  1. I used my summer to try and get certified as a pharmacy technician. I took the exam last week and was told that I passed but that it was "unofficial" and I should know my official score soon. I start back to classes on the 24th and decided on doing 3 classes instead of 4. Java Programming, Pre-Calculus, and English 101. Right now I have too much going on to feel confident in taking that 4th class. I put in a job application to a hospital pharmacy in which if I get the job, I will be working seven 10 hour overnight shifts in a row then getting 7 days off, guaranteed every week. Which the 7 days straight is already going to be rough, but the possibility of added pay and a week off every other week is a great benefit.
  2. I know this isn't exactly about college but I think it could be a useful tip for many of you who are now breaking into adult life. If any of you have a credit card or are thinking about getting one, or maybe even haven't thought about getting one, this applies to you. In order to build a good credit score so that you can get an apartment, eventually get a loan on a car or a mortgage on a house, you have to use a credit card. There are many options out there, especially online, you just have to be careful you don't get scammed by going onto a fake website or something. Anyway, a lot of credit cards have benefits where you get cash back on purchases you make. Credit cards for beginners usually have a small 1 percent back deal. So say you buy something that's 100 bucks and then you pay it off at the end of the month you get a dollar back. Not a lot I know, but it adds up. And that's where the tip comes in. If you put your regular monthly bills on the card that you ALREADY have the money for, such as gas, vehicle insurance, groceries, etc you will not only build your credit score but also get the cash back thus saving money. Then at the end of the month when the bill comes you just pay it off like you would've had you not had the credit card in the first place. That way you don't get interest on it. They recommend you don't spend more than 30 percent of your credit limit. So if you get a credit card with a 300 dollar limit and then spend $100 each month of bills you already have anyway, you can get a dollar back each month. As your credit limit goes up and you can put more of your monthly bills on there, you'll get more back. Some credit cards even have 3 percent back on gas or 6 percent back on groceries. Let's say you only get 2 dollars back each month, in a year you have over 20 bucks just sitting on your card that you would've spent. It may sound a bit tedious for so little but when you're out of college and your credit limit's higher and your bills are higher, it wouldn't be that difficult to end up with around 25 bucks back at the end of the month in cash back on a 1 percent back credit card. Plus you're building and maintaining a good credit score that way. If you get into the habit now, you'll have an easier time later!~
  3. I've been to both, but really only remember Disney World. My dad was in the military and I was born in California where he was stationed at the time so they took me but I was a toddler so I can't remember anything other than puking on my aunt after a dizzy ride lol I went to Disney World in 8th grade and spent almost a week there with my mom, her ex-boyfriend, his son, my brother, and my grandparents. It was definitely a great place and I hope to take my son one day.
  4. So your dick is bigger than you are...?
  5. I absolutely love my PS4. Just don't have many games that are currently out that I want. Though I am looking forward to Uncharted 4, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy 15, and Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
  6. I just looked it up and I guess in terms of the number of students, University of Central Florida is the largest in the US with approximately 51,000 students
  7. Carnegie Mellon University is a private school and Harvard University.
  8. Like university and college? Yeah they're the same lol
  9. BEHOLD THE HOLY GRAIL http://www.textbooks.com/ I recently found this website and was able to get my Java Programming textbook for 90 bucks whereas my college is selling the book for 150 bucks. I was also able to sell my old Psychology textbook on this website for 90 bucks 8) Now not every deal is a great deal they were only gonna give me 8 bucks for my Western Civilization book lol But look around on it before going to your college's bookstore and getting your books, you might save some money. And also I might be getting an invitation to be in Phi Theta Kappa, the national honors society! In order to get in, you have to have a 3.5 gpa or higher as well as having completed at least 12 credits of college level courses. Then you will get a letter, instructing you on how to "apply." Then if accepted, you get inducted and in order to maintain your membership you have to complete 10 hours a year of community service or service to your community college as well as maintain that 3.5 gpa or higher. I e-mailed the adviser at my school for the honors society asking why I may have not received a letter since I meet the eligibility requirements and she said that I should expect a letter in September or October This would open me up to being elligible to apply for a ton of transfer scholarships once I transfer to a 4 year university as well as a membership seal being stamped on my college transcript. I'll get a gold pin and their website claims that if I got a federal job after college I would actually get an entry level pay raise just for being a member
  10. That would depend on which football you're referring to as well as the situation in questionnnnnnn
  11. *Football transforms into a red, white, and blue bomb and blows up Russia* 'MURCUH
  12. I played Dragon Quest VIII a while back and that was pretty good.
  13. That sucks. Like I understand cutting back on them for the players that don't care as much for them, but they would have been epic for the final battles against the 13 darknesses.
  14. Personally I do seem someone at least getting "taken out" of things and maybe Terra could then get added to the lights late as part of the plot. But idk who. If I had to pick, I'd probably say Lea or maybe Roxas, Xion, or Ventus if anyone of them are in the lights.
  15. I will admit that on Xehanort's end, if it truly has to be a specific 13 darknesses and 7 lights then by setting up the events of BBS he was actually setting the events of KH3 into motion as opposed to leaving it up to fate. In that sense, if he had an idea of how the future would play out then it's understandable why he was doing what he was doing. Not out of being "hasty" but in fact being patient and setting his plans into motion. But Eraqus had no reason to turn on Ven like that when he could've just as easily stood up to Xehanort and Vanitas WITH Aqua, Terra, and Ven. Through combined efforts they may have actually stood a chance in thwarting Xehanort.
  16. I think that's the problem that arises from writing as you go.
  17. Plus you've gotta think. Xehanort was out experiencing the world while Eraqus was comfy living on the Land of Departure. Xehanort's hunched over and it appears his body has taken a toll. He probably hasn't been spending his late years relaxing and his body shows it lmao
  18. Some people age better than others. I work with 2 guys who are only 3 years apart and one of them looks like he's in his 70s or 80s and the other guy looks like he's in his 50s or 60s.
  19. Sony's conference was pretty epic and I would say they won E3 so far, but it wasn't THAT epic. Imo all they really had was the FF 7 Remake. Most games aside from that were decent or we already knew about them anyway.
  20. Thanks I heard my pharmacy manager say it once(although I don't think he actually believes it, I think he just said it to sound wise lmao). I actually used it on my essay on my placement test when I applied for college and I placed college level in English so yeah lol
  21. First off, great job on continuing with school despite not getting your diploma. While a GED usually isn't looked at as well as a diploma, it's a sign that you didn't give up and settle for nothing. That being said, personally I think community college would be a good start. Benefits of community college: 1. FAR cheaper the first 2 years, easily cutting your total cost by a lot. Average state school may be around $25,000 or so. Community colleges maybe around $6,000 or so. So if you go for 4 years and start out at community college, you just saved $38,000 dollars. 2. Easier transition. Pretty much anyone can get into community college. Whether you have a GED or a diploma, whether you got good grades in high school or not, etc. By using community college as a starting point, you're guaranteeing your start to college. Then as long as you can apply yourself in community college, you'll have grades and achievements to show off when transferring to a four year university 3. It's all the same degree. Personally, I do believe that what school you go to does matter to an extent, but that's another topic. But here's the thing. Whether you go to community college or not, your degree will say "From Blah Blah University." Nothing on that degree says anything about you going to community college. You graduated from Blah Blah University. Not Blah Blah Community College. There are 2 paychecks you cash in at the end of the month. One is a money check, the other is your happiness. You should try to find a job that will provide you happiness as well as financial stability based on your own personal wants/needs. Not everyone can do that. And if you can't that's okay. Another thing you can do is find a job that allows you time for your dreams and hobbies. For instance, if you enjoy playing video games, maybe get a job that is low stress so you're not constantly worrying about work during your personal time instead of enjoying yourself outside of work. A good place to start may be the "Bureau of Labor Statistics." It's a website with tons of information on every career field available. It'll give you typical stats such as pay, education required, job description, expected job growth, etc. Good luck with your studies and decision! At school is probably the best study setting. Particularly in the cafeteria. My wife feels if I'm going to take a 4th class that I should do it online. She's not exactly eager to get to work, cuz she'd like to be a stay at home mom but we both know we need the money and it'll benefit our whole family in the long run. Down the road, once I'm done with school though she's thinking about going to school for optometry.
