Recently watched Frozen, Big Hero 6 and Up!.

 

Any other potential films people wanna suggest and recommend in preparation for KH3?

Literally anything they announce. If you haven't seen Hercules yet by this point...well first of all that's a real shock since you've had about 6 games worth of Olympus Coliseum so far, so if you haven't watched Herc's debut yet, then yeah get right on with watching that. Also, be sure to watch Tangled. I've seen it when it first came out but I might need to do a refresher watch to get ready for KH3 awesomeness. Plus, it'll feel really refreshing since Frozen is still way too fresh in my mind...but odds are I might watch Frozen again anyway.

Zootopia, Frozen, Tangled. Most DIsney movies from 2010-now.

It probably wouldn't hurt to watch The Jungle Book (the animated one) and Robin Hood. I think they have pretty high chances of being in KH3.

Just do yourself a favour and watch all the Walt Disney Animation Studios movies from Snow White and The Seven Dwarves all the way to Moana (once it's released in theatres). Cherry picking select movies just because they're in Kingdom Hearts III is not wise. You're missing out on your next favourite movie by just choosing the "Kingdom Hearts III" Disney movies.

yup, I watched Hercules as a kid! Loved the musical themes 'Go the Distance' and 'Don't say I'm in love'. I also watched some of the episodes to the TV series when it was out. Yesh! I shall try and find/make time for Tangled! I was just thinking if Frozen ever made KH3 it would prob serve as a musical world like Atlantica from KH2. After watching Frozen, my impression was it was very much a sing-along film with a song averaging every 5-10 mins.

I need to wait for Zootopia!! But from what I've heard, Zootopia was really good.

I have, Cinderella, Snow White Pocahontas....etc. I started tuning out of Disney/Pixar animated films since 2005-ish thats why I wanted to ask for people's opinions. unfortunately its difficult for me to find time for films so I need to pick out a handful that I can make time for.

Fair enough, well, seeing as Kingdom Hearts III is more than likely going to be using worlds and assets from the Disney Revival Era, I suggest you watch the following.

 

• Bolt
• The Princess and the Frog
• Winnie the Pooh (2011)
• Wreck-It Ralph
• Frozen
• Big Hero 6
• Zootopia
• Moana (when it comes out in theaters: Maui has a good chance of being a summon)

Yup!

I'm kind of almost hoping that it ISN'T going to be a musical world. I mean, odds are it will be seeing how popular the songs are (well, most of them anyway), but I kind of want to see the story done right by way of how Kingdom Hearts typically tells narratives, meaning that songs aren't always necessary. Plus, unless Haley has really worked on his voice, I'm not sure I want to sit through a version of Let It Go featuring Elsa, Sora, DONALD, and Goofy (oh lord the Donald....). But we'll see how it goes I guess.

Well, I suggest watching Treasure Planet, Atlantis: The Lost Empire and The Emperor's New Groove, but not just because they might get the spotlight in KHIII, but because those three are some of my most favorite Disney films!  I also loved Tangled,(FREAKIN LOVED IT!) and Big Hero 6!!! I've yet to see Zootopia though!
