I'm only ever okay with being evil after I've done a good playthrough of a game. I count the good as canon and the evil as an alternate universe. In games where you have to be evil I just don't do it. In the Kingdom Hearts games there are certain times where I feel really guilty but I push through because I've got a feeling that Square will make a loop hole to make just about everyone who matters happy in the end.

Knight Chronicles: Gigas Awakening
Not-with-a-whimper replied to Not-with-a-whimper's topic in Roleplaying
After Brutus had finished puking his guts out, the three of them were taken to see the King once more. Seeing as how Brutus was sick and Gen seemed uncomfortable, Joseph decided to share everything that had happened. At first he thought to make Gen and himself appear more heroic, but eventually decided against it. He was going to try the whole "honesty" thing out for a bit and see what he thought. The King looked relieved to hear of the trio's victory and the discovery of the Knight, but he seemed troubled by the fact that they hadn't been able to take the Magi alive due to the Gigas taking his soul from extended exposure. Joseph understood his concern. If they'd been able to capture him then they might be able to get more info on the rest of his organization. "Thank you all so very much for your assistance in this matter. There is nothing more I'd like to say right now than that the three of you had taken down the biggest threat the kingdom has seen in a while, but unfortunately matters appear to only be getting worse. Most of the other great kingdoms and cities experienced an attack much like our own, though with far greater losses. The one Magi member we managed to capture was uncooperative and managed to swallow some cyanide, effectively keeping us from learning his secrets. The only thing he said before passing was that the "Gigas Gate's seal will have been released by the true king," even though he admitted that they had failed their part of the mission. Our scholars have poured over all of the ancient texts we have available and have found evidence of the Gigas Gate to which he was referring. Evidently, in a time long before their war with Yshrenia, the Athwani people used their special sealing magic to lock away the Gigas in another dimension. To unlock the Gate would require a massive blood sacrifice, one of the likes which happened just recently across our world. If all of this is right, then the blood has just begun to flow. Gigas will now be allowed to freely wander our world, bringing untold catastrophe. Worst of all, we have suspicion that the "true king" to which he was referring is or has access to one of the five Knights of Yshrenian legend. We had the armor of the "King" stored away under our castle but without the Ark until just a few months ago when it seemingly vanished. While my soldiers work to maintain order and eliminate threats here and in neighboring countries, I'm afraid that I'll have to ask of you your time and assistance in taking care of this problem. I know that it is not in my rights to force you into this position, but as the owners of a Knight as well as considerable experience and combat prowess, I believe that you three will be able to do more good than you realize. There was also an ancient prophesy found, from back in a time in which prophesies were the stuff of truth and not just the bablings of a crazed person, which states that three unlikely heroes would discover the Knights of old and unite against the Gigas and the Corrupted ones, by this we think they are referring to other Knights, and lock them on the other side of eternity, working with an Athwanian to seal the gate once more. I am not saying that the three of you are the heroes of prophesy and I am not forcing you to do anything more than the considerable amount you have accomplished so far. What ever your choice, you will still be given your earnings in gold or favors, if you'd prefer. I would ask that you consider the people before jumping to any hasty decisions, however." -
(Okay, now we've just got to wait for Number XV and Damion Strife so we can continue the story. )

(Rixku, this isn't a big deal, but please attempt to use proper punctuation. It just makes it slightly difficult to understand what you're trying to say otherwise. Thank you, and I'm really not trying to be rude. I'm terribly sorry if it comes across that way.)

Alex*Sora*89 is joining the fray!
Not-with-a-whimper replied to Alex*Sora*89's topic in General Discussion
Welcome to the site, fellow kingdom hearts fanatic. I personally keep finding myself drifting away from the series a little, then getting super pumped up any time a new bit of news pops up. -
(So, just to check, Mariah is currently riding on Zodiark with August and James, now back under Sephiroth's control, is flying away? Does this mean that the meteor is gone or just that it isn't being accelerated?)

Pokemon Black and White 2...seriously?!
Not-with-a-whimper replied to Keyblade King 12's topic in General Discussion
If it's a sequel, cool. If it's a remake, lame. -
Zodiark shot up from the cover of the clouds and shot a blast of energy horizontally at James before dropping below him to try and ready itself to catch Mariah if need be. August used Vaan's abilities to summon a shot gun and began trying to blast James, but he immediately realized how bad of an idea that was, especially considering the toll summoning Zodiark had taken on his energy levels. August could only press forward at this point, conscious that James would take advantage of any perceived weakness. Vaan took note that James stopped for a moment, but didn't have the opportunity to think about it much. There was the world to save, after all. Both August and Vaan had made up their minds, however, that if worst were to come to worst, that they would attempt to use Zodiark to destroy or at least buffer the damage from the meteor. This would require that they ride on Zodiark all the way there, as the Esper couldn't go far from it's summoner, but they both knew that the lives of the many were well worth the sacrifice.

Oh dear god this is amazing! I nearly died from laughter. I approve of this whole heartedly. I'm not British, but I certainly wish I was.
-
Falling and falling and falling. Strangely, August wasn't panicked. He'd let Vaan take complete control of his body, and was simply enjoying the breeze on his face. Vaan, on the other hand, seemed a little more stressed than usual. After yet another failed attempt, Vaan was just about ready to give up, the ground quickly approaching. "Come on!" he shouted through August's body, and with a final burst of energy, he summoned forth a beast far greater than he had hoped for. Landing on it's back, he began to rise once again rapidly. Maybe with this they had a chance of winning. With a smirk on his face Vaan and August thought together, "Let's see how he likes Zodiark!" (Again, if anyone has any objections then feel free to voice them and I will edit accordingly.)

Knight Chronicles: Gigas Awakening
Not-with-a-whimper replied to Not-with-a-whimper's topic in Roleplaying
(OOC: Just making sure everyone was in agreement.) Joseph looked up and saw the walls outside of the great city coming up quick. As he approached the guards who stood waiting, he told them that the three of them had managed to defeat the Magi, but that unfortunately not before the Gigas had consumed his soul. The guards nodded solemnly before gesturing for the trio to follow them into the city. Balandor seemed as bright and cheerful as ever, but Joseph could feel that something was off. There was a great darkness rising, but it was hidden, even from his magic. Whatever it was, only the guards and a select few other people knew about it. It was a good thing, too, because whatever it was, it was powerful. -
Naruto Shippuden the Movie VI.
Not-with-a-whimper replied to Iamkingdomhearts1000's topic in General Discussion
Umm... that isn't ever gonna happen. Just sayin'. I don't really know what it should be about. I'm happy with the manga and how it's going so far, so I don't really need a movie right now. I really wish that mangafox.com still had it though. Now I can't keep up with the story! -
What do you think of the new Drop Gauge mechanic?
Not-with-a-whimper replied to Sora96's topic in Poll of the Week
I find it really interesting, but sometimes I might really want to play as Riku, or really want to do something as Sora, and it's a little annoying that I can't just do that. I'd have to try it out to know what I think about it. -
Knight Chronicles: Gigas Awakening
Not-with-a-whimper replied to Not-with-a-whimper's topic in Roleplaying
(OOC: Quick poll. Should we fight anything major on the plains or just get right to Balandor?) -
(I'm confused as to why there's a brand new character at the very end of the story, but I guess I'll just roll with it. To Iamkingdomhearts1000, what Damion was basically saying is that if you're a good guy in this RP then you can feel free to join one of the training groups. If you're a bad guy then feel free to start a fight or whatever, but be prepared to get your but handed to you, because the characters are pretty dang strong at this point.) Anfang and Taylor took off with Goku and the others to go train. Finally he might be able to do some good and be really useful in a fight. It wasn't that he wanted to hurt anyone, it's just that he needed to be able to protect those closest to him.

Seeing the situation suddenly get tense, August hung up from trying to call Victoria and asked Vaan if there was any way that they could get out there and help without, you know, dying. "Well, I used to be able to summon Adrammelech, an Esper who could fly, but I don't know if we can do that here." August, being more bold than he ever had before, shouted "Well it's about time we found out!" and jumped out of the plane in hopes that this crazy plan would work. He knew that if he didn't do something then the world was basically screwed anyway, so why not?

The Rise of Heroes: Clash of Nations

No probs. Also, just so Echo knows, he's not kidding about his next RP being great. I've talked with him about it and I'm impressed. -
Knight Chronicles: Gigas Awakening
Not-with-a-whimper replied to Not-with-a-whimper's topic in Roleplaying
Joseph looked at the wobbly Brutus and wondered how much help he'd be in a fight in that state. Ah, well. With all of the magic he had been using lately, and the close combat he'd found himself in, Joseph felt rather confident, glad that his skills were returning to him. Sure, it'd only been a few months he'd gone without them, but when it comes to magic and the like, one always needs to stay in top form. Joseph followed after him, quickly dispatching the small enemies that dared come his way. Balandor would be... eventful. Joseph was definitely looking forward to it. -
Again, I understand all of the hate, but I'm pretty sure that it won't suck quite that bad. Sure, it might still suck, but not near to the extent the two mentioned movies did. M. Night "Sham"alon isn't in charge of ruining this one. Will everyone love it? Hecks no, but it might be passable. I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'm not throwing stones just yet either.
-
Anfang jerked around and had the same reaction. "Answer carefully or you're getting a Masenko to the face. No jokes." Anfang was a fun loving guy, but he hated surprises. Especially the kind that talked.
-
Okay, I understand your apprehension, and I'm a little worried myself, but something you must understand is that M. Night Shamalyan was in charge of both the DBZ movie and The Last Airbender. He royally messed things up. In fact, he never saw a single episode of The Last Airbender, and butchered everything we know and love about DBZ. Peter Segal and Dan Mazeau should do a better job, but I'm still not sure they'll do it justice.

KH3D I was thinking...
Not-with-a-whimper replied to Blue Rhapsody's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I don't know that we'll have action outside of it, per say, but I'm pretty dang sure that there will be important things going on in the Realm of Light that we'll get to see within the game. When Sora and Riku exit (assuming they both do, of course, which is an entirely different topic) I have a feeling that they'll be entering a whole new situation. After that comes KH3. BBS Volume 2 might jump in between them, though, if that's even going to be a thing. -

Knight Chronicles: Gigas Awakening
Not-with-a-whimper replied to Not-with-a-whimper's topic in Roleplaying
Grumbling as the rising sun struck his eye lids, Joseph headed out of the living room, got changed and ready in the restroom, and headed out the door to meet a lightly drinking Brutus outside. Joseph was surprised that he didn't see Gen out there already. It wasn't that she seemed like a morning person, it was just that she seemed as though she was always wanting to leave where ever she was to go somewhere else. He guessed that a hard day yesterday, coupled with a night of fitful sleep, if any, was responsible for her comparatively late morning. The enchanted Ark helmet looked right at home on Brutus's head, and Joseph was surprised to note that he was having a hard time picturing him without it. Once again, thoughts of the Knights sprung to his head, but he pushed them aside for now, knowing that it was useless until he gathered more information.
