~Laguna and Squall, northeast of Lifespring Grotto~Laguna picked up his machine gun, slung it over his shoulder and motioned to the east, "I say we head for Pravoka. Sooner we get there, sooner we can rest and decide what we do next."Squall nodded, "Fine. Let's go."~Chaos and Xemnas, Edge of Madness~"Go with Xemnas. Scout for him," Chaos commanded Xigbar. "Do what you do best and keep your eye open."Xemnas looked to Xigbar as he prepared to open a dark corridor, "Where do you suggest we start, old friend?"~Vanitas, Xehanort and Garland, Kefka's Tower~Vanitas saw the Thunder begin to surround him, as well as the strange Fire spell."If that's how you want to play it..."Vanitas dropped to the lower levels as the fireball came close, letting go of the girl, hoping that the fireball missed him and hit the girl.Xehanort was tossed back by the attack from the Warrior, staggering afterwards and clutching his chest."I'd show you, whelp, if I were not so grossly outmatched and exhausted," Xehanort said, as his attention turned to his Guardian.The Guardian had now been overwhelmed by Garland, who had just taken his second wind."Ha! You are giving up already?" Garland said, as the Guardian flew to Xehanort's side."No, father," Xehanort said, taking a small bow as a dark portal opened behind him. "I'm merely leaving to fight another day and bide my time until I act again." His attention then turned to the apprentice, "Vanitas! We've done enough here."Vanitas ran back up the wall and to the portal, "Gotcha."Xehanort then turned to Kefka as he backed into the now closing portal, "Frankly sir, your use of that puppet disgusts me. A Cosmos warrior used for Chaos..."With that, they were gone.Garland scoffed as he dismissed his sword, "Those two are now enemies to Chaos. They no longer belong to us."~Sora and Lightning, Sanctuary~Sora was taken aback by the girl's sudden approach and her comments, "Whoa! I'm not sure all that's necessary!"This much was true. While the accomplishment was true, Sora had yet to learn to humble himself after failing his Mark of Mastery.Sora looked over and saw a girl who looked like..."Kairi?"Sora was quickly tackled by an all too familiar dog, "Pluto! Where have you been? How'd you get here?"Lightning scoffed at what had just happened, "Of course. We've got another legendary hero here."Sora got up after getting Pluto off him, "Well, I mean, it is true."Lightning laughed, "Name's Lightning, kid."Sora then turned to the others, "And who are you guys?"

~Laguna and Squall, northwest of Lifespring Grotto~The two mercenaries looked at each other. Both probably knew what village Elsa was talking about, and that story had not ended well."Well, there's only one village in the close vicinity," Laguna said uneasily, looking down while he rubbed his neck with his free hand, bouncing Lisa a bit."But your friend must have had some wrong information," Squall cut in, his voice as stern as usual. "The nearest village was Melmond. But the town is gone now. It's nothing but swamp now."Laguna tried to think fast, "What about that witch's cave? Or that port town?"Squall glanced over, unamused at Laguna's attempt to stop the dreary atmosphere, "Pravoka is nearly a two hour from here. We don't seem to have a whole lot of daylight. And I'm not sure I completely trust that Matoya either."~Cosmos, Corrin, Lightning and Sora, Sanctuary~"Ganondorf..." Cosmos mulled over the name. "That name does not sound familiar to me.""I..." Corrin began to say, struggling to think of the man through his memories. "I seem to remember a man by that name. A dark king, bent on taking over a kingdom..."This was quickly interrupted by Genesis and Lightning's arrival.Lightning's feet splashed the water as she tried to stop her forward momentum."Well, that's one way to get around," Lightning said as she stopped and turned to Genesis. "Thanks for bringing me here. I mean it. Are you going to go back to Johnny and his merry band?"Meanwhile, Sora had started to make his way north after being left behind when the other warriors had left for Lufenia to chase after Elsa's kid.Sora had noticed the man in the red coat fly back overhead, carrying someone new. A pink-haired lady.Sora ran back to Sanctuary, following the duo."Hey!" Sora called out to Genesis. "You left me behind!" Sora then noticed the others by Cosmos, none of whom he recognized. He decided to introduce himself, "Oh, hi! My name's Sora!"~Vanitas, Garland and Xehanort, Kefka's Tower~The smoke from the explosion had barely cleared when Vanitas again was struck, this time by a strange magical attack that cast Vanitas downward.At least now he was free from the tornado.Vanitas scowled and shouted at the clown, "You and your damned puppet!" He disappeared into the floor and then reappeared behind the girl, holding his Keyblade in front of her. "Go ahead, try to hit me now."Garland still struggled with the Guardian, but laughed at Vanitas' comment. He then shouted to Xehanort, "How ironic that your puppet complains of someone else's!"Xehanort turned and shouted to Garland, "You stay out of it!" That turn was more than enough to make the Warrior's wave of light strike Xehanort, sending him upwards.Xehanort fell to the ground and looked to the Warrior, "Your precious light...will be consumed!" He began firing a volley of dark blasts at the Warrior, sending them all around him.~Chaos and Xemnas, Edge of Madness~Chaos looked down to Xigbar, "Enough talk of traitors. I choose ones who are powerful. They fall and I can correct them. This much I knew of the war going in."Xemnas appeared at the top of the steps, "Chaos, I was unable to stop the warriors at Elfheim."Chaos looked over to Xemnas, "Indeed, but unlike Caius and Mateus, that failure was not your own. A being like the Genie does not make this war an even playing field."Xemnas looked up to meet Chaos' eyes, "Then what do you ask of me, my..." Xemnas shuddered at the thought, "...lord?"Chaos gave a crooked smile, "Cosmos' warriors and the traitors have gathered at Lufenia, but one of my forces has been fighting them. I need you to go to Cosmos' domain and track down her other warriors."Xemnas nodded, "It shall be done." Xemnas then turned to Xigbar, "And what do you intend to do, Xigbar? I thought I knew you better than to stand by as battle raged on."(Will wait to post for Johnny and Elia)

(Aww man! I'll just write a post for Johnny and Elia then)~Johnny and Elia, the White Mage, Lufenia, mere seconds before Draksis' attack~Johnny had been able to hang on to the dragon for a bit. Excalibur had made its mark......then the dragon threw him off somehow.As Johnny began to plummet, he saw the effect Excalibur had on the dragon's scales.There was a dent now.Johnny smiled before he realized he was still falling.Elia saw Johnny's descent and quickly raised her staff, "Float!"Johnny stopped inches before the ground, but he quickly saw the armored man coming from Elia's side.Johnny made a mighty dash between Elia and the armored man, throwing his shield in front of the dark sword.Johnny's arm faltered for mere seconds, but his block held.Being able to hold the armored man in place, Johnny decided now would be a good time to try and delve into the man's mind."So, my dear armored assailant, mind telling me your name and a bit about yourself?" Johnny said, trying to distract the man from noticing him mentally looking through the man's mind for a memory to use against him. ~Garland, Vanitas, and Xehanort, Kefka's Tower~Garland collided with a wall, scoffing at Kefka as he got up, "Damned jester! Do not assume fault in me!" Garland then charged at the Guardian, who met his attack by blocking his massive sword with both hands.Vanitas, cast into the ceiling after the water spell tossed him up, barely managed to cut the Blizzard spell while caught in the tornado. Vanitas tried to focus on the girl. Taking her out would make this fight a lot easier for him."Try this," Vanitas said as he fired a beam of blue energy at the girl, hoping to strike her and incapacitate her."Come at me then," Xehanort taunted, meeting the Warrior's charge with a wall of Dark energy. "Your petty light means nothing to me. In the end, all hearts return to the darkness." Xehanort cracked a smile, "Even yours."

I haven't the slightest idea if he's not an OC) ~Corrin and Cosmos, Sanctuary~ "Hmm..." Corrin thought to himself. "If he's not the man from Lufenia, then he's no one I know. I hope Chaos didn't summon him." Cosmos nodded, "Indeed. Such a man does not sound like he would be a noble adversary." Corrin then addressed Xion's question about Serena, "Well, it seems to me like Serena seems to hold a powerful light. I don't know what anyone could do with it, but its power could be manipulated." Cosmos looked to Corrin and let out a small laugh, "You are very wise beyond your years, Corrin. Indeed, Serena does hold a great power. The forces of evil could easily use such power for twisted desires." Cosmos looked to the blonde maiden, "What else do you know of this man? What could he desire?" ~Lightning, Mirage Sandsea~ Lightning stopped cold in her tracks. This guy is good. Lightning turned to look at Genesis, "Honestly, I don't know. I'm just looking for a way to get back to the mainland. Maybe I could find some sort of teleport stone." Lightning then thought to the man's arrival. He could fly. Maybe he could help her. "You wouldn't by any chance be willing to give me a lift back to Cosmos' domain, would you?" Lightning said, walking back to Genesis. ~Laguna and Squall, northeast of Lifespring Grotto~ Laguna laughed at the little girl as he swept her up in his arms, "Hey, hey! You're a little cutie, aren't ya?" Squall thought a bit about what Elsa before addressing her, "It's not a problem. We've got to save and protect the people in this world. No one else will." Squall walked over to Laguna and motioned to him to have a quick conference. The two talked in quiet whispers, so that Elsa could not hear. Squall began, "She says that Xathnan did that to her." "Xathnan?" Laguna was surprised to hear that name. "The guy Cosmos told us was on our side?" Squall nodded, "Yeah. I'm not sure what's going on, but I'm not if we can completely trust her or this Xathnan guy." "Well, what do you propose we do?" Laguna asked, knowing Squall had some sort of idea what to do next. Mercs like him did have that tendency. Squall looked up and over to Elsa, asking her, "Where exactly are you planning on going? We'll go with you, but we just need to be sure."

Woot! Final Fantasy XII is one of my favorite Final Fantasies.Although, I'm not sure I'm a fan of the Zodiac Version's Job System.

(Point of reference: Excalibur is unbreakable, cannot be dulled, and requires insane temperatures to get to a molten state)~Johnny and Tay, Lufenia~Johnny had landed a bit uneasily, but so far, he was still in one piece.That was before the dragon tried shaking him. He'd have to think fast if he wanted to stay on.Johnny fired the cable on his left side into the dragon's hide, hoping that it would catch on something. With his right, he dug Excalibur into the dragon, trying his best to get it to stick.Then the scales began to emit the same dark aura that the armored fiend had let out. Good thing Johnny's armor had built in protection.The tiny fairy flew back up to Johnny, trying his best to hang on.Tay tried to shout at Johnny, "Our friend's ok, for the time being at least!"Johnny acknowledged her, "Good! Now get somewhere safe! Not sure how dragons are around tiny fairies!""Gotcha!" she cried out before darting into Johnny's pouch.~Elia, the White Mage, Lufenia~This was not going to end well.Her Dia spell had failed, and now the armored demon was running after Terra. Elia decided to follow and give chase.Elia keep trying to figure out some sort of way to stop the man, but she was already out of tricks.Until she came into the dark aura.Elia could feel her muscles begin to ache and grow heavy.She managed to lift her staff, "Dispel!" After, Elia followed by slamming her staff on the ground, "Faith!"She could feel her body's strength return and she continued after the armored demon, hammer held out. If anything, it could deal some damage to that armor.(Fire Emblem Awakening reference. Hammers deal extra damage to armored units)~Corrin and Cosmos, Sanctuary~"A man in dark armor..." Corrin pondered to himself. "Like the armored man I encountered in Lufenia?"Cosmos looked to Xion, "Many people, places and creatures of this world were created from the memories of the warriors who are summoned. Perhaps Serena here came from the memory of her friends."~Xehanort, Vanitas and Garland, Kefka's Tower at the Sage's Cave~The Guardian howled in pain at the Thunder attack. It decided it would be better off rejoined with its master. Disappearing into the floor, the Guardian reappeared behind Xehanort."So that's how it's going to be," Xehanort remarked. The Guardian was not one to trifle with, but the clown and maiden had agitated it enough to have it return to him.Vanitas fell back after the shield struck him in face. He called out behind him, "Master! He's too..."Xehanort sighed, "Fine. We switch targets."At that, Xehanort turned to the Warrior and the Guardian grabbed Garland.Garland tried to struggle against the Guardian, "What is this demon?"The Guardian threw Garland at the clown, and Vanitas teleported above the clown and came down with his Keyblade.Xehanort saw the Warrior's blade glow with light and remarked, "You will not find me as easy of an opponent as my apprentice."At that, Xehanort charged forward at the Warrior, his body covered with fire.~Lightning, Mirage Sandsea~"For the love of..." Lightning began to say, turning on her heels to confront the man who still hounded her. She got as up in his face as she could, "Are all of you warriors so goddamn dense? I wasn't summoned by Cosmos. I'm not supposed to be here. Somehow, someway, I got here and everyone I run into wants me to fight with them or fight for them." Lightning backed off the man and looked down, "Whatever. I'm done fighting for your precious goddess."

(Johnny's landed on the dragon, I'll wait until Scrap posts as Draksis before writing Johnny.)~Laguna and Squall, northeast of Lifespring Grotto~Laguna smiled. Things were going to be alright.Laguna turned to his comrade, still waiting a distance away, "Hey, Squall! Mind patching up our friend here?" Laguna turned back to the lady he sat next to, "Might as well make sure your knees don't get infected or anything."Squall got out some bandages and wraps and started to work covering the woman's wounded knees, "Anything you can tell me about who you were running from?"Laguna held out his arms to the child, "Hey there, would you like to see uncle Laguna for a bit? I don't bite, I promise."~Cosmos and Corrin, Sanctuary~The pain in Cosmos' chest began to wane and she stood up again, "Thank you. My spirit is once again at ease."Corrin smiled and stood up as well, "I guess we should be glad that we got here on time."Cosmos then turned to Serena, "You said you know two warriors of mine. Aqua and...Ventus?" Cosmos shook her head, "I do not know this Ventus. I did not summon him here."~Xehanort, Vanitas, and Garland, Kefka's Tower at the Sage's Cave~The Guardian was repelled by the Holy attack, but no real damage had been made. The Guardian refocused to the clown, realizing that the girl herself was not controlling her own actions. It opted for a new assault.It charged at the clown, throwing one of its fists at the man.Vanitas tried to deflect the light swords, but two managed to get past him and hit his sides. Vanitas collapsed forward, catching himself with his Keyblade.The boy growled before standing up again, "You shouldn't have done that." Vanitas swung his sword and a dark fireball came from it, splitting into three smaller fireballs as it flew towards the armored warrior.Xehanort continued to try and fight Garland, but the man's heavy weapon made it quite difficult. This was nothing like fighting his rival."Do you see now, Xehanort?" Garland taunted Xehanort as his sword's axe form broke another attempted defense by Xehanort. "The error of your ways? The futility of your actions?"Xehanort acting quickly while Garland tried to close the distance between the two. Throwing his Keyblade at Garland, Xehanort then followed up by running at Garland, jumping on his shoulders and then summoned his Keyblade and dropped in the air, driving the blade into the back of Garland's armor."You underestimate my power," Xehanort said, punctuating the attack by kicking the back of Garland's knee.Garland collapsed from the attack, but turned to his combatant, "As you do mine."

~Johnny, Lufenia~ Johnny reached out to link hands with Terra, "Throw me up towards the dragon's head. Not yet sure what I'm going to do, but I'll figure it out." ~Cosmos and Corrin, Sanctuary~ "I..." Cosmos began to say, turning away in shame. She could not look at her warriors now, now that she was in such pain. "I was projecting my spirit...not too far away. I...there was one...a mother, with her child. She...she attacked me. The blast..." Cosmos collapsed forward again, making a splash in the watery landscape. Corrin quickly ran up to the goddess, "Cosmos! What's happening?" Cosmos turned to look at the boy who now held her in his arms, "Thank you..." She looked back to the two girls, "The blast that she fired...it hurt my spirit to its core. I was pulled back to my body." She had a slight burst of pain in her chest, clutched her chest and continued, "She is becoming a threat to everyone around her. I fear for her child and for my warriors. She must be stopped." ~Lightning, Mirage Sandsea~ Lightning lowered her blade to the man in the red coat. "Reckless man with brown hair teaming up with a moogle?" Lightning scoffed. "Sounds like our fearless leader wants me back." Lightning began to walk away to the west, calling out the man she was leaving behind, "Tell Johnny I want no more part of this war. I'm done fighting." To herself, she thought, Maybe I can find something to get me past Johnny and back to the other island. No way can I turn back now that he's looking for me. ~Laguna and Squall, northeast of Lifespring Grotto~ The two warriors had left the battle of Lufenia shortly after the second group had appeared. They were no longer needed, so they looked for a place where they could be needed. "...and that's when my leg cramped and I had to turn around," Laguna continued his story, oblivious to Squall's obvious distaste of Laguna talking. "Remind me when I asked you for that story," Squall said, chastising the man. "Hey, don't get mad at me," Laguna said, draping his arm over the shoulder of the younger man. "You're still palling around with me, you can't complain." "I'm only with you because you keep following me," Squall looked away from the man, growing more and more tired. That was when Laguna saw a figure nearby. He nudged Squall in the shoulder, "Hey, doesn't that person look familiar?" Squall squinted and looked in the direction Laguna was pointing, "It does. Isn't that one of the girls from the Lufenia battle?" "How'd she get here so fast?" Laguna said, dropping his gun to the ground as he approached. Squall stood there, agast at his companion, "What...what are you doing?" Laguna slowly walked towards the girl and her child, and with his hands in the air, said in a calm, friendly voice, "Hey, what're you doing all the way out here by yourself?" (Yes, I am refering to Elsa. Laguna is trying to approach her and make sure she's safe)

~Johnny, Lufenia~Johnny looked over to see Terra, clad in his bronze armor, running beside him."Glad to have you," Johnny said, before looking up at the dragon. "I've got an idea. Mind giving me a boost up?"~Cosmos and Corrin, Sanctuary~The Gaster Blast had disrupted Cosmos enough to send her consciousness back to her own body. As she snapped back into her body, she collapsed forward of her throne and saw a blonde girl talking to her. "My name is Serena, and I am a friend of two of your warriors, Ventus and Aqua."Cosmos stood back up and addressed the girl, "Greetings to you, Serena. I am glad to see a friendly face." She noticed a girl in a black coat and a man in black armor, "Who are these two with you?"

~Johnny and Elia, the White Mage, Lufenia~ Johnny watched as the massive dragon appeared in the sky and began to take flight. This just got a lot more complicated. Johnny turned to the White Mage, "You ready for this?" The Mage nodded, and Johnny held his left arm out to his side. Let us pray that it's here. As soon as the thought had passed, a shield flew into Johnny's left hand, followed by various pieces of armor. Each one locked into place, and Johnny was now in his own armor. "I am a Knight of the Round!" Johnny assumed his defensive position and charged at the armored foe, Elia following closely behind. Johnny's shield collided with the armor, and Elia fired off her Dia spell. Depending on whatever this armored spirit was, the blast may or may not have affected him. Following the Dia attack, Johnny's concentration turned to the dragon. He called out to the moogle, "Mog! You and me are on dragon duty!" (Johnny's gone EX Mode!) ~Corrin, Sanctuary~ Corrin stepped through the dark portal Xion had summoned and found himself in a realm of white, his feet touching water. "Wow," Corrin said, taking in the sights of the Sanctuary. Cosmos sure knew how to make people feel at ease. In the distance, he saw a woman in white on a small throne of some kind, completely lost and unaware to the three that had just arrived. Corrin looked to Xion and Serena, "We made it. But there's something up with Cosmos." ~Cosmos, appearing before Elsa~ Cosmos's cloudy form appeared before the mother, now completely distraught at the events that had just occured. "I am sorry," she said, her calm voice beginning to break down. "I should have acted sooner. I did not know how fast Xathnan would have acted." Cosmos tried to look Elsa into the eyes, trying her best to be compassionate to the poor mother. "I know you never asked for this, and I am sorry for all that has happened in your regard. Your ability as a mother has been astounding in all of this madness." ~Garland, Xehanort and Vanitas, Kefka's Tower at the Sage's Cave~ Garland scoffed at the Warrior, "You know that the best plans never work out the way you want." At that, Garland's sword swung and collided with Xehanort's Keyblade, "If you are here to help, warrior, then I suggest you stand and fight with me!" Xehanort tried to throw Garland off of his sword, but the monster of a man was too strong. Xehanort called to the boy behind him, "Vanitas! Do something quickly!" At that, Vanitas jumped into the air, firing off several dark fireballs in a radius around him, trying to at least distract the four surrounding them. Landing, Vanitas' attention was drawn to the Warrior who had arrived. "You. I will make this painful, just for you," the boy said, getting back into a battle stance. The Guardian had moved towards the clown and the girl he had summoned. The dark creature began to focus on the girl and reach out to her. Something about her was... ~Lightning, Mirage Sandsea~ Lightning jumped at the sound of this newcomer's voice. Leaping up from her sitting position, she immediately drew her sword and held it out. "I don't know who you think you are, but that little intro sounds just a little bit too suspicious to me," Lightning said, completely devoid of all compassion. "If I were you, I'd start talking. And fast. Who are you?"

If not the obvious Terra, then Young Xehanort would be the strongest candidate.He's already got some enmity with Old Xehanort (the whole Keyblade thing from 2.5's secret ending), and he could also have some doubts about his own destiny (he's finding out that he will ultimately fail on many endeavors and wonders why he must follow that path).

~Cosmos, appearing inside Lifespring Grotto to Noel and Elsa~"Please!" a flash of light appeared inside the cavern, then the water began to form into the shape of the goddess of harmony. The figure began to speak, "Elsa, Noel, I regret not informing you earlier of this, but the man you see before you is not your enemy. Xathnan serves me now. He has seen the error of his ways and seeks repentance."
