E3, with a lot more information throughout the year and yet another trailer at another event(D23 Japan)

Zelda U:

-First year(2014): Announced at E3 with a trailer, recieved more tidbits of info throughout the year with another trailer at another event (TGA 2014)

-Second year(2015): Recieved only a small teaser(November nintendo direct) and almost no info, with a filler game released in the later half of the year (Triforce Heroes)

Of course, it's not exactly the same, since KH had 3 filler games if you consider the HD Remixes as such, while Zelda had WWHD and TH, Zelda U will likely be released in it's 3rd year and has been delayed while KH3 is going smoothly on development and won't release till 2017 at the earliest, etc. My point is that the development cycle of these games are very similar IMO, and I don't know if I should call it coincidence or how development cycles of new games go, or something else. If the pattern continues, then Zelda U might have a new trailer with tons of info (maybe even a name) while having a demo at something like Pax Prime or another event.

After last year's disappointing E3, they kind of have to. Well there is the NX stuff we'll hear about...
