Today marks another day down on Kingdom Hearts III's countdown! Each day until January 25, director Tetsuya Nomura is making an announcement. Today, he reminded everyone that the two-minute Kingdom Hearts III commercial will be uploaded after it airs during the AFC Asian Cup tonight on TV Asahi (the program starts at 10.:20PM and ends at 12:30 AM JST on January 18). The media he shared featured Lea and Kairi, where he's accepted the name Axel even as a somebody.

Starting January 16th to January 20th, Square Enix will be hosting a Kingdom Hearts sweepstakes in which you could win a trip to a Disney-inspired destination of your choice! More information regarding the sweepstakes will be on the official Kingdom Hearts website. To enter the sweepstakes, comment #♥♥♥ on the video that was posted on the official Kingdom Hearts twitter. The background music of the sweepstakes videos seems to be a new adaption of Working Together from Kingdom Hearts II. 
 
 
  EDIT [17/01/2019]: The official rules for the sweepstake on the Kingdom Hearts website lists what destinations can be chosen if won. The five prizes are; Sweden - 4 nights plus airfare, travel to the hotel and activities, Tokyo - 5 nights plus airfare and activities, Italy - 3 nights plus airfare, activities and a check for $1,500 USD, Cayman Islands - 6 nights plus airfare, activities and a check for $1,500 USD, Greece - 4 nights plus airfare, activities and a check for $600 USD.   As well as this, the Kingdom Hearts Twitter tweeted out two new tweets for the sweepstake, which you can find below:  
Announced by the Japanese Playstation Blog, Kingdom Hearts III will be receiving a pop up experience in Akihabara, Japan. It will take place outside Yodobashi Camera on Saturday January 19th and Sunday January 20th from 12pm until 7pm on both days. Attendee's will get the chance to play the Kingdom Hearts III demo just before the games release on January 25th. This will be the same demo build as the demo available at Tokyo Game Show 2018 (currently no ticket is needed to play but depending on congestion, this could change). As well as the demo, fans will receive a Kingdom Hearts III postcard. Be warned, these are available on a first come, first served basis, so you'd better be quick! See postcard below:

This experience will return twice more after the games Japanese release; Saturday January 26th - Sunday January 27th and Saturday February 2nd. Once again, these will take place from 12pm until 7pm. All times are JST.

Gamestop Germany revealed they teamed up with Square Enix and are touring around the country to allow fans to try Kingdom Hearts III. A raffle has also been announced, letting fans try out and give them a chance to win either a PS4 Pro or an Xbox One!

During the Kingdom Hearts III countdown, today's media shows Riku saying a cryptic message about the lost hearts of others. It also shows him fighting the Riku replica. Who would he be referring to in this new quote, and is Riku replica a hint?
 
 
Today marks another day down on Kingdom Hearts III's countdown! Each day until January 25, director Tetsuya Nomura is making an announcement. Today he announced that during the soccer AFC Asian Cup 2019 "Japan x Uzbekistan TV Asahi 60th Anniversary" commemorative broadcast on January 17, around 22:20 - 00:30 JST, a new two-minute long commercial for the game will air. It will also be posted on YouTube after the airing.

Weekly Famitsu's next issue, releasing on January 17 (JST), states they plan to publish a 30-page Kingdom Hearts III special feature! According to the preview by the blog Hokanko-Alt, Famitsu will publish its review for the game after the February 7 issue of the magazine.

For the 10th day of the Kingdom Hearts III countdown, the most recent image shows Master Xehanort sharing a grim quote. It seems he's talking about the events of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ[Chi] and Union χ[Cross] - which is fitting for the use of the Roman numeral 'X'.

Disney announced that their Disney Ambassador Hotel in Japan will be promoting Kingdom Hearts III with a themed room based off the series for a limited time from March 26 to June 30!
Fans will be receiving a Kingdom Hearts special room key based off the Kingdom Key Keyblade, with a themed box upon check-in and are able to take it home with them after staying. The rooms will be 41 square meters large, with a choice between two regular beds and a trundle bed. Each room comes with two sets of original postcards with double-sided designs, making it a total of 4 cards. The price is ¥46,100 (approx. $427) a night and reservations start January 30.
A special menu will also become available closer to the reservation date.

UPDATE [Jan 24, 2019]: The special menu for the hotel room has been revealed, showing off several Kingdom Hearts themed food items for sale from March 26 to June 13 in the hotel lobby lounge and deli cafe. Anyone visiting the hotel can order from the menu, not just guests so they encourage it! The special food items will be listed below.
Kingdom Hearts Special Cake - ¥2,000
A cake with Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance visuals on top as it's motif. Has a chocolate mousses surrounded by sea salt jello. Kingdom Hearts Special Drink - ¥1,300
Hot milk tea mixed with white chocolate and raspberry syrup. It's topped with a crown design made of cocoa powder and comes with a heart shaped strawberry and original design coaster. Kingdom Hearts Special Parfait - ¥1,000
A parfait with nata de coco and aloe pulp are mixed together with flavored yogurt. It has an iced bar coated with sea salt syrup designed to look like a sea salt ice cream pop.
