Nintendo E3 Plans Revealed. No Digital Event

Posted

Wow...just WOW Nintendo. So you promise us that you will give us a better E3 this year...by not showing anything at all except Zelda Wii U. Just what the heck is Nintendo even thinking right now? Don't get me wrong, I do look forward to seeing some new Zelda Wii U gameplay but seriously this is dumb. Looks like the only thing at E3 I'll truly look forward to this year is Sony's. How sad because I always look forward to their E3 conferences/digital events.

Is it just me or Nintendo is getting worse with each new day D:

The only thing I can think of right now is that they'll give us Nintendo Directs in July and September showing off more games and NX. Still, bad marketing for Federation Force. That games looks fun, and by the way I am seeing it, it will be a real bomb just like Star Fox.

I'll be brutally honest, the only thing I truly care for with E3 is Cuphead and Kingdom Hearts. Everything else is just dessert for me.

As much as I love zelda, it's just disappointing for nintendo to only focus on zelda u at e3 this year.

I'm personally not that disappointed. They should've been sharing Zelda U/NX news for a while now. Zelda is really the only title I look forward to at their E3. I love their other series, don't get me wrong, and I see both sides of this. I'm just happy they're finally going all out with Zelda news, especially since it's the 30th anniversary. Nintendo should've at least acknowledged their other anniversaries, though.

I really don't know what to think right now...  l'll just wait for E3 at this point... And hope for the best, even if it's hard.

I'm okay with this. Nintendo is making a good choice. I mean, outside of the new Zelda, what game coming to Wii U even has a remote chance of being good? (Don't give me none of that Color Splash crap, cause we all know that'd be a lie) The Wii U is dying, Zelda is literally all that matters right now, and NX is coming next year. I've heard it all today from everywhere. People can't complain like this and then tell me it's constructive criticism, because it literally isn't. It's just people being negative because Nintendo isn't doing what they want from it. The Wii U is as good as dead and we can move forward from there when we start to pick up on that. Again, I love the Wii U, it's not a bad console, but it has done nothing good for Nintendo in its years it has lived through. We can all just forget about it and move on. The NX will be a much better console. Also, in case you didn't hear: Nintendo isn't the only one opting out of the traditional E3 stuff. A lot of developers and companies are and that can only lead down the road where E3 no longer exists and honestly, after these past few years. E3 as a whole has sucked. Nintendo's Directs are usually way better than E3, Sony's PlayStation Experience is way better than its E3, and Microsoft might as well start doing their own events and forget about E3 at this point.

I don't know about you guys, but E3 this year is still looking alright to me. Nintendo is set in stone with Zelda and for me, that's the best thing I could wish for. Sony and Microsoft have their presentations and I'll keeping an eye out on those too. For now, I'm gonna stick to it with Nintendo, considering Zelda is all I've been anticipating from them over the years.

So literally the only thing they have to show for themselves is the game that they could have released on one system this year but instead delayed a whole year for the sake of porting it on to another console that they can't even bother to make a unique AAA title for. Look, I'm all about delaying games for their highest quality, but by all means the game should be just fine, if not perfect, as it stands on the Wii U already by now. Literally the extra year could only be spent on just adjusting things so that it functions well on the NX, there is literally nothing else you could add or change to the Wii U version to improve it's quality. At least, I WOULD say that if we were shown a bunch more, but until then I can only speculate that the Wii U version is essentially finished while they hold it back for the sake of the NX mooching inheriting a release title from it's predecessor. And they literally have nothing else to show for it. Literally the spotlight is going to be on Sony, Microsoft, Sega, literally all of Nintendo's rivals are doing things right at this point (well, maybe. I mean first it looked like Sega was confirming a Sonic event at E3, but now Webber is saying that they don't have anything planned there...). They had at least better do a better job with marketing the NX, cause I swear to god if they mess it up like they did with the Wii U and barely tell anyone anything or just expect everyone to know what they're all about, they're just going to keep getting further and further behind in the race. xP

Nah I lied.  :P

Nintendo. So you promise us

See, that's where fans set themselves up for disappointment. When will people learn Nintendo says stuff that doesn't always come true? Was not the Wii U enough proof?

because they think Nintendo is going to do what they say, but end up not considering the fact that things could change.

Wait what? No Pokémon Sun and Moon? It is going to be out this year.

That's why Nintendo Directs exist.

Yeah but still If they want to promote it more.

All attention needs to be on ZeldaU now I guess.

E3 is dying. A lot of people are actually passing on it.

called it...but I wish I didn't TT_TT

There has to be a Direct either before or after E3 to focus on other stuff. Like, that's me scraping the barrel for any type of positivity from them.

As a non-Zelda fan/player, Nintendo have effectively given me no other choice but to ignore them this year. Nintendo of America are one of the most deluded companies out there and they literally don't give a shit about their fanbase. Last year was a huge wake up call to the point where Iwata apologised. Yet a year on, they seem to have learned absolutely nothing.

It's not all a disaster. Zelda is undoubtedly their next big game (next to Pokemon). So fans who are excited for it get to finally see it (and a lot of it). However, I don't think anyone can be happy with Nintendo based on what they've done this E3. Sony and Microsoft must be laughing so hard.

Oh well, I guess I'll focus on everyone else this E3. Even Ubisoft is ahead of Nintendo and I don't care for any of their big games :/
