  1. Could say the same for many, many SE titles.
  2. Nah, it hasn't. It's a social game so it would be hard to localize. Maybe one day.
  3. It's the majority of their new releases in 2014/15. Lol. Explorers got repetitive I hear, Just Cause 3 was down to its performance & story. Drakengard 3, well most things. The story & graphics in particular.
  4. Actually it's not very rare. In the last two years alone: Explorers got 70. Thief got 67 & 69 while Just Cause 3 got 71, 73 and 74. Drakengard 3 got 61.
  5. Well Square Enix don't work like that and thank god because hardly any of their games would have been "critically successful". Sticking to this '85' is stupid. 8's are great scores. I think a 7 is good.
  6. Well this is for a Japanese game that is only available in Japanese for these versions. But even then, XIII-2 got a lot of 8's in the west which are still great scores that nearly all games would happily take.
  7. Square Enix said it was, and what they say matters most, a lot more than a few websites that close down. That's not true at all. Look at the Japanese reviews for the sequels. Famitsu - 40/40 & 37/40 Dengeki - again, 100/100 And the western reviews for XIII-2 were a lot of 8's from the major ones which is a great score.
  8. And so am I. I think this is pretty darn good 1UP.com A− CVG 9.2/10 Eurogamer 8/10 Famitsu 39/40 Game Informer 9.25/10 GameSpot 8.5/10 GameSpy 4.5/5 IGN 8.9/10 OPM (UK) 9/10 Dengeki 100/100 Is plenty of acclaim.
  9. Square Enix would and does and that's all that matters. Your hate means nothing. And just look at the Japanese review scores. XIII-2 one of ONLY 23 games to ever get a perfect score.
  10. They can announce one whenever they want. Keep telling Square Enix we want it on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc.
  11. Notice how there's ZERO other directors credited, just those 3. Lol. Same situation for the main programmers if you look down. Under your logic there's no director or main programmer. Lol. Also Guess Ito didn't direct XII then. Lol. Keep hating, you love a game directed by Toriyama.
  12. Think that might have something to do with gay couples being more private for obvious reasons but if I made a graph like that I would have included all.
  13. LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII, the third and final part of the acclaimed and hugely successful FINAL FANTASY XIII trilogy is now available on iOS & Android devices in Japan via cloud streaming. Like with FINAL FANTASY XIII and FINAL FANTASY XIII-2, Square Enix has gotten Broadmedia Corporation to release the game on iOS & Android. iOS Android You can now enjoy all 3 titles on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC, iOS & Android. We’re still hoping for a collection on PlayStation 4 & Xbox One though, so keep telling Square Enix we want it!
  14. LOL. Nope. He has Yasue handling it day-to-day. Nomura's the creative visionary. And of course it's like this. Go look at the director of Dragon Quest X, he looks really unwell. Toriyama had to take a long holiday after the XIII series was finished. And Tabata's fine, I wouldn't worry. He's also producing Type-0 Online and has his new IP in development.
  15. LOL. Ever read the credits? And if you ask Nojima, there was four writers: Nojima, Watanabe, Toriyama & Kitase.
  16. Motomu Toriyama trained writers for some of your favourite Square Enix games but you never knew! http://kh13.com/forum/topic/94775-the-games-you-never-knew-motomu-toriyama-trained-writers-for/
  17. After Kazushige Nojima left Square Enix there was shortage of writers at the company and there was new platforms to develop for. Because of this, Motomu Toriyama decided to assemble and train a team of six scenario writers. Thanks to his GDC 2010 presentation where he discussed this, I have discovered who four of the six are. I've listed the four below and some of their credits. Takanari Ishiyama Worked with Toriyama on FINAL FANTASY XII: REVENANT WINGS & BLOOD of BAHAMUT. Has gone to direct & write Square Enix's hugely successful mobile game, School Girl Strikers. A game Toriyama quite enjoys. Sachie Hirano Worked with Toriyama on The World Ends with You, DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY, FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: My Life as a Darklord, FINAL FANTASY XIII and LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII. Also worked on CRISIS CORE -FINAL FANTASY VII-, FINAL FANTASY XIV & FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. Nanako Saitoh Worked with Toriyama on FINAL FANTASY XII: REVENANT WINGS, FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: My Life as a King, Fortune Street, DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY and FINAL FANTASY XIII-2. Also worked on DISSIDIA 012 FINAL FANTASY. Harunori Sakemi Worked with Toriyama on DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY, KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days and FINAL FANTASY XIII. Also worked on KINGDOM HEARTS II, KINGDOM HEARTS Re:Chain of Memories, KINGDOM HEARTS coded/Re:coded, DISSIDIA 012 FINAL FANTASY and KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 ReMIX.
  18. This photo was taken in 2001 for the Final Fantasy X Ultimania. It features Yoshinori Kitase, Motomu Toriyama, Daisuke Watanabe and Kazushige Nojima.
  19. With the long wait for its English & French releases and lack of marketing it was expected there wouldn't be a ton of copies for Final Fantasy Explorers on Nintendo 3DS. However, the number appears to have been even smaller than expected. In Australia, it was sold out in mere days and a couple of weeks later it doesn't look like any more stock is coming. JB Hi-Fi, Australia's most popular retailer of consumer electronics removed their page for the game and it doesn't look like it'll return. EB Games has had no stock online since launch and when you ask them about it they have no information on the subject. The lowest price for a copy of the game in Australia or the UK on eBay is $80 Australia. $80. That's higher than the RRP. Stock on UK/European websites does not appear to be that great now either. I have contacted Square Enix Europe's Japan Studios Community Manager and Australia's distributor of Square Enix products to see if any more stock is on the way but it appears unlikely.
  20. Facebook, one of their employees posted it and Mark Zuckerberg liked it.
  21. They already did a spin-off, it performed poorly.
