Editors are an irritating but necessary part of the system. As a writer its tempting to get too attached to your project to change it significantly. They're the ones that make sure that writers are on the ground and stay there. Otherwise you get M. Night Shyamalan.

Ah-Hrm...*points to NeoGeo*. I admittedly come from a fairly affluent family, so I may just not notice.. But several of the other osters have a point. Game budgets increase FAR faster than the market itself does. If they weren't so wretchedly expensive they wouldn't make enough profit to make another game.

I would say to give them the benefit of the doubt, but my Mom has actually played through most of it. Drugged. And never playing a 3D game before. The only people I could imagine having a lot of trouble at this point are people too young to read or people too old to take the stress on their hands.
