  1. Corridor Digital and Freddiew make great videos
  2. Welcome! Just..do us all a favor and don't think about chickens covered in spikes, ok?
  3. Believe it or not, a shadow actually scared the crap out of me once (Figuratively speaking..). I was playing Re:CoM, and I had just entered a room. I thought I knew the Heartless spawn points fairly well, so I imagined I would be safe to take some time to munch on a snack before proceeding through...until suddenly a Shadow starts flailing it's way towards me, and by the time I saw it, it startled me
  4. Pretty much every symbol (At least the major enemy symbols as well as VTA's), have such a similar shape. I'm not quite sure about the connection, but the fact of the matter is that they all resemble each other in one way or another. Now, as for CO in itself, I believe the Organization found it without any real aid from Xehanort (Perhaps Xemnas learned of it from Aqua's armor?). They mention it in this scene around 7:08 It's likely that a lot of what Xemnas and the Organization knew about CO was from Aqua's armor, such as the fact that Ventus resided there among other things.
  5. I believe that in terms of story, Coded could have simply been resolved in a few cutscenes or as a small segment in another game (For example, something like how you had to get data from Ansem's computer, and you ended up going to Tron's world.). I do feel that the gameplay was a big plus though, so it still makes it worth playing (I've already reviewed this x3 So saying anymore would just be rehashing things on my end )
  6. My memory is a bit fogy on some of the later games, but Air Soldiers consistently prove to be the most annoying Heartless for me in KH1 at least. They are very good at slipping out of the range of your attacks, and they have extremely powerful attacks. These guys can easily kill you early game if you're not being careful.
  7. Blegh, I just have to say...that voice is so annoying x-x Anyways, to the matter at hand. I've always been under the influence that the reason Sora was able to attain the Keyblade in the beginning of KH1, Ventus's sleeping heart had some effect upon that. Now, if it's stated in the contrary in an interview, then I suppose that's that. It still seems like it would be a likely factor as to how Sora received the Keyblade to begin with. But, of course, when Sora began to understand where his power came from in HB, the Keyblade officially became Sora's, no longer relying on Ventus's place within Sora. A convenient time at that, as not long after truly owning the Keyblade, Ventus's heart left Sora to join his Nobody Roxas (I believe. As the heart shapes the vessel, Ventus's heart may have influenced Roxas's appearance as well as his inherent ability to hold emotions. Though, the original "Nobodies don't have hearts" concept was dashed in KH3D, the theory is still relevant.). Though, Ventus's heart may have never even left Sora, and instead simply altered Roxas's appearance through the connection. Nevertheless, let's get to the real theory. While I do believe this theory is plausible, I think there is also another idea that could be presented (Though it may not be as likely). We all know that Vanitas and Riku were essentially apprentices to the same individual, or at least some form of him: Xehanort. Notice that Xehanort possesses the exact same fighting stance as both Riku and Vanitas. As that is the case, we can at least assume that either Xehanort trained Vanitas to fight in that way, or it is some subconscious nature of Keyblade wielders of Darkness. This may apply to Riku, as he isn't seen fighting in this manner until HB. This leads me to believe that Ansem SoD may have trained him to fight that way, but is merely speculation. This idea also goes straight into their dark outfits. I'm not extremely certain on this issue, but I have considered the idea that Ansem SoD may have also played a part in Riku's design. Seeing as SoD must have had some knowledge of Xehanort's initial plans (As he went back in time and informed his younger self of his intent), I imagine the 'costume' could have been something he chose for Riku. But now to a crucial point: Why Riku? As the video speculates, it could have been out of some connection between Riku and Vanitas (Seeing as Vanitas visits DI at one point, he could have very well set up some sort of connection between him and Riku, for whatever reason), but I have another theory that could even explain the first. Perhaps Riku was seen as a target for Ansem SoD (Or Vanitas, it works with both theories) because of his ties with Terra. Considering Xehanort's initial choice to use Terra for his new vessel, he may have assumed that anyone Terra chose as a Keyblade wielder may also be as easily manipulated. Though, in terms of SoD, it may have also been due to Riku's desire to accept the darkness (It is a matter of truth as to why Ansem came to DI in the first place, as stated in the KH1 Ansem Reports if I recall. I believe he sent Kairi out into the void of the worlds, and Aqua's magic led her to Sora.) Of course, this is all speculation. I just thought I'd expand on this theory, showing that as of now we don't really know for certain. Both could be plausible, or hold no merit whatsoever. (I'm also probably not making a lot of sense with my theory, I dunno x3)

  9. As I currently don't have a diverse range of played games on my plate, I'm unsure if there are other games that I might enjoy more, but currently FFX is my favorite for some reason (It's probably totally biased since it was my first FF ). I tend to feel that it is because of just how things play out. The story just feels like it plays out really well, and I enjoy the gameplay for the most part (I say for the most part due to a certain minigame..for a certain sigil...bleh, I hate you chocobos x-x). It's just stuck to me and I can't stop liking it for some reason
  10. I both agree with you and disagree with you. Perhaps it may have been ingenuine at first, but I don't at all believe that Axel was doing it because "he was desperate." There is too much evidence against the contrary. Late in the game, when he has to confront Xion at the mansion, you can see the raw emotion surging through him. Axel was torn. He'd finally found two friends who are simple, people who he can just talk with and not have to worry about complications, and everything was slipping away from him. In KH2, he was tasked with bringing Roxas back. While it may have been an order, I believe Axel saw it as a chance to get his friend back. When Roxas first showed signs of remembering, Axel was almost overjoyed, but his hopes were dashed as Roxas couldn't recall Xemnas's name. Finally, when it all came down to the end, Axel had just given up. He had lost all hope that he would have his friend back, knowing where he was going and what he planned to do. Roxas was essentially gone, and i imagine it killed him on the inside. There's also Axel's death, where he clearly states that Roxas was the only one he liked, that he made him feel like he had a heart. If that doesn't convince you, look at the conversation Roxas and Axel have on the tower. Not only referencing what Ultima Spark said, but at the very end. A tear fell. You don't cry from something you're not sincere about.
  11. I would not remove any of them personally. Rather, I would have 358/2 Days remade into an actual game and I would wait patiently, hoping for it's arrival
  12. I generally tend to not use summons in any of the KH games. I only touch them in KH2 to level them up near the end, and I do tend to use D-links (Sorta summons) in BBS, but it's usually only to upgrade them and not much else. I do go around and collect the ingredients for Ice-cream in BBS (I generally try to get them the first time I'm in the world because I think they are guaranteed to show up then), but I never actually use the Ice Cream it makes. The only time I ever use them is when I'm trying to get the special command style (Frozen..something or another. There's a random chance you'll enter it when you use an ice-cream after beating one of the Ice cream shooters) I tend not to customize Gummi ships in KH2 since they have premade ones you can use to just beat standard missions. I also generally don't do any of the extra gummi missions in KH2 because there's just too many of them. It's interesting that they tried to make something out of it, but it was a bit overkill, especially with that final 'boss' x-x I've also had a tendency to avoid using magic attacks in KH 1 & 2 for some reason, but I've been breaking out of it. KH 2 doesn't give you much reason to use some of the attacks though as there aren't any enemies that are particularly weak to certain magic (Aside from like..2 heartless types, the Fire/Blizzard Lords, and I think Demyx is weak to fire? Can't remember). Magic in KH1 seems to have practical uses: Fire for single targets, Blizzard for a large group of enemies in front of you, Thunder if you're surrounded or there's a large chunk of enemies, and then the special magics still had usefulness too. In KH2, fire's small area affect can be ok if you're surrounded, but I personally enjoy the KH1 set up more.
  13. Sorry x-x I have a habit of not reading entire threads before posting so I missed your post .-.
  14. I just wanted to be sure. I do agree, the Keyblades are a bit of a cop-out. I'm not sure of what the ones before this series were made out of, but I know they were better quality (I personally don't own one of my own sadly ), though that isn't something that would cause me to not buy it solely. This is one of the reasons why I asked about the Ratchet joints, as that is something I don't like. Sadly I don't know anyone who actually owns one, so I can't be sure if I'd want my own I'd personally enjoy seeing a review on the two sets, but there isn't one around *Sigh*
  15. While this is true, it does simplify things greatly. You may not get increased chance of spawning them, but it is much easier to enter the room then leave than to travel a few rooms away or leave the world entirely only to come back. I don't believe that you can do this trick without encounter plus though, but I'm not entirely certain. I might try it in KH1 some time and see if I can just run between a room where I know Mushrooms will spawn in to see if you can get them without running 2 rooms away.
  16. I tried it with one video and I am not experiencing any troubles.
  17. (Now, I'm not entirely certain that this is fact, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be) Vanitas didn't make himself look like Sora, his appearance was (I believe) affected by Sora's encounter with Ventus. Due to their connection, Vanitas's appearance must have been influenced by that event. His relative appearance to Sora was also due to his 'age', since he is essentially as old as Ventus, being his darkness and all.
  18. And what exactly was that? Her saying that his texture was 'ok'? His height? The Keyblade? Nothing happens at 4:26
  19. I've been quite interested in play arts for, well, as long as I can remember I knew about them. It's a way of bringing one of my favorite games to life, something I can actually put on a shelf or such. Sadly of course, they are now hard to come by (And quite expensive to boot D: ), but I've managed to have some I'm keeping my eye on. Specifically (As the title suggests) the latest Riku play arts Square has put out (The standard Riku Dream Drop Distance figure, not the Tron: Legacy model). I'm very interested in getting it, but I was hoping to know something about the figure if anyone happens to know. Firstly, while it's something that doesn't really bother me, I've seen some stuff that leaves me to believe that the Keyblades in the latest sets are made of a, well, rather clunky plastic. I suppose my question is if anyone considers them to be somewhat cheap or a cop-out on making quality Keyblades? Another thing I remember seeing is that some parts on the Sora/Riku Tron Legacy figures that I saw in a review had ratchet joints (If you don't know what that is, it's basically a joint that clicks into position as opposed to a smooth rotating axis.) While I can see the benefits in posing or something like that, I personally hate them. Does anyone know if it does have any, and if so, which parts? I'd just like to know what to expect if I do end up purchasing it. Thanks!
  20. More than likely you're right. I am honestly very low on knowledge in terms of TWEWY, as I got to a point where I couldn't complete the game at my skill level. Chances are anything about TWEWY would transfer (In a way) to Traverse Town. I was just attempting to think of things logically, and even if what I said were to be true in terms of logic, I really couldn't be sure. Bleh, complex plots always have to complicate things
  21. Blah, double negative x-x Do you mean something like this? "It is possible for Joshua not to know the Grand Time" Double negatives mess with mah brain I apologize if I'm being a bit strong in my arguments, perhaps I'm getting a bit too into this whole topic as well as over thinking it. I tend to do that a lot.
  22. Well yes, that's true. I believe in your previous post you messed up the times a little (I edited it before I even saw this, which confuses me as it didn't show up while I was editing.), but this does make sense to me, as that's how things actually work. This is exactly the reasoning why I believe that Joshua had to be taking a bit of leeway in terms of what is true or not. He must have know that one came into the world first from the outer world, yet their time was later than when the second arrival came in (Assuming that like in the first visit, you could see what people in the other world are doing, therefore he could somehow see stuff that hadn't actually happened yet? Bleh) Joshua himself disproves that he can be in two places at once. How? He says to Riku that he needs to find Rhyme who is the key to travelling between both worlds because she has access to the portal. If he could be in both places at once, he wouldn't need Rhyme.
  23. The time difference between the two Traverse Towns has nothing to do with it. Riku couldn't have arrived after Sora, while at the same time Sora arrived after Riku. That pretty much seems like a paradox. The worlds are 'connected', but what happens in one world shouldn't happen in another. They are the same general world, but they are not that closely connected. At least that's what I think. If I'm wrong, please by all means prove it to me. Under the circumstances that the time difference has something to do with it, I understand it I suppose, though it's kinda bending logic. (Minding that I don't remember who's world was ahead of the other's, let me continue) Supposing Sora arrived before Riku in the scheme of the outside world, but Riku's world was an hour ahead of Sora's, and Riku arrived 30 minutes after Sora, it could be said that Sora and Riku both arrived before and after each other. Of course, as I said before, that's pushing the bounds of what really is applicable. The way you set up the times for Sora and Riku's worlds (Assuming that you expect Riku and Sora's worlds to be 'in synch' with each other, as in one is a set time period ahead of the other), doesn't make any sense. Sora can not meet Joshua 3 hours after Riku while at the same time Riku meets Joshua 3 hours after Sora, unless Nomura really felt like trolling us. That's not how it works in the real world either. It's a set time period, one place in the world will always be a set amount of time ahead or behind of another. You can't just throw around numbers and make up equations that 'work'. Edit: In terms of your set up, it is 'logical', but only if you were to either change one of the two sets of numbers around (For example, this would be a proper fix assuming Sora's time was the 'universal time' as you seem to have it: World 2 = Riku met Joshua at 10am and Sora at 1pm according to that world's time, yet again the grand time/universal time is still X at March 28th 2012 1:00pm -or this- World 2 = Riku met Joshua at 1pm and Sora at 4pm according to that world's time, yet again the grand time/universal time is still X at March 28th 2012 4:00pm) The way you have it set up defies all logic in this universe, and I highly doubt that Square would stray so far from what our universe already runs on. In those two scenarios I set up, your explanation 'works', but as I said before, it's pushing the reality of "Who arrives first". There is a definite standing on who arrives first: You must either focus on when they arrive in terms of the outside world, or the inside world (While the outside world is the more optimal choice, as it makes the most sense.). This concept is very similar to terms of relative velocity. If I am standing inside a bus, and it is going 40mph, relative to the bus, I am going 0mph, while relative to the ground, I am going 40mph. If I move to the front of the bus at 1mph, to the bus I am going 1mph, and to the ground I'm going 41mph. If I go to the back at 1mph? -1mph to the bus and 39mph to the ground (If you assume the direction of the bus to be the 'positive direction'). What does velocity have to do with this? My point is that it's all relative, and determining who arrives first based on both inner and outer world time is silly.
  24. It's in the 3rd district, but I'm sure you can tell that from the picture
