  1. Except fan opinion is VERY divided, with some saying it's great or the best in the series (I don't agree with this; I think it's IV or VIII) and some saying it's terrible and killed the franchise. I'm of the opinion that it's simply very good.
  2. Persona 4 had THE worst characterization in the series. Seriously, if not for the interesting characters that were Naoto and Kanji, I wouldn't care about the party at all. Yosuke is a less interesting Junpei. There, I said it. MinatoxMitsuru is the best pairing in Persona 3, hands down. I like the FeMC and the MC equally from P3P (GASP) Persona 2 is easily the best of the Persona series (IS and EP together) The original Shin Megami Tensei is still the best in the series, with II in a close second place. I think Nintendo is a little too loved and it's not cool that they can get away with bad buisness practices because they're 'Nintendo'. Steam is literally just DRM with good sales every once in a while. Spec Ops: The Line is the only thing that makes the shooter genre good. Twilight Princess is the best game in the series. I'm not even the biggest fan of Zelda (especially Ocarina of Time, I don't think it's that good) but Midna's characterization and the risks they took with this game being Teen are pretty commendable. Final Fantasy X and X-2 are really good in my opion. Going along with that, I think VIII has the best story in the entire FInal Fantasy series. Phew, I apologize for the rant.
  3. I do it depending on the quality. If the sub is better, I watch that. But like in the case of Black Lagoon, the dub is AMAZING, and I watch that instead.
  4. That's really sad! I hope everyone is doing well (especially the boyfriend) and I wish you the best of luck in this hard time.
  5. Nah, it's okay. Judgement is pretty cool, and I've kind of gotten his charachter mapped out. Besides, I haven't been accepted yet!
  6. (EMPRESS IS TAKEN DANGIT) Name: Hahaoya 'HaHa' Kawano Age: 18 Gender: Male Personality: Domineering and slightly cold, but awkward and lovable at heart, as well as logical and rational while maintaining fairness. He's also very high-minded and selfish however. Fiercely protective of his friends and very judemental, tending to believe that whatever he does is right, while being very insecure and indecisive. Kind of annoying. Very feminine looking and what you could call 'shy or submissive' when in a relationship. Appearance: Bio: Born in a household with no love, Hahaoya was raised cold and unemotional until he took in a dog. When his parents found out, they sent the dog away. He began changing after that, getting into some occult stuff. He awakened his persona one night during the dark hour and believed it to be a gift to help save the world. However this allowed him to cover up his insecurity with a massive superiority complex. With Hahaoya moody and getting into trouble often, he was sent away to another school to be straightened out by his parents. Arcana: Judgement Persona: Osiris Persona!
  7. FLCL if you like that kind of humor.
  8. Steam isn't that great. There, I said it. They're DRM in a more transparent way.
  9. Usually as good as the original, and I'm glad they usually keep the option to use the original.
  10. And then they make Yuna a doormat again, Tidus an immature asshole again, and it's like Final Fantasy X or its character development never even existed. I know the story. cough Advent Children cough
  11. Duke Nukem Forever is the best game ever made. Period.
  12. I think that was the point actually. The Blades were almost extinct from Oblivion, right? I think they were supposed to be portrayed as broken, bitter and irrational. It hammers home what happened to such an influential group.
  13. I'm gonna be that guy. I think a lot of the 'this is how you don't play' videos also make some really nasty remarks towards DSP, attacks that aren't warranted. Yeah, he's a jerk that blames games for his failures, but there's no need to say 'he needs to lose wight' or anything like that. It's just plain rude. And don't even get me started on the just mean spirited video that was the 'this is how you don't play persona 4 arena'.
  14. The thing is no one takes phone or tablet gaming seriously because no one takes apps seriously as games. It's starting to change because of the full, remastered games being released for it, but most of the apps on that list are fads that aren't really games at all. They're time wasters for people when they're sitting around doing nothing.
  15. Eh. It's one of those mixed blessings. There's a lot of good that comes from developing for phones, mostly the fact that it's now accessible for a lot of people. Then there's in-app purchasing. We already have DLC and that sucked, so come on.
  16. I'm not saying anything definite, I'm just saying I definitely get a different vibe from this site than when I was active like 6-8 months ago.
  17. It makes me sad because I've noticed I come on a lot less. I think it's mostly cause I get just this feeling of hostility, you know? IDK, it just doesn't seem the same as say, a year ago.
  18. I seem to be noticing a trend of nastiness in this forum lately. That makes me a sad Ethan.
  19. Thanks for considering it!
  20. The Mt. Everest one or Space Mountain
  21. Death of the Stars The year is 2101. The humans on earth have perfected space travel and have conquered most of the galaxy. The newly formed ‘Republic of Earth and Its Territories’ has seen considerable influence, especially under its flagship planet territory, New Haven. Since Earth has spread its influence, Earth itself has started to die and the leaders of Earth decided they would move the entire population of Earth to New Haven. Before this could happen, however, New Haven destroyed the Army fleet above it and declared independence from Earth, before moving on and capturing much of the area. Earth promptly declared war on New Haven and both sides have begun to train troops. Both sides declared they would draft anyone ages 16 and up. A few skirmishes happened, until New Haven forces attack the planet Gamma 152 and took over the shipyards. Now desperate, Earth forces have built an academy above the planet to train new recruits with their new technology (which New Haven also has) called GMTs, or ‘guided mech teams’ with special recruits made trained just for the pilots of these mechs to be sent on special missions for both sides. Since these mechs were rushed into production, no one is sure how safe they are or what the consequences of using them are. Each side is only sure that they will be useful in the war. There are normal combat ships as well. Who will win this war, which will undoubtedly bring destruction on the galaxy no matter what? Only time will tell. *** This is a mech/sci-fi Roleplay where most of anyone who signs up gets to choose what happens in the story (choosing the battles, etc.) and the end result based on who wins. Obviously there are a few rules to go along with this roleplay. *No godmodding. *This is war, so swearing is going to happen, just no f-bombs, okay? *Romance must be PG-13. *Otherwise, just follow the basic KH13 rules. *Be nice and have fun! Template Name: Age: Gender: Height/Weight: Side: Mech?(if so, tell me about it): Appearance: Personality: Likes/Dislikes: Goal (what do you want to accomplish?): *** Whew, it’s been a lond time since I’ve tried to start a roleplay. I’ll see how this one goes and if enough people show interest, I’ll post my bio. Once again, thanks if you even took time to read all the way through to here and I hope you have fun if you decide to sign up!
  22. Hey man don't rag on Persona 2. I loved it. (Persona 1 can die in a hole though).
