This is something I've been wondering about for a while: does Sora now know what happened in Castle Oblivion? Of course I know that at the end of CoM his memories of it were erased, but what about now? If I remember correctly (and I may be wrong, so please correct me if so) at the end of Coded data Naminé explained to Mickey everything that had happened, but did he tell Sora about this after that? I really don't remember whether this was stated in the games or I'm just making this up

Actually he kinda knows about it since when he is reunited with Riku in KHII the entries for Organization XIII CoM members are added to the journal, therefore, assuming Riku has told them about it. As for story confirmation he seems to know bits and pieces but not the whole experience. He is told that he had to sleep to regain his memories but he can´t remember what he felt, learned or who he defeated there. It´s quite complicated to answer a yes or no to your question.

I don't think think he does. I believe Naminé has said that when she puts his memory back together, he would forget everything that happened in that castle.

Sora isn't supposed to know what happened in Com, but then, there's this certain scene in Dream Drop Distance...

 

 

I'm assuming that since he's in a dream, well, that's how he remembers her name and the promise of saying thanks to her, ya know?  I dunno what to make of this. Sora's supposed to not know about the events of Com, and yet he remembers Namine here.  That's got me a tad bit confused! X_X

However memories cannot be erased; merely the chain is re-arranged. So in Sora's heart he has retained his memories of CO. Yes he seemed blank at that start of KH2 when Jiminy's Journal says ' Thank Namine' and he seemed totally oblivious to Axel throughout the game. However; in 2.5 for some random reason before Armoured. Xehanort part 2, he says to Riku ' I never did thank Namine'. So that shows there is some recollection. That could be due to Roxas reacting to Namine inside Sora's heart; however I do feel as if Sora to an extent recalls.

 

To sum it up shortly for you- I doubt he fully remembers; but deep in his heart the memories are still there and I feel as if he recalls elements.

Well,that "I never did thank Naminé" could easily be just Sora remembering the Jiminy's journal and taking it seriously, but yeah, we know that memories can't really be completely erased so... his heart knows. Maybe when Sora returns in CO to rescue Ventus (come on, it's gonna happen) he will remember everything, but who knows.

Nope, he still doesn't know. I imagine Mickey and Riku have told him some stuff, but yeah, he definitely still doesn't know as far as we know.
