first i learned it by myself, then i was teached by my boyfriend and friends, then i changed french for japanese in high school as my 5th language. you will be fine even if you donot know japanese because you will become able to speak it step by step in japan! it took me around 6 months to be able to talk and now 6 years passed. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png i am N2 at the moment but i never was like i am studing japanese .. more like i hear it and memorize it (^__-) i am more a natural learning typ! if you want to become used to the speaking speed then start watching dramas because dramas are more real-life related than anime (and anime language!) for the beginning katakana and hiragana re enough! then step by step kanji ... for speaking japanese you donot need the kanji... the grammar is rather unusual for not asian people so you might learn it to get used to it! try this site http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/grammar do you know in which city you will do your exchange? you're welcome ^_- (you can write me a pm if you want)

i agree with you. but 1. he says はじめに選ばれたのはお前だ。what means "you are the one who was choosen from/at the beginning" and not "I choose you from the very beginning" 2. Therefore we donot know if he says it to riku. there is no riku in the picture and he is not mentioned in the sentence... for the rest yeah as i said i think you are pretty close. moreover the setting is the releam of sleep .. maybe he donot even have to gain his body back etc ...
