Posted July 8, 20169 yr It looks a lot brighter and more white and the animal has something on it's head.
July 8, 20169 yr It's the Drawing-Graphics. You could also say that the Black coat is much brighter then in other KH-Games.
July 8, 20169 yr Like I said in another thread. Full 3-D render and chibi art style it's going to be a lot different.

You can't deny that one looks black and the other doesn't.

You can't deny that one looks black and the other doesn't.It's completely different art styles though. Also all the Keyblades we have are definitely not 100% identical to their 3D renders. Not too mention there is a lot of shadow on this render. If you look at the actual blade I'm game it's a bit brighter. Edited July 8, 20169 yr by Robbie the Wise

They are slightly brighter, like with what you're saying, but Xehanort's is drastically brighter to the point where it almost looks white.

Sleeping Lion has almost the exact same contrast as Xehanort's Keyblade. Again look at MX's Keyblade in game, it a bit brighter then The render you're using. July 8, 20169 yr Author Sleeping Lion has almost the exact same contrast as Xehanort's Keyblade. Again look at MX's Keyblade in game, it a bit brighter then The render you're using. You can't compare Sleeping Lion to Xehanort's keyblade because the Sleeping Lion was already lighter than Xehanort's in previous games and every render or screen shot you see of Xehanort's keyblade it's dark and black not bright and almost white. I'm thinking it's because it's still new and hasn't had battle damage and wear and tear from the Keyblade war and just plan ageing. Edited July 8, 20169 yr by Kingdomhe
July 8, 20169 yr I'm going to have to say it's just an art style difference. There isn't enough dramatic difference for me to assume otherwise. If there was something slightly different about the design itself, then that might be different, but from what I can see it's just slightly brighter and all the Keyblades in X are like that. If you want to stretch it though, I suppose you could say that since it's one of the oldest active Keyblades ever, all the dark stuff on it is just wear and tear from the years of use and existence. I mean, you saw how rusty all those Keyblades in the Graveyard looked, right? Odds are they used to be shiny and new looking at some point, and Xehanort has been using his abilities as a Keyblade wielder towards a path following Darkness, it seems only natural that the Keyblade just got kind of tainted from all the years of use and possible over-exposure to Darkness. But I guess that will largely depend on how it's depicted in Back Cover. Don't forget, this is told through the lenses of a fairy tale, everything is going to look slightly idealized, even something as sinister as Xehanort's Keyblade (hope we get a name for it soon).

Yeah I was going with that, I wasn't trying to imply that it was a different keyblade or something.
July 8, 20169 yr Yeah I was going with that, I wasn't trying to imply that it was a different keyblade or something. I get that, but you also said the animal had something on it's head and, well, I don't see it. The color difference is literally the only thing I've picked up on. Otherwise it feels like we're all on the same page.

July 8, 20169 yr These marks: but they could just be there because of what we said earlier. Yeah I think they're already there, it's just a detail that they decided to highlight as well as the newer look of the blade.
