There are Technos, those who wish to create technology. Anthros, those who want to connect with Earth itself. The Medivals, those who focus more on the Dark Ages. And The Citys, which treat each culture equally and experiment by combining them in unique ways. But soon...A great evil is about to arise...The same evil that came in the past...And I assume you all want to hear the tale that will be told...The story of how an unlikely team...Allies...Friends...Came together and saved the world while facing hardships, discoveries, and regrets...This is the story...The Legend...The myth of how...In the City of Aquila...Where classmates joined together to explore the world never tamed....

A building that was the size of a Skyscraper stood alongside buildings of unthinkable height. People came and went on their normal lives, playing on their phones, trying to get to work on time, and of course, kids playing around on the sidewalk.

With everything that was happening outside, it was a very important day for some at the Aquilia Combat School. (The building that was as tall as a skyscraper)

In one room, many students, roughly 30-35 students, talked and roamed around Room 408, a class that specializes in offensive and defensive skills. One student wore a Red Mage outfit with a black feather instead of the traditional white feather. Her body was laid back in her desk, with her feet crossed and resting on top of her desk. Her hands were behind her head and her hat covered her eyes. Sure, the class was bit loud, but it didn't bother her. She was used to it.

"Today's the big day!" A female student said.

"I'm a bit nervous...I-I don't know if I'll do well..." A male student said.

"Hey, cheer up! We're all doing this together you know. We'll be by your side and help you out." A male student said with a higher-pitched voice.

"Hah! Don't make me laugh." Another female student suddenly said. She looked to be about 17, given her appearance and height. Her hair was long and blonde and her clothes were more on a rebel styled attire. A smirk was on her face as she overheard the recent conversation. She leaned on the side of the wall with her arms crossed and her eyes closed. "You low-lives won't even remember how to punch once you get there. Unlike me, you don't stand a chance." She said with a very confident, yet rude tone.

"Says the garbage bagged girl." The Red Mage said. The classroom giggled a bit at her comment. The Rebel clothed girl growled at the Red Mage and opened her mean eyes. "Shut it, Solisa. Once I'm through with you, you'll be "Sol-Loser"." The Rebel responded.

"Wow...." The Red Mage replied. "That pun was as outdated as your clothing. Not-To-Be-Sold." The class bursts into laughter. The Red Mage wasn't afraid of this cocky-bully. "Why you little...!" The Rebel then walked to the Red Mage's desk and slammed her hands on the Red Mage's desk. "Listen, you peeping pipsqueak. I'm trying not to get in trouble today. So shut up or else I'll pound you before the exam even starts! Got it!?"

"....That's it? You'll pound me? Sheesh, for trying to be a good student I'm glad you ain't an angel Sara."

"SHUT UP!!" Sara yelled out with rage. "Don't make me come back, you Mage maggot." With that, she took a deep breath and walked back to her spot, leaning against the wall and crossed her arms.

After Zion managed to avoid harm from Aero, she shot bullets towards him and the rest of the group, Anton cast aero again, this time on the bullets that were directed towards him, and aimed them to the ground , in order to avoid hurting the other participants.

This test reminds me why I prefer to fight alone...I always have to worry about accidentally harming the others.

Luckily for him, Zion teleported to the far end of the room, which allowed the blue mage to cast spells with a big area without having to worry about hurting the others.

The blue mage also noticed that Millicent was asleep due to a spell that was cast by Zion, but he had hoped that one of the other students would wake her up.

He cast the blue magic flamethrower, a fire-elemental spell with a rather large area of effect, towards Zion, hoping it would damage her.

Kelon decided to enter the fight, but he was going to use a different fighting style, and keep his true weapon and fighting style a secret to keep his cover, for now. He pulled a spear, which was silver in colored, with the spearhead made out of the toughest steel there was, and shaped after a Dragon's fang, out of his backpack, and held it high, and used it to slash away the bullets heading towards him, by embedding the spear with Fire Magic and waving it around. He ran towards Zion, and jumped over her, and embedded Thunder Magic into his spear, which began to crackle like a lightning bolt, and he jumped at Zion from behind, and delivered a swift downward strike with Thunder Magic within the slash. He wasn't planning on wasting time, as his task on observing was important. "You're good, angel, I get that, but I think it's time for you to meet your match." Said Kelon, talking to Zion.

Finally, some form of sense. With the wave of fire coming at her and Kelon getting behind her, finally someone was thinking. For her time slowed, the spear drawing closer, the flames raging. She took a single breath before executing what could be considered an aerial butterfly kick; as she twisted, she threw one gun at Anton; as it went, it would fire at him every time it was pointing at him, and suddenly fold out to blade mode in a specialized Strike Raid Zion dubbed "Gunblade Raid." But that wasn't all she did. As her body barely got over the spear she used her other gunblade to hit the spear down and propel herself up and away, flaring wings to gain altitude. She winced. The fire had gotten her left arm, the spear had grazed her back and the long cut from shoulder to hip was blackened and charred from the electricity. She held her red Gunblade tightly, chest heaving. It hurt pretty bad, but it kept her alert as she kept moving, eyes on Anton, Kelon, and Sara. Mobility down, she was tempted to heal...but no, she needed to wait.

Team 1

"Hey fellas!" Solisa called out. She was waving from the distance she was at from where her group was and where the shining door was. She was closer to the door. "If ya'll keep standin' there, how else are we gonna pass?" She said, turning around and running to the door.

Team 2

Darn it...

Sara thought while getting up from the ground. That kick really dealt some damage to her. She rubbed her back in order to relieve it from the pain she endured. While Kelon and Anton were keeping Zion busy, Sara walked towards the sleeping White Mage and sighed. We need to do better.

Sara held both of her hands together in front of her chest and closed her eyes. "Esuna." She whispered. White light surrounded her and Millicent. Once the light faded away, the blonde-haired girl kneeled down and tapped her cheek. "Wake up. We need somebody to heal us." She said.

Aaron said he was fine, but it was obvious that he was lying.  Laz grimaced and let out a silent sigh.  Am I really that untrustworthy?  Well, I am a thief, but still.  Just when she was beginning to think that maybe everyone here did truly hate her, and that she was right all along, Aaron asked, "Are you hurt?"

Knowing that it was directed at her, Laz cleared her throat and answered confidently, "Nah, I'm good!"  Actually, my stomach still hurts from that kick that imp bastard gave me.  It'll probably buise up too.  Great...

"Hey fellas!  If ya'll keep standin' there, how else are we gonna pass?" Solisa shouted at them, a bit impatient that everyone else was just standing around.  Seeing that the black mage was standing in front of a large, beautiful glowing door, Laz smirked.  Running up to her, the bluenette gave a push on the door.  "Locked.  Just as I thought," the thief chuckled, "But don't worry; I'll have it opened in a sec!"  Pulling out a pin from her hair, she spent a few seconds fiddling with the lock before it gave way and the door opened just an inch.  "Heh, too easy!  Well, do ya want me to go in first, or you wanna do the honors?"

Aaron trusted Laz to be alright.
Solisa shouted from the end of the room to him, and the group, calling them to the door. Laz rushed past to pick the lock on it.

Giving a slight nod to Elsa and Grace, Aaron approached Solisa and Laz, a darkening look draped across his face. But confidence built in him. He'd had a feeling about something going on behind the door, the combat test finally coming to an end. And he'd come back home, to his family after a long, lonely two weeks away in Aquilla.

Millicent's eyelids slowly lifted, taking in her surroundings. What happened? We were fighting, and then... She struggled to recount what led to her being passed out on the floor... Then the memories came back. She tried to rally her team, and then Zion flew over to her. Then... Millicent's face flushed bright red once she remembered what happened next. She forced her mind off that topic, realizing that Zion must have used that to cast a Sleep spell... So she'd ended up being the victim to magic, and she'd lost to it embarrassingly easy. Of course, this wasn't the time to reflect on that. That could come after the test. For now, she had to keep her teammates in the battle, and it looked like they'd already sustained some damage. She jumped up to her feet, trying to angle her face so Sara wouldn't see that she was blushing, though it was a bad attempt at doing so. "Thanks, Sara." She muttered as she cleared her mind. Once she had focused on the battle once again, she cast a Cure spell on her teammates, hoping to heal any damage they had sustained from what seemed to be a rather recent barrage of attacks. "I'm not out yet!" She let the others know that she was back up.

- Alexander Chanteh - The true combat test -

As Aaron, Solisa,Lazuli,Elsa and Grace walked into the room, they would notice one thing. It was dark as hell, but for a short time, as neon lights began lighting up, lighting up a good part of the room, but not it in its entirely, some areas were still pretty dark, a good way for Alexander to stealth through them if possible, That man, Ms.Genka? He came out nowhere and hired him for a "test", or rather for him to test others, with strict orders not to kill or fataly wound anyone...easy enough, the kicker was that he could customise the room as he saw fit...and Alexander took advantage of that.

THe whole room was comprised of pillars, with long hallways between any two pillars, some areas dark, some pretty well lit up. But where they came in from the door they could see one figure standing in the middle of the room. As it was a straight line, in the middle of the room it was more of a large square area, as Alexander was sitting there, meditating, waiting for them.

His suit's light turned off for now. "Welcome..." Alexander spoke with the students. As his suit's light lit up, showing his ninja armor splendor, his suit's lights matching the ones from the neon lights in the room. As Alexander slowly began standing up, and unsheating his sword, as it crackled with electricity.

Edited by Scrapmaster

Blinding lights greeted the crew right away, a splendor of a neon showcase when they walked into the door. An armored man stood from his meditation, his booming "Welcome" echoing throughout the ominous room. Electricity crackled through his sword.

Velox! Aaron's eyes and hand flashed green, standing face to face with the man.

"So.... What're you doing here?" Aaron's voice echoed through the pillars of the room. The Crimson gem along his brace sparkled, then burst, reforming into Aaron's hand as the Blazefire Saber.

Aaron felt around in The Pouch.... Only four Potions left, along with his Tent. It became clear already - this room was set up in a much more refined fashion than the previous two. It spoke of power. The man's aura boasted his power off the bat. Aaron's spine chilled and shook — he felt a sense of displacement and fear eminating from the man. He didn't want to be caught off guard at any moment from this guy. And his team... This combat test showed that it wasn't playing around when it came to hurting its participants. He needed to make sure they were alright as well. Four Potions...

The other two rooms seemed nothing compared to the feeling he got from here... This was the real test.

The blue mage was relived when Kelon decided to join the battle. So he finally joined. Did he wait for an opportunity like this?

Anton tried to dodge Zion's counter-attack, and while he managed to dodge the hit from the blade, some of the bullets managed to hit his left arm, which he used to protect his body from the bullets. Thanks to the protect spell cast by Millicent, his arm was only bleeding.

Luckily for him, shortly afterwards Sara woke Millicent up, who cast cure on him and the rest of the team, healing his wounds.

Anton cast aero on Zion, hoping that even if it will hit Kelon as well, it won't effect him as much as it effects Zion, which could give him an advantage.

Grace looks at the man as she gets her spear ready and asked him. "Who are you? Are you part of the exam?" She believes this part of the test isn't going to be easy. She griped her spear while in her battle state.

When Elsa saw the strange figure, she jumped a little from the bright light that had emitted from him. When she regained her composure, she glared at the man. Who is this?, she thought. Deciding not to take any chances, she got into her stance and summoning her Gaster Blasters, who were ready to shoot their lasers at the being at any moment.

- Alexander Chanteh - The real combat test -

Alexander stood there, motionless, unphased by the ones who stood before him, with a serious expression hidden below his helmet he stood there for a few more seconds, before speaking up. Excess heat being let out by his suit, looking at grace for a second. "You tell me..." Alexander mockingly spoke as he took the moment of non-violence to analyze the situation.

Elsa...that girl had some sort of skeletal beings...he already had a plan. Preparing a flashbomb for ignition. Priming it, he quickly threw it forward at Aaron, this wasn't any sort of threat, it was a flashbang grenade, made to disorient them. The Bomb blew up emmiting a large flash of light, by the time they could shrug it off, Alexander was gone...his Aura...unreadable, his suit lights turned off for stealth...

The room stood silent for a few seconds, no noise, no aura to be felt, nothing. It was almost as if Alexander had vanished with that flashbang...

If only...Alexander walked on top of a pillar near Elsa, as he boot up his suit lights before engaging. He lunged straight at...one of her Gaster blasters, slashing one in half as the other began to fire a laser, to which Alexander promptly dodged with a jump to the side and a dash towards it, slamming against it, he placed his leg against it as he used it as a boost to lunge with at Grace, with a charged sword slash. At high speeds from the boost, and the disorientation of the blasters, he was not gonna play dumb against these people.

The flash grenade caught Aaron off guard, a smart choice for a stealthy aggression towards the group. Of course, he was powerful - the resources he had at his disposal here seemed to have been tweaked to exactly fit him. The neon lights and dark atmosphere, for one, helped him swiftly cut down one of Elsa's Gaster's.

"Tsk.... Damn" Aaron murmured. A quick glance saw the man targeting Grace; luckily for Aaron, the speed of his Velox gift allowed him to rocket towards the man, with Masamune in hand.

The clash of Aaron's sword and the charged sword of the armored man created such a shockwave that blew back Aaron with extreme force. He was able to land on his feet, albeit weakly, and nearly crumbled to the ground.

His speed... It's on par with mine! Aaron noted, I don't have eyes in the back of my head though.... Any attack from nowhere can catch us off guard. I was lucky enough to catch that one...

Aaron stood up, flabbergasted by the sheer power of the man. He had doubts about holding off the next attack; what if he couldn't see it?! He needed to formulate a plan....

Edited by Clouded Sun

"Whoa!" Elsa exclaimed as she felt the bright light of the grenade surprise her. Then when the smoke cleared, the man was gone. Huh? Where'd he go?!, she thought, looking around until she saw that he was supposedly lunging for her from atop a pillar. Before she could do anything, though, he had sliced through one of her Gaster Blasters and just as soon as Elsa was about to tell one of them to shoot at him, he jumped off another one and tried to lunge at Grace.

"Hey! Leave Grace alone!" Elsa shouted, commanding her little hoard of creatures to attack Alexander. Then suddenly, she saw Gaster hiding in the shadows, which made her feel very anxious as she and him locked eyes with each other. D-Damn it... He keeps appearing at all the wrong times..., Elsa thought, almost forgetting what she was doing.

Grace was shocked when Alexander sliced one of Elsa's Gaster Blasters in half. As she about to stop him, she saw some mysterious newcomer hiding in shadows. (who... is he?...) she got off guard as she saw Alexander approach her and about to attack her, but thankfully, Aaron came to save her in full speed. However, a shockwave pushed Grace and Aaron in powerful force. She gets up shaky and rushed towards Aaron and helped him back. "Thanks, Aaron.. are you ok?" She asked.

No, no, no! Go away, Gaster! Can't you see that you've done enough to me?, Elsa thought, shaking in fear as the memory of their first meeting made her sick to her stomach. She felt his shadow come over her, but before she could turn around and give him a what for, he had disappeared again. "W-Why... Why does he have to haunt me...?" Elsa said quietly, crying a little.

- Alexander - Ninja cyborg - Combat Test -

Alexander was not knocked back, or thrown off guard by Aaron's block, but he was impressed by the man's speed and reflexes, "Not bad prediction and reflexes, i'l give you that." Alexander complimented the man under his breath, but loud enough so they could hear, his voice modulator in his suit changing his voice's tone to mask his real one. Standing there as Grace went to check on him Alexander looked back at Elsa to see the gasters firing more.

Quickly Alexander rolled to the side, quickly using the momentum to jump at a nearby pillar and boost off of it to dodge even more lasers coming his way, landing on top of another pillar as his shoulder pads began lightning up. Noticing Elsa was distracted and Grace and Aaron were too. "Let your guard down in a fight out there and you're dead..." Alexander spoke as he shot 10 explosive proton needles, coming off his shoulder as they homed in on the party. 5 at Aaron and Grace, the other 5 going straight at Elsa and her Gaster blasters.

Wheter it hit or not, did not matter, because by the time they could dodge or block, Alexander had already dashed off to hide. In one of the darkened areas of the room. And with that, he was gone...waiting for the next opportunity to attack.

(i'l just leave this post here for when we come back to the RP eh? xD)

Deciding to enter the room together, everyone walked through the large opened door at once.  Once everyone went through though, the door slammed shut leaving them in complete darkness.  Damn, can't see again, Laz mentally cursed, Stupid lost eye!  But it didn't remain dark for long as bright, neon green lights enveloped half the room, though leaving the other half in darkness.  The ancient looking room was massive with large open areas and tall white pillars holding the ceiling up, though some were broken.  And standing in the center was a man covered in armor.

"Welcome," he said with a deep robotic voice as his armor lit up, looking just like the neon lights around them.  Oh great, a Technos... he's probably just as boring and emotionally brain-dead as the rest of them, the thief thought, but smiled a little, Well, except for Aaron; he's fine.  Speaking of which, said boy's eyes glowed an eerie green as he summoned his sword and asked, "So, what are you doing here?"  Oh, does Aaron know this guy?  It sounds like he does.

"Are you part of the exam?" Grace also questioned as she pulled out her spear.  Elsa and Solisa got their own spells ready too.  I guess I better be prepared too, Laz thought as she pulled out her twin daggers.

"You tell me," the man mocked, completely at ease with them pointing their weapons at him.  Hmph, arrogant bastard.  Can't wait to kick his pompous ass!  The Anthros was about to charge at him until she saw the flash bomb in his hand.  Oh crap!  When he threw it, she closed her eye and once it went off, Laz opened it and ran to hide in the shadows.  Heh, I see what ya doin'.  Ooh, this is gonna be fun~

Laz did feel a bit bad for the others as they were wide open to the man, while she hid and did not help.  Sorry guys, but you should know better.  When the flash faded, the thief saw the man right next to Elsa and her two summons.  He immediately sliced one in half as the other one attacked, though the man easily dodged it and slammed it against the ground.

Using it as a trampoline, the man jumped up and lunged at a defenseless Grace, his electric sword radiating with power.  Oh man, he's way too fast!  Grace is screwed!  But before his attack could land, Aaron came from nowhere and blocked the attack with his own sword.  Laz could feel the massive shockwave that came off from the block as it knocked her teammates back.  Wow, Aaron really is fast on his feet, and really strong... feeling another blush appearing, the bluenette shook her head, No, focus Lazuli!  Now's not the time for that!

"Not bad prediction and reflexes, I'll give you that," the man complimented Aaron, completely unfazed from the block.  As the man talked, Elsa summoned more of her creatures to attack him, but she seemed really anxious, like she just saw a ghost.  Hm, I wonder what her deal is?  As for the man, he just dodged their attacks with ease and landed on top of a broken pillar.  Since her teammates were too distracted, the man scoffed at them.  "Let your guard down in a fight out there and you're dead..."  With that, he summoned ten large needles, and they zoomed in on the three.

Knowing that there was nothing she could do to stop them, Laz just flinched and cursed.  Damn bastard, you're gonna pay!  Seeing him dash off to the opposite side's shadows, the thief grinned.  Perfect, now's my chance!  Whispering "Haste" to herself, a red ring appeared around her waist as the spell took affect.  Once the ring disappeared and feeling the spell's power, Laz made her way to meet the mystery man, keeping herself in the shadows the whole time and making no noise at all.

Now standing a few feet away from him, she smirked as she saw that he had yet to notice her.  Instead, his focus was still on her comrades.  Awesome!  But before I attack...  Getting down, Laz crawled to his unnoticed side and took most of his bombs.  As she was about to steal the last one, he fidgeted and turned his head around.  As he looked down at her, she gave him a massive Cheshire grin.  "Hoi!" she exclaimed and slashed at the back of his unguarded knees before doing a roundhouse kick.

Knocking him down, the Anthros giggled a little, and wanted to fight more, but saw that he wasn't harmed very much from her attack.  So she decided it was best to retreat back to her hiding spot.  "Boi!" Laz mocked and ran back to her spot.  Once she made it back, she sighed silently and sat down.  Damn, I was hoping that would've hurt him more, but he was just stunned.  Oh well, I'll just hafta do more sneak attacks and whittle him down little by little.  Then, I can go in for the kill!

Grinning again, the thief tossed the bombs in her hand around.  Good thing I took his bombs away!  Maybe next time I can get that sword of his, and that shoulder thing!  She stopped juggling the bombs and eyed them closely.  Ya know, its been a long time since I had any bombs.  Everyone back home won't let me have any after that last time...  Tilting her her head back to look at the pillar she was sitting against, Laz beamed, an idea forming.  Well, I've never been good at learning from the past!

Elsa saw the needles coming for her and immediately dodged out of the way along with her Gaster Blasters, though one of the needles almost cut through her skin. "OW!" She screamed out, gripping her arm as she felt it bleed. Soon enough, the Gaster Blasters shielded her from the blast of the proton needles, not getting hurt at all. Bastard... Why is he doing this?, Elsa thought, falling to her knees. Her friends soon became very angry and spread out to search for the man who tried to harm their master.

Aaron leapt into the air, attempting to dodge the homing needles that the armored man shot. He's almost been in the clear, if not for one which grazed his ankle

The nick at first wasn't a problem, the small bloody scar trickled down to his foot but barely hurt,.. Until the needle caused a mini explosion, knocking Aaron out of the sky and barreling into a pillar.

"Shit..." Aaron's injury hindered his mobility, he'd been able to barely stand. He'd begun to take a Potion... But he heard Elsa screech in pain. Damn.... Only four...?! Aaron condemned himself for being so careless. Trying his best to shake off the pain, he sprinted to Elsa's aid, hoping to reach her in time to heal her before the man struck again.

Edited by Clouded Sun

A few of her Gaster Blasters stayed behind to watch over her until they saw Aaron come their way. They almost growled at him when Elsa said weakly, "Stand down, friends. He's good..." The creatures reluctantly moved out of the way for him.

Both Teams

Before anyone could make another move, Ms. Genka's voice could be heard from speakers seeming from the ceilings.

Attention students and testers. The exam is now completed. Please wait until you are healed and transported out of the rooms.

"Already? Aw man!" Solisa crossed her arms in slight disappointment. "I barely got a move in with everythin' that happened." She said.

Sara took a deep sigh, almost relieved that the tests were over. Nobody got killed...Thank goodness. She thought.

Soon, everyone was covered in green light being completely healed of any scars or injuries. Then after that, everyone was covered yellow light and disappeared.

All the students and testers that were in the dome reappeared outside. The silver dome was behind them now.

It's over already? That's a relief..., Elsa thought. Then she felt herself get covered in a green light and felt immediately better. Before she could say anything, she got covered in a yellow light and was outside. "Thank god... I thought I was going to die of blood loss back there." She said to herself, then she called back her Gaster Blasters and made sure they stayed close to her.

"I'm almost there!" Aaron called. But it seemed that as he ran, Elsa slipped further and further, and a green light flashed before his eyes. Suddenly, everything vanished.

------

Aaron rose his head, dumbfounded as he laid on the concrete ground. Blinking once, twice, then a third time, he lifted himself up from the ground.

He fixed the front of his hair and tightened the hood. A sigh of relief chilled his bones, but he shook in anger. Frustrated at himself for, the third time not being able to fight well in the exams. Everyone back at home would look at him with contempt. His cousins and little sister would be so disappointed. The words "house cat" rung in his mind. He hurled Masamune to the ground, and as his sword clanged to the ground, it broke into thousands of pieces, reforming as a gem on his bracelet.

Aaron sighed again, mentally exhausted. If I'm gonna fail... I'd might as well have a little bit of R&R. Maybe I'll stay in Aquilla until the next exam. Aaron reached into the Pouch again. He pulled out his phone, a large, handheld device fitted with a small skull decal on the back in a sleek, blue base. He swiped the screen and scrolled through his list of numbers. I'll wait till the official showings, then I might as well call Dad.
