Posted March 31, 20169 yr Miitomo is a social app all about making friends and communicating with them through your Mii character. It's available on iOS and Android smartphone devices. Have you picked it up or will you be picking it up?
March 31, 20169 yr I've had Miitomo for the past few days but really delved into it today because of the 'official' english release and all. I find the app really enjoyable and it's given me quite a few laughs. It's simple and super fun to just mess aroud with. I'm totally going to be using it more in the future. The only real problem I have with the app is the way you add friends. Hopefully they'll add some more ways like maybe using the QR codes to add someone rather than just being able to use a persons mii. I really need some more friends ._.

March 31, 20169 yr same lol. i mean adding through twitter or facebook seems weird I can understand why but there really should just be a simplier way. I'd personally like to add some people I don't really know (because it's not like I already know anyone who is going to use Miitomo) and get to know them. Nintendo's current design choice kinda stops that.
March 31, 20169 yr It probably uses up too much battery, and I'm out of the house for most of the day, so I can't really charge it that often.
March 31, 20169 yr Options has a energy saver option. I enjoyed the customization. Why the hell isn't most of this present on miiverse? In fact, screw miiverse, I prefer this.
March 31, 20169 yr It seems kind of interesting, but I wish that it had something like Streetpass so that I could use it to talk with new people, too. As someone who's really shy and doesn't really talk to anyone at my university, I was hoping that there'd be some sort of way for me to interact with the people at my school and ease into a conversation with people that have similar interests. Instead, it's just focused on my close friends that I already talk to often. Still using it for the Platinum coins, though.
March 31, 20169 yr It looks like it has a lot of potential, but there isn't a "Nintendo" way of adding friends. As in, using their friend codes or Nintendo accounts to add them, which is quite strange. Hoping they do add that feature in the future.
April 1, 20169 yr Hey everyone. Add me on Twitter so I can play with you guys! @cale_hughes. I don't use it but I didn't want to add a lot of people on Facebook.
April 1, 20169 yr I'm already grinding like crazy for all the cat clothes, lol. But agreed, the friending system is terrible. I have all of... two friends IRL who might download it, and I refuse to sign up to Facebook or Twitter (I do have the latter, but purely for posting my PS4 screencaps), so I feel like I will be forever alone in my tiny mii apartment.
April 1, 20169 yr It's an absolute blast thus far. Definitely helps to have funny friends though. The Miifoto is easily my favourite feature from it haha. The friend system is strange, I only have 6 Facebook friends who use it, but we are trying to encourage others to use it too. As odd as it sounds, I'm glad there is no censorship on it. You can say whatever you want to your friends and while they could report an answer chances are they won't as they know you. Not sure what to make of the new point system in My Nintendo though, but I'm sure it'll get better over time. So far so good any ways!
