  1. Hamil. I honestly think his craziness is better portrayed in comics, animation and in video games where they can really go to town with the imagery and create scenarios that just simply would not work in live action movies. And Mark Hamil just brings such a fitting voice to the character as well. Like seriously its one of those voices that you hear and instantly you would know what character it is even if you had never seen an episode before or played the games. I also think he did a good job on the Killing Joke as well, one of the Joker's greatest storylines and to see some of the mad scenes from the book be bought to life like that was pretty great. Haven't seen Suicide Squad yet so can't vote really but that's where I stand as of now. I don't really think you can compare the animated ones to the live action ones, though. Because in the movies you need to portray as a human, yes he's insane but he's still a person. Whereas in the animation you can give a voice to just about anything regardless of how ridiculous it is and it just works.... Errrr I've lost my train of thought. But believe me there is a point in there somewhere I was trying to make.
  2. God of War, Metal Gear, Ratchet and Clank, Bayonetta, Shadow of the colossus (their new game, last guardian, is also out soon and will probably be good as well), Heavy Rain which if you get the PS4 version on disc it comes with beyond two souls, beyond two souls sucks but heavy rain was pretty good. Mirrors Edge, the first one is good but I hear the new one isn't as good. Transistor is a really great game as well, it's an indie game with a really interesting and well executed gameplay mechanic that's part turn based and planning a tracks and part real time combat, beautiful art style and a great OST. All those should keep you going until at least FFXV
  3. Retweet. I visit the states 3-4 times a year to go to Disney World and run in the RunDisney races there. We have Subway here in the UK as well so I know that's a safe bet. But yeah we literally go to IHOP on our first day every time for breakfast. And it's so good!
  4. Just a kind of interestingish discussion I was having earlier and wanted to bring it here since you lovely lot are usually good for a decent discussion. So do you believe in Karma? And if you do, do you believe in the traditional way society thinks of it (good things happen to good people and bad stuff happens to bad people)? Or do you have your own meaning that you have applied to it? For me, being an agnostic anyway. It's kind of always been one of those maybe and maybe not but I'll try to be a good person because it makes me happy anyway kind of things. I mean I spent years of my life being nice to everyone and basically being a doormat to everyone. And while I'm trying to change that a bit, here I am years later with three jobs including my own business, more money than I really know how to spend, a good family, good health and hobbies etc... But I'm looking at the people who were massive jerks to me in the past and some (not all mind you) are having some pretty bad luck. I'm still undecided to be totally honest but there's certainly been instances lately in my life that make you go "Hmmmmm..." something on the scale of being enough to make you rethink your stance on karma that's for sure. So yeah, wanted to hear from you. Sorry if this has already been discussed before. I'm still getting used to the way things work on this board, it's totally different to the one I spent years on previously.
  5. Seriously, there's a reason why people say "I'm here for you." And stuff like that. I often feel like after I've posted a message about something that's going on in my life, it's enough for me to externalise it. Like once I've written it down it exists in written words and that helps me to understand and overcome stuff. So find a good friend or free counselling sessions etc if it gets worse. Its easy when yore feeling like that to shun away everyone because "Ah they don't understand" but they do and most of them have felt or are even feeling the same way. And that helps you to feel not so alone I think. But by all means take the time you need for now
  6. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...STAR WARSEpisode VIII First Order Strikes Back * Insert everything that happened in The Force Awakens here* Film starts.Seriously though I think that's pretty good, it kind of needed to pick up straight after TFA ended really. One thing I think is interesting, though is that Kylo Ren will be finishing his training in this one so I wander who will be the main villain this time? Personally I wouldn't mind a film where you get to see the first order guiding up their forces more and the resistance and Jedi building up and getting ready to counter attack which would lead into an epic finale for EP 9.
  7. Thunder, rain and lightning. Danger, water rising. *Crazy guitar riff here*
  8. So here's the thing: I've had my account here for just over five years now, actually it was Cricket who told me to join all those years ago and we haven't actually talked in years since then so that's how long ago that was. But part of the reason I didn't stick around was because the site felt very unwelcoming if I'm being honest. Everyone was already friends and had been for a while and as a new member it felt like everyone was already against you. So after making a few posts and no one was replying to them and I wasn't making any friends or anything I just sort of drifted away. But recently I really got back into KH again and decided to come back and make some posts. And now it's awesome! I've had some incredible conversations from of course talking about the games, to sharing and discussing writing tips and formatting with other writers here and even having decent conversations about politics. Now it really feels like everyone's opinion as long as it's presented in a respectful way is welcome. And it's easier to make friends. Since the staff members are the ones responsible for keeping the site that way, I have to tip my hat to them. And I'm not even wearing a hat. As someone who has been a moderator in an active community before. I know it's a thankless job where you get hate from people who don't like what you do. But this really is a great community you guys have built up here. You should be proud of yourselves. This place helps a lot of people.I went into the forum lounge and browsed a few pages back and there's people sharing stories about how they are depressed or there's just really bad things going on in their life and the amount of support they get from members is pretty incredible. I mean this forum could very well save that person's life. You're like a modern day super hero. That's pretty amazing when you think about it.
  9. How is a job listing "false information"? That's literally the opposite of false information as long as it's from an official site. And one other thing, someone was talking about how people don't like being corrected. I don't mind being corrected on some things if it's relevant and is actually adding to the conversation but when it's something completely bloody pointless like the size of a character's shoes or something silly and you still have that one guy whose like "NO ACTUALLY SORA'S EYE COLOUR IS BROWN WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?!"... Yeah that annoys me. Excersise a bit of self awareness, it's a game about a boy who fights Disney characters using a big metal key that looks like the most impractical weapon ever. You don't need to take it so seriously.
  10. Final Fantasy (15 looks really cool though and from what I understand will play totally differently to the others so that may change with that) Elder Scrolls - I mean the games are okay but I really don't get the big deal about them Fallout - Same reason Pokemon FIFA and every annual sports title Sonic Mario Uncharted Those are the first ones that come to my mind.
  11. People are just put off by the price. My HTC Vive arrived yesterday. My computer is set up downstairs so there is plenty of space for it and my rig has plenty of power for it. But yes the Vive is by far the most expensive way of experiencing VR but I can honestly say once it comes down in price, is definitely worth it. I played Job Simulator and the tracking is so good you can literally walk around the game World freely and everything around you is the game world as far as the eye can see. Looking up and seeing the sky instead of tour ceiling is weird. VR genuinely makes me feel a bit uneasy when I play it. Not nasueus just the feeling of being "In" the game and that everything is scaled to look life size is terrifying. Even on The Lab when Gloados comes in, she's actually bloody huge! Like she's genuinely quite an imposing presence. And the tracking is so good you can get in and out of vehicles or even crawl under them. Technically and from a "woah" factor the Vive is amazing. I just hope VR takes off the way people are hoping it will so that more actual games will come out. A lot of the stuff right now feels like glorified tech demos. Still an experience though. Universe Sandbox in VR with full scale planets around you where you can see all the details is a really freaky experience.
  12. Y'know this is becoming such a regular thing now that I am really starting to struggle to find the thoughts let alone turn them to sentences to describe how I'm actually feeling. Just... Man... Rest In Peace. That's all I have left to say. Just. Damn.
  13. HTC Vive arrived today! Looking forward to trying VR for the first time.
  14. Are you in the UK? Tons of people here are playing it. My friend literally said to me "Seriously you need Pokemon Go. Give me your phone and I'll get you it, it takes two minutes." So yeah I have it now. I have to say it's actually quite fun. I'm not the biggest Pokemon fan but I like the concept.
  15. Sorry I'm still sort of new here and don't know how to quote specific parts of the post without making it go all sad face, but I so agree with the last part. In fact social media annoys me for this exact reason. You see I'm a guy who has always looked for the truths of any situation. And with that, I want to know the truth of the people I talk to. I don't want to only see the good stuff that you share on Facebook and post on the internet, I want to know that you're feeling down and thinking your goals are a million miles away and you'll never get there. Because that's how we can connect and help each other grow. I feel like social media and "likes" and stuff has closed people off from each other. And that's not cool. Anyway, just wanted to get that side note off. I know it was a bit off topic but I'm going to be a school kid and use the "Well everyone else was doing it." excuse. So what do I to motivate myself? Well my primary source was always music. I listen to an Australian hip hop group called Bliss N Eso, some of you may have heard of them. Some of the lyrics in their songs have opened my eyes up to how great life can be, if we want it to be. Another thing is that, last year I went sky diving. It was on my bucket list for a while and people were like "Aren't you afraid?" and I realised and answered "You know what I'm scared of? Regret. I'm more scared I will grow up old and bitter with regrets than I am of taking chances while I can." I mean can you imagine a worse fate than being old, taking your last breaths and living your last days on Earth with regret and feeling bad about all the things you never did? I can't imagine a worse feeling than that, physical or otherwise. Another thing I realised when I was up in the clouds falling towards the ground was "Wow everything looks really small" because guess what? Everything is small. We tend to blow things way out of proportion. There's always someone who had bigger ambitions than you, who sacrificed more for their goals than you etc. Whatever hill you have had to climb or are yet to climb up in life, there's a bigger one somewhere. In the grand scheme of everything, the Earth is a tiny pale blue dot and people go to war to claim just a tiny fragment of it... Well done, humans. Always look at the bigger picture, the big things we think are in front of us are actually not so big when you consider the Universe, let alone other universes that may or may not have even been discovered yet. Is that girl breaking up with you really that bad when there are actual real tragedies happening in the World? That doesn't mean you don't get to be sad as well of course, feeling your emotions is actually healthy. But its still something to think about when you're in a "Woe is me" mood. There is no reason whatsoever why you can not chase your dreams in life, a failure along the way is tiny and people will very quickly move on from it and talk about what was on TV last night instead. Let them. You'll be too busy going for your goals to have the time to listen to them anyway.
  16. Did you not ask her out while they weren't together? Ah well, play Kingdom Hearts and drink plenty of alcoholic beverages, that helps me deal with it
  17. This is why Cameron said that as soon as a Leave result would come through, he would trigger article 50 straight away, now he's decided to step down and delay the process for months... That must be really annoying to the EU as well because it's making it look like countries can leave and then just chill out for months while they figure out a way to get the best deal while still maintaining the independence the country has voted for. I'm not a politician and right now I'm very glad I'm not. The government is in chaos because the current government was assembled on a country that was part of the EU and now it's not, of the country is going to change then the people leading it also need to change. I very much doubt there will be a 2nd referendum and even if there is... What if we have one and people vote to leave again? We just keep going around in circles until eventually the result is remain? No. I voted remain and I truly believe that it was the better option for many reasons. But at the end of the day, it is what it is. Those who regret voting leave, or were misinformed, you should have done your research and not just followed the clearly false promises. But that's one of the downsides of a democratic country, it gives everyone a chance to have a voice and I don't know if you realised this yet but... Most people are pretty bloody stupid. But this doesn't have to be terrible, if we all work together and unite (Y'know the very thing the United Kingdom was founded on) then maybe, just maybe, this can be a positive for everyone.
  18. Y'know at first I was really annoyed that Leave won. But now I just hope and think we should all unite and work together to make sure that this is as positive for as many people, UK or otherwise as it possible can be. We have a freedom now, let's use that freedom to create a better voting system in the country which will be much fairer and will hopefully crack down on all the lying. Let's use the extra £238 million a week to make the country a better place to live for those who are struggling. And use our new freedom to create trading opportunities with countries and make things as good as they can be. A leader leads by example. We are in this now. And all this hating on people who have a different opinion to you, or calling for a 2nd referendum is not the way forward. We've survived worse tha just leaving the EU, if we all pitch in together then we could turn this into a positive thing even though it may not be what we voted for. If you want a democracy then you have to be prepared to not always get your way when the public get to vote. Just ask Scotland... Ohhh political jokes, so edgy. But seriously though arguing about days gone seems a bit silly to me. We need answers and not arguments. If you feel duped by this then let's use this new freedom to make positive changes so this can't happen again. Maybe if a politician breaks a promise within one day of winning then the country will go right back to the polls again... Either way, it's not worth dividing people any more than this referendum already has. You're either part of the solution or you're part of the problem.
  19. The NHS part wasn't necessarily a lie. The money could be spent on the NHS, they never said that's what actually would happen. People need to read between the lines especially when it comes to propaganda like that advert. Politicians aren't exactly known for being honest and not bending the truth, are they? I mean the advert said "We spend £238 million a week to be part of the EU, that money could be spent on the NHS." For one it never tells you WHY we spend £238 million a week to be in the EU or where that money goes when it is paid. And even then they keyword is could. To be perfectly honest I don't think that money should be entirely pumped into the NHS anyway, raise taxes for the rich and it won't be a problem anymore... Oh but wait, that would be a fair system wouldn't it so we can't have that...
  20. I'm not happy about it as I mentioned in the other thread. It was amazing to see just how quickly both parties went back on their promises though. Only about an hour or so after the final vote count and Cameron dropped out despite promising he would immediately file the Brexit order (effectively this delays the whole two year process by months since he's left it up to his successor) and the leader of the Leave campaign saying "Yeahhhh so about that £350 million to the NHS uhhh here's the thing about that...." Both parties lied after only an hour of winning / losing. That is a new record on lying. It is what it is. I'm not pleased at all but right now all I have left is hope that this won't be the worst thing ever... Not looking good so far. It was hilarious to see "What happens if we leave EU?" get a 300% increase in searches on Goolge AFTER the voting. Probably should have researched that and THEN decided, lads.
  21. Today I woke up with almost 10% less money. The human bill of rights possibly no longer applying and being changed for a "British bill of rights" and the government now free to enact it's mass spying law without the EU being able to say "No because that is really stupid and an invasion of privacy" The rich have suddenly got more rich and the poor more poor. But you know, FREEDOM! And all that. What makes me laugh as well is the huge increase in Google trends for "Buying gold" and "What happens if we leave EU?" Hmm maybe you should have looked at that before you voted, lads. I'm not best pleased. I voted remain. I wasn't sure until the last moment but when I was sure I was really sure. So far nothing good and only bad has come of this. Also I should point out, the final result isn't in yet but Leave is ahead by a decent number now and it's looking very likely with only a handful of results left to be counted. Really this has just made my future choices more easy.
  22. I knew you'd get the job. I wasn't just saying that in the other thread, I genuinely did think you'd get it. I mean I run my own business and I'd employ someone who wanted the job and was that excited about it. Congratulations, hope you enjoy the job.
  23. Being that all I use my computer for is gaming and internet browsing and occasionally Spotify, as long as I have an OS which allows those basic things then I don't really mind. The only thing I don't like it hat they genuinely forced me to upgrade. For the longest time I was closing the pop up like "Whatever." but then it literally just downloaded and installed anyway. I mean its okay to be honest but I like to have my choice. I didn't spend £1200 on my PC just to be told by my own computer what Operating System I need to be using.
  24. Sounds like it went well! I think that's the thing with interviews is to ask questions yourself too and try to make it more like a natural conversation. Good job, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. What I'll say is to continue to apply for stuff throughout the next week just in case but then if they do call you back then you can just accept the job and yeah, get that cash monies.
  25. Yes it has been, thank you all involved!
