Well, it's obvious you guys don't like the new warning system... so, how about this for a compromise...

 

How about we keep the warning system, however all record of points and "warning level" is removed? So basically, you'd get this "warning", which would basically just be telling you what you did wrong, but there's no immediate punishment that goes along with it. How does that sound?

 

That way, it still makes the mods job easier, as we have a record of your past offenses. However, you don't have that annoying number next to your name, so you won't feel bad, etc etc. Sound good?

By keeping a record does that entail that a punishment to the crime would happen eventually? You do say there would be consequences but how do you mean? What kind of punishments would happen besides comment privileges and banning?

 

Bottom line are there still like 6 to 8 strikes then you pay the price? Or is it just so offendies won't have to look at a number?

Sounds good to me to be honest, we did something similar on a site I modded on a while ago. The whole warning, document it on a thread (mod and admin only, of course), contact the user and tell them what they've done wrong. It's a very effective method that's easy on the mods and makes it easy for the members to see what they've done wrong.'

 

So, it sounds good to me. Especially considering it makes it easier on everyone.

I like this. As long as I get contacted if I break a rule, I'm fine.

It really makes no difference to me. I thought the new system was simpler for Mods. *shrugs* If other people want it changed, I don't mind either way.

Personally, i like the Warning system. I don't get whats so wrong with having that Number and all that stuff.

But heck if you all want it gone i don't care.

 

it annoys the people that actually get the warnings and the number increased by their names.

kyleskey, the warning system is basically the little percentage thingy under your username/avatar/posts/rep/ect

The level raises when you break the rules and a mod warns you.
