Im in college now and by god it is the most draining thing ever holy shit. I hardly ever have time for my own personal art anymore. College hasnt stopped me from drawing mind you(Im getting my major in animation after all so I always have to be drawing) but all my art has basically been homework.

Anything that I end up doing is brainless sketches.

This was done in class out of boredom.

Also my brain has been so fried that the only girl I ever draw now is this girl.

I swear by the end of college Ill be able to draw her perfectly on a whim.

Anyways, for those who cared, thats why I havent been uploading art. Its not that Im not doing it, most of it just isnt worth posting.

But OH GOD YES it's exhausting! And people think art is easy? There's a whole world outside that required art basics class you had to take in high school, the animation industry is no joke!

 

But yeah, I seriously need to start practicing in my free time again, I want to start grinding and leveling up to something as good as that, I've stayed stagnant for too long.

Oh I hear you. I've definitely learned a lot (am a Junior in college) and it's gone by rather quickly, but I find myself so drained that I don't even have the drive to do art for myself sometimes

 

Also, that's a lovely piece of work! I love the eyes. Eyes are so hard to get perfect for me Dx

Yeah college is a bitch, I'm doing essentially the same thing as you and am exhausted everyday. Important thing though is you get to do what you love everyday, not just anyone can pursue a career in animation.

Ugh, I know.  Hang in there.

Oh, so that's why you haven't been posting any drawings recently!  It all makes sense now!  But don't worry, cuz I think this drawing you posted is badass!  Great job!
