Will KHUX be released in Europe?

Posted

At first, I was hoping that it would. But then, I remembered the game's announcement at E3 2015.

"Also, we just made the announcement that KINGDOM HEARTS χ [chi], a PC browser game that was previously only available in Japan, will be coming to North America as KINGDOM HEARTS Unchained χ."

This was posted in the official Square Enix website.Did you notice that it says "North America"?It doen't refer to Europe at all!!So, maybe this means that it will never come out in Europe.?What do you guys think?

Maybe, maybe not, but it doesn't matter. As long as there is an English version somewhere, there will always be ways to get it, no matter where you are. I'm in Australia and I'm playing it.

I... hope you're wrong and it does come to Europe xD

But at this point anything could happen.

I happen to know English, but most of Europe doesn't know English :/

But the real issue is why delay it for the countries that do speak English primarily? Just release that separately for Britain/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand (especially the last two, because we're always stuck with European versions and delays due to being a PAL region), then release the translations when they're done.

Yeah, I don't see it happening. It's too much work for such a niche market.

I am sure it will eventually release. The game's story is crucial for Kingdom Hearts series and releasing it only in NA and Japan doesn't make sense.

I sure hope so, don't really wanna have to do all the roundabout stuff to play it, but as far as we know right now, a European version hasn't even been announced yet

Makes me wonder though, what could be stopping them from releasing it in the EU now? Are there legal issues? Are they adding language support? Are they giving EU their own servers which they still need to get online? Whatever it is, it probably isn't so simple for them to just pop it into the EU app stores

or they're just being jerks

If it's for language reasons, I'm annoyed... I feel like I'm being overly salty about not getting it although I could just easily get it from the US App store? But I kinda feel bad about doing that, so I haven't done it yet. ._.

I just don't know, I feel like most people know at least some english, so they could play the game if they wanted (though understanding the story is a different matter, so maybe it's not a valid option)? And maybe the other language options could be added later if needed? I mean, there's so many small countries in Europe that won't be getting a version in their native language anyway (probably? can't be just a finnish thing), so postponing the European release for language reasons feels a bit pointless to me.

Of course, the reason could be something else entirely. There's no way of knowing.

It'd be nice if they would even announce whether or not it'll be coming here. I've just gotten so frustrated about always getting games so late compared to America. Since this is not the only time I've had to stress over this exact same matter.

Again, sorry for being so salty.

They need to establish servers, add a few languages. One of the issues I've noticed with my NA KHuX is that load times are slow. I think it's because the NA server is quite far from Australia, and is probably overloaded with many non NA players. I'd recommend the NA version, if you want a head start. If you can wait, wait. The events and daily rewards follow NA time for me, so I have to work with that.

Europe is hardly a niche market

Not Europe as a whole. Individual countries like Spain, Italy etc. Making translations for countries like that would be making it for a niche market, since there are few Kingdom Hearts fans in those countries.
