I completely agree with everything you said. I was kind of upset about it at first, but it does make sense why it happened. I won't knock it until we learn more. And at least this (most likely) means Lea will be a main hero from now on. That's awesome:) Though I do hope you're right and he does use his chakrams from time to time. And it'll probably be explained in the next game just how he got a Keyblade. Though everyone's reaction to seeing it was damn funny. Shocking ending, indeed! For the player and characters alike. Even Lea was shocked when he was able so summon it. LOL. Also, on the Nami front, I think you have to have a heart to wield a Keyblade. While it's true that she may have obtained her own heart, we don't know for sure yet. But I can't see her as a fighter for some reason. At least not yet. She's too docile and always does what she's ordered to. She never fights for herself. I think Nomura has something else in store for her. Probably something we'll see if we play as Kairi in the next game. That's probably why she wasn't really in 3D. After all, she's a part of Kairi. Not Sora (which actually makes no sense, but whatever). If I'm being honest, I don't want Naminé to have a Keyblade. Too many people do now. Let her be one of the few that keeps to her original abilities. I imagine her powers over memories could actually be a big help to the protagonists if she learned how to control it. It would also make the story come full-circle if she fixed things with the power that, originally, caused a lot of damage to people. Anyway, Naminé's always been different from everyone else and I think it should stay that way. It'll let her keep her originality. Let's face it: if she gets a Keyblade, it'll just make her Kairi, Aqua, and/or Xion seem more Mary-Sue like (not that I think any of the KH girls are Mary-Sues, but a lot of fans do).

Personally, it seemed to me that Yen Sid was saying the Seven Lights had to protect the Princesses of Heart. Since they created the miltiverse everyone lives in (after the first Keyblade War), if something happened to them... Anyway, Kairi has two roles, it seems. LOL. @G-SANtos That makes a lot of sense. They probably just showed them in the intro because they have been the only playable Keybladers in story mode.

Umm... First off, shouldn't this title have a spoiler warning? Just saying. Anyway, as for the thirteen Darknesses I'm not entirely sure. I haven't completely, completely spoiled the game for myself yet. But there's obviously Master Xehanort, Xehanort's Heartless, Xemnas, Terranort, and young Master Xehanort, right? Then there's definitely Braig and Isa. I'd guess Vanitas is one. And then maybe some of the other founding members of Organization XIII? I'm not sure. And are Aleus and Ienzo included? Or are they good in DDD? I actually don't know the answer to that since the scenes haven't been translated. Now, as for the seven Lights, I'm inclined to think they're Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Ven, Aqua, and Lea. Ven seemed about to wake up at the end of 3D, and it shouldn't be too hard for them to find Aqua. Not to mention that the secret endings lately have all had her as a big part of them. If the next game is BbSV2, I imagine we'll play as her and get out of the RoD so she can be one of the Lights. Now you may be wondering about Terra, Roxas, Xion, and Eraqus. But even though the intro showed Terra and Roxas as two of the Lights, I don't think they can be them. Terra (and Eraqus) and Roxas (and Xion) still need rescuing. In fact, it's looking like the posessed Terra (and therefore Eraqus) will be one of the thirteen Darknesses. I think the intro just showed Terra as one of the Lights to represent BbS, and show how the past will repeat itself. And also because the player, at the time, didn't know Lea and Kairi could/would wield. And Roxas... I think they just showed him as a Light to show players he wasn't Ven (and possibly just because they needed a seventh Light in the opening or for fanservice). Anyway, I still say that the seven Lights will most likely be Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Ven, Aqua, and Lea. And I'm sorry if this sounds confusing. I didn't mean it to be, but it's not exactly easy to explain this stuff. LOL. And this is somewhat off topic, but even though Yen Sid's retired, I really want to see him forced to fight once in the next game. It'd be so epic and amazing.

So, I don't know if this really should be labled as a spoiler. Whatever. Now that there's been a hug between Sora and Kairi and Sora and Riku in 3D (which is why I put this under spoiler), I think Riku and Kairi should hug in the next game. Actually, I want more Riku/Kairi moments in general. I mean, they are best friends. Technically, I think there has been an even amount of moments between the trio members, but we don't see as many Riku/Kairi because the games are usually from Sora's PoV. Like, we obviously missed some TWTNW moments with them. They could have hugged then for all we know. I'm kind of inclined to think they must have (more that Kairi hugged Riku, though). Anyway, what do you guys think? I think it'd be kind of interesting to see them hug. Riku was sort of uncomfortable when Sora hugged him. I wondered what he'd be like with Kairi. Especially since he seemd to like Kairi in KH1, and Kairi obviously has strong feelings for him. All three of the trio have strong feelings for each other. I think we need to see a group hug someday, too. LOL. I really hope a Riku/Kairi hug is in the cards. After all, they will be spending time together while Kairi trains with her Keyblade (another spoiler). Leave your comments below:)

I'm going to assume that it's something Final Fantasy. I mean, it usually is. So my vote is on FFXIII-3. But is it possible they could be announcing Type-0 to be released world wide? It could also be about the FFX remaster coming out everywhere. And since we're all being hopeful, could it be another FFVII (DoC's secret ending did hint at one)? Or maybe a remake? Hmm... I still say it's XIII-3 or Type-0. Though I want KH news and a TWEWY sequel so, so badly! I really hope it's something about them! And this is somewhat off topic, but did anyone ever hear there would be a FFXII game for the PS3? I recently heard that, but really doubt it. Personally, I'd love a third FFX game to see Shuyin and Lenne's story... Actually, could it be XIV related? I'm not sure because I don't play XI or XIV. But hasn't XIV been announced everywhere? Isn't an early version out of it or something? I know everyone complained about it. Anyway, I'm really not getting my hopes up for this. LOL. I've learned not to do so through past things like this. I know for sure it won't be Versus, KHIII or anything like that (though I wish it were). But chances are, whatever this game is, I'll end up buying it and playing it. LOL.

LOL. I preordered it from Gamestop, too. Watch me regret that later (like, another store will have a better preorder bonus or something). LOL. Can't wait for the game (even if I only have a few hours left on the internet; once 3D's released in Japan, I'm staying away).

You can't always believe IMDB, though. Personally, I don't think I'll believe anything about who voiced Kairi until we hear it from Hayden or Alyson (or the companies). I just prefer things right from the source, as I know how easily things can be misunderstood or just be rumors.

I imagine she must have come back for it. I mean, we already know Kairi's at least somewhat in the game. Since Hayden came back for one line in BbS, I imagine she'll be back for 3D (as long as something didn't prevent it). And in the video, when David's talking about how the trio was cast, I think he would have said something like, "Though sadly Hayden couldn't do it this time around," if she'd been unavailable. The fact that he just passed right over Kairi's name makes it seem like there hasn't been a massive change with the role, but I might just be reading into it all too much. What do I know? LOL.

LOL. I know! And it's so sad, too. It would have been perfect for him to say the Road to Dawn line. It kind of goes hand in hand with CoM and 3D. But I would have liked to hear him use the young Riku's line (I gave above), too. Mainly because he never voiced that one. LOL. Anyway...

Really great find! I've always wanted to hear David talk about the role of Riku. That video back in 2005 (on MTV) was too short and outdated. But I absolutely loved this! It's always so interesting to hear what goes on behind the scenes. I think I may have a higher respect for David now (even more than I had) after watching this. Here's hoping we'll get some other cast interviews, too! Though I wish someone would have asked him if he'd voice Riku in the next saga. Also, there are so many great lines they could have had him recite! That was a failure on the asker's part. There's: "I want to be strong someday. To protect the things that matter. You know, like my friends." "We've always been rivals, haven't we? You've always pushed me, as I've always pushed you. But it all ends here. There can't be two Keyblade masters." "Whatever's hurting you, I'll make it go away." "It's the Road to Dawn." Personally, I would have asked him to say this. "You can't fight fire with sparks." "Come on Sora, I thought you were stronger than that." "You wanna know? I'll tell you why. Because I'm not a total sap like you." "How'm I gonna face everyone?" "The truth, Sora, is that I was jealous of you. I wanted to live life the way you do, just following my heart." I should stop now... Anyway, this is great news! I knew he and Haley would come back (they're one of the few VAs that have always done so), but it was nice to hear all the same. I love the story about how he got his schedule confused and came in during Haley's session. LOL. And is anyone else even more excited by the fact that David wanted to spoil stuff for us? That means there had to be a ton of crazy/epic moments. This game is going to be sweet! I always knew it would be, but still.

I think my favorite is tied with BbS and KH2. Then probably KH1 or Days (I think they're tied, too). Chain of Memories is my least favorite, as I just pretend Coded never happened. Anyway... I'm really starting to think Dream Drop Distance will become my favorite. The release is so close and yet so far away. I can't wait! I hope we get a US release date soon. And I hope it comes out fast! I'm going to have to avoid pretty much all of the internet so I won't be spoiled. It'll be worth it, though.

LOL. Even though I'm not in the mood to pull out all the Sora and Kairi hints to defend my pairing (like I have in the past), here seems as good a place as any to give a comedic reason as to why they're together. They're obviously together because Square can't do romance to save their life. (Note I am NOT insulting Square-Enix in any way. I have a bajillion favorite pairings from them. Below is mostly a joke, but there are some things that do make you wonder.) 1. Zack and Aerith were actually supposed to be a couple in Crisis Core (and I think they were). In VII, Aerith said he was her boyfriend and first love. And, yet, they acted less couple like than many of the pairings that aren't official. They acted like they had school yard crushes, actually. And they were supposed to be official. Honestly, there are more SoKai hints then there were ZaErith moments in CC. 2. Serah refers to Snow in XIII-2 (who she's engaged to marry) as a "friend". Yeah, enough said. Not to mention Square could have had Snow/Serah together in the present for once in XIII-2 (when they were unable to have anything other than flashbacks in XIII), but instead they chose to make Snow a cameo, and have Serah with Noel the entire game. 3. Cloud and Tifa (and many pairings like them) can just be mentioned and you'll understand the irritation. In Dissidia Duodecim (at least the English version) he referred to Tifa as a friend when you know they're more than that. In "On the Way to a Smile" Tifa asks Cloud if he loves her, only for him to feign sleep. 4. They zoom out when Squall and Rinoa kiss at the end off FFVIII. And when Zidane and Dagger may or may not kiss in FFIX's ending. 5. Final Fantasy XII had very little romance. It's sequel, however, Revenant Wings had quite a bit. Vaan and Penelo kiss twice! But they're little chibis you can only tell are kissing by the noise and heart that'shown. They could have made either a pretty FMV like many of the other scenes in the game, but did they? No. 6. The good ending in X-2 is better than the perfect ending. Yuna pushes Tidus into the water. What a romantic ending! And they're probably the most couple-ish FF pairing to boot! 7. In Dissidia Duodecim, instead of having Vaan and Penelo together (like they were in XII and RW), they have Vaan and Terra hints. A pairing that can never, ever happen, as Dissidia's not really canon, but Square chooses to make Vaan/Penelo fans mad, and Vaan/Terra fans heart broken (at their impossible love) in one go. Dissidia messes with a lot of canon pairings, now that I think about it. Yep. If this doesn't prove SoKai's canon, I don't know what does. Because Square-Enix make beautiful pairings you love, but execute it all wrong (Sora and Kairi's problem is much like Snow and Serah's; they're a couple, but never together). And I'm probably forgetting a lot more of these I'd come up with. Oh well. I hope this got a laugh from some people. In all honesty, love is treated differently in Japan. And I think that's why these pairings seem weird to us. They act a lot more innocent, and don't even tell someone they like them unless they can see themselves marrying them. They just don't date anyone. And a lot of times, they won't even tell someone they like them because they're afraid of ruining their relationships forever. Because love is taken so, so seriously there (or so I've been told). Huh. This also sounds like Sora and Kairi. LOL. Edit: I just thought of one more. KH2 made many people ship Roxas and Nami. However, Days seemed to have hints at Roxas and Xion. This angered many fans who were fans of the RokuNami pairing, and even made some people become RokuShi fans. Even though I'm now a Roxas/Xion fan now, that was kind of annoying. I did like Namixas in KH2, after all. Yeah, Square-Enix and couples... be ready to get annoyed (in some aspects).

I still say they're together in the games, but they just don't tell the fans. LOL. Lines like these (and other things) make the pairing so obvious: "Kairi, I know you. You're that girl he likes."-Roxas. "We never met. I was never Sora's friend."-Naminé "And you were never anything more, either."-Sora (keep in mind he pretty much thought Naminé was Kairi in CoM). "Is she that important to you?"-Saïx. "Yeah, more than anything."-Sora "I'll take you to see Sora. You don't want that?"-Saïx "I do. More than anything."-Kairi "Think Sora. Just one more time about who's most special to you."-Naminé. "To Sora, she's someone very special."-Riku I could go on and on (and have in the past), but I won't this time. Honestly, it's the only pairing in the game that can be argued as canon. I really think it's Nomura's lack of interest in pairings (and him not wanting to discourage people that like other pairings) that makes it unofficial. I will forever view them as a couple or in love, however. And I really hope we see their relationship progress one day. It would make them seem more realistic. They are teenagers, after all. Edit: And I have to say the scene that always sold it the most for me is when Sora pretty much kills himself to bring Kairi back to life. And then when he sees her awaken, he offers her one last smile before he fades away.

I'd prefer Final Distance by Utada Hikaru, personally. Though I do like Beautiful World. There used to be a beautiful SoNami/RokuNami video to that song. If only it hadn't been deleted. Anyway, right now it's not looking like a new theme will happen. At least for awhile. I hope there's a new one for KH3, though...

LOL. I just might Anyway, I'm actually quite mad about the raft thing. I know it's probably part of the dream, but still. They'd built that raft for the three of them to explore other worlds together. It seems insulting to me that they'd go without her. It just isn't fair. Especially since she's really gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to seeing other worlds and adventuring. She hasn't even seen her home since Leon began trying to fix it up. It's sad. Hopefully she'll see it someday. And, honestly, what happened to: "Sora, let's take the raft and go. Just the two of us."? If only two of them can go (instead of the preferred three), it should be Sora and Kairi. This is just going to add more fuel to the Sora/Riku fans. Not that I have anything against that pairing, I just think canon wise they're really just best friends. And I don't think it's fair to ship them just because Square doesn't seem to know how to include Kairi. And I really think it's a dream, so just because Sora and Riku go on the raft does not mean they're a couple or something. They have no control over what happens during the Mark of Mastery. I just really miss Kairi in the series. It really isn't KH to me without her. She added a sense of charm and completion to it. The new games have been nice, but the ones that could have had her and didn't... just seemed empty to me. I mean, if you think back to KH1 (before Riku got all the character development), the game was really about reuniting Sora and Kairi. Sora was really trying to save her. KH1 started it all, many people argue it's the best, and without that aspect of Kairi that KH was known for, it just doesn't feel like KH, you know? That's why I hope we're right, and that Kairi's role will become more developed. Because even though I love KH (mainly because I've played it since the beginning; I've played it more than half of my life), and I'll always love and enjoy the games... if they don't start including Kairi again, I'm going to be slightly irritated all while I'm playing. I'll be the first to admit that I'm always looking for Kairi scenes and SoKai scenes (SoKai's my favorite pairing just because I thought they were the cutest thing most of my life). I fear without those scenes, KH loses its own bit of Disney magic that drew people in as much as anything else did. Because the "knight and his princess" thing was the most Disney-esque feeling (KH by itself) had. I miss that when it's gone. It's just not the same experience without it. It's not the same experience without the sweet Kairi. In the earlier games, everything was driven by her. Sora and Riku clashed in trying to save her in KH1. Sora tried to save Nami because he thought she was Kairi in CoM. In KH2, Riku was looking out for Kairi. Sora wanted to find Riku so they could return home to Kairi. When she was kidnapped, Sora was trying to save her again. Seriously, what happened to Kairi's involvment in KH? It seems she's only mattered recently by having created Xion in a roundabout way (Xion was created from Sora's memories of Kairi, and since she was the most important person to Sora, she acted like her and whatnot). I miss Kairi. Please Square! I beg you: bring her back! You've made KH lose some of its emotion without her. Please bring her back for her fans! You've made good of the other "Kairis" (her Nobody, Xion, and her "Master" Aqua). Why can't you do the same for her, the original? The girl that's supposed to be the main girl. -sigh- Rant over.

Xion smiling! I don't care from what scene, but we need more cutscenes like that. In the ones we have, she's too sad all the time (where in the in-game scenes from Days she was happy a lot). I guess just anymore CGI with her would be nice. She's really the only one, main girl wise, that has had so little screentime in cutscenes and especially in CG. And I'd love to see Sora and Kairi's second hug (the one in KH2) in CG. Maybe even the entire trio reuniting in The Castle That Never Was when they're holding hands. Oh! I'd love to see something like that with all the trios, actually. Like having it flash between them. And maybe Nami could be "drawing" them or something so she's not left out? I just really want to see some SoRiKai trio stuff. I'd also love to see Vanitas (without the mask) in CG. And maybe some Terra and Aqua things. Pfft. I totally don't ship certain KH pairings at all (not). Proud shipper of: Sora/Kairi, Roxas/Xion, Terra/Aqua (and Vanitas/Aqua sometimes), and Riku/Naminé. (Though I also love the crack pairings of Ven/Naminé and Vanitas/Naminé, but I know neither of those will either happen; Vanitas/Aqua will never happen, either.) Oh! And Kairi fighting! SIlly me. How could I almost forget something as awesome as that? I don't care if it makes sense for the opening; I just want to see it! It needs to happen eventually. LOL.

She's got spunk, as well as a heart of pure Light. She could help create the X-Blade. She really needs to become the "Aqua" of her group. She pretty much is already. But every other person in the trios can fight, so why not her? Nomura must have given her a Keyblade for a reason. And since the special trailer makes it look like Sora might fall into sleep like Ven or something, it would only make sense for Kairi to step up. That might be the perfect time to really give her her chance to shine. She's not just going to hang back while Sora is in danger. In fact, the original trailer for KH1 made it sound like Sora either ended up dying or falling into darkness, and that Kairi was trying to save him. It'd be great if something like that happened here. I just want to see the feisty girl I loved! The one that said, Sora was a lazy bum and completely hopeless without Riku and her. Let's see that. Let's see how she's needed. And it'd just be perfect to end the Xehanort Saga similar to how it started. It started with one trio's actions, let's end it with that trio's saviors' actions. Honestly, I thought it would have been cool if Kairi was secretly playable in 3D. Obviously it ties heavily into BbS (and I sort of think 3D is BbSV2). And we still have no idea what will happen in the parts of the game not covering the Mark of Mastery, but, sadly, I know we won't play as her in it. You know what else would be cool if Kairi was playable? She'd be like Aqua, but at the same time she'd be like Ven who was less experienced at fighting when it came to Terra and Aqua. It really would be a cool way to tie everything together. And if Xehanort really is trying to create another Keyblade War... well, Kairi will have to wield eventually. There aren't that many wielders, after all (at least not like there was in the past). And you know what? At this point, I don't even care if it makes sense for her to suddenly be a fighter. Would I like it to be realistic? Yes. But at the same time, they need to save her character before she's totally unredeemable. I want her to be remembered for something before the Xehanort saga ends! Because right now, if you take away the fact that she's a PoH (not to mention damsel in distress), Sora and Riku's friend, and possibly Sora's love interest, you really have nothing to her. We really know nothing about her. In that aspect, I say just throw her out into battle like they did Yuna and Serah in their games' sequels. I don't even care if they attempt to explain her sudden fighting skills (like they kind of tried to with Serah, but failed at). Just let her do something! Sorry. Rant over. I'm just a HUGE Kairi fan. I always have been, and always will be, but I don't think her treatment in the games has been fair. Shutting up now. And here's the original KH1 trailer I referenced (I'm sure everyone's already seen it, but whatever) Edit: After watching the beta trailer again, I think some of the things originally planned for KH1 are going to play seriously into KH3D!

YES! Oh my gosh, that's the thing that bothers me the most about Kingdom Hearts. Especially the games as of late. Like J. Severe said, they're supposed to be a trio. Not a duo. I highly believe Kairi is meant to be Aqua's successor (like Riku's Terra's and Sora's Ven's), but she needs to get some screen time soon. She's falling into the background more and more which is sad. She was so cool at first, and now she's a rather flat character. It also seems out of character to me that she'd stay behind. In KH2 she was like, "I'm sick of being left behind. From now on, wherever one of us goes the other follows." She obviously wants to help, so I don't see why she doesn't. And, honestly, I think Nomura may have her fight in whatever BbSV2 is. I hope. It just bothers me that she's supposed to be the main girl, but everyone else is so much more important than her. And they also seem to be pretending things that happened with her occured with other people. Like how Riku tells Quasi that Sora saw the real him. Umm... it was Kairi that realized it was Riku and not Xehanort's Heartless in TWTNW. Kairi doesn't get enough credit. Her being a playable character would make things more even. Really it's ridiculous that everyone else has been playable and more credited than her. If nothing else, put her in the game more and give her some character development. And you know what I don't get? Fans complains that she's useless and yet, when someone voices making her a playable character (as to make her better), they protest that, too. I really wish people would make more sense, and be more reasonable about Kairi. Anyway...

I love Olette! I always make sure to include her when talking about KH girls. Which isn't hard because there aren't many. Is it weird that I think she's one of the most dimensional KH girls, despite barely being in it? I don't know, I just liked her. She had spunk, she was realistic, a good friend, she was kind... And I liked that she was smart. She's the Hermione or Topanga of her group. And even though she was in a trio, she wasn't really like the Kairi clones. And I'm SO glad she has green eyes. Anyway... Olette forever! P.S. I liked her voice actress. She's very talented and infectuous. She was also Malina on The Emperor's New School. I actually enjoyed that show.

I just thought of something. If you put Crisis Core on the poll, shouldn't Dirge of Cerberus be there? And for that matter, even Before Crisis. Actually, I guess all of the prequels, sequels, and spin-offs (of the main titles) should probably be listed to make it fair, but that's just my opinion. But there is that sequel to XII, Revenant Wings (which I actually really liked). And there are the two Dissidias. I also think there's a prequel to IV. And I know there's a sequel-ish thing to V, but it's an anime; I guess you can't put that one. There's also Type-0. Anyway... There are a lot of FFs. It's hard to keep track of them all. LOL.

Final Fantasy X was my first one so it has to be my favorite. It was just so amazing! It had great gameplay, story, characters, and the best romance FF ever had. I mean, who doesn't know the Maccalania scene? It was also the first in the series to do a lot of different things. It was the first FF for PS2, the first to have voice acting, incredible graphics; it was the first to have a direct sequel. And in that direct sequel it was the first FF to have a female lead. It also was the first Final Fantasy where you could switch party members during battle. And it was easily understandable because Tidus was from another world, so it was good for newcomers. You came into Spira, and the FF world in general, just as he did. It didn't feel like you were missing a lot of knowledge. And they actually did that on purpose because they knew X would introduce a new generation of FF players. The game is just monumental, and the ending also went down in history. I eagerly await the HD remaster. And I REALLY hope it's the International version. LOL. No matter how many times I play this game, it never gets old
