Master Xehanort, for both the right and the wrong reasons... Right: Doing more Hate Sink things than anyone else in the franchise so far, etc. Wrong: Being a Black Hole Sue responsible for most of the infamous plotholes, being little more than a male Maleficent instead of the fallen Well-Intentioned Extremist he's shilled as, etc.
I liked GT, too.
I haven't even clicked on the video yet, and I'm already LOLing at the title alone.
Say what you will about Dragon Ball GT... At least it was better than Super.
Armored Ventus Nightmare in DDD. I'd have the Armor sometimes resist the Nightmare and give Riku an opening for a Reaction or something (thus making it feel like Ven's intervention actually accomplished something besides just turning the Nightmare into Iron Man).
For example, if I could program Luxord differently, I'd have one of his "penalties" be something like Stopga -- to fit his element (Time).
I've had several dreams where the release date was finally announced. At least we know it's sometime this year.
Hence the aforementioned "dirt-poor job of actually showing it."
Well, given this franchise's preachiness about Dark Is Not Evil (despite doing a dirt-poor job of actually showing it)...
Master Xehanort in his Reports = basically Ansem The Wise with a Keyblade. Master Xehanort onscreen = basically Maleficent with a Keyblade.

If only they didn't feel like they written by a completely different character.
I'm pretty anti-MX in terms of story. In terms of gameplay, however? You hit the nail on the head.
The only climate change that exists... is winter-spring-summer-fall. I especially like Zexion's gimmick there (i.e., "He's an invincible god in his book dimension, so you have to beat him on the real field").
Particularly if you've read the BBS novels. In the end, even he's a victim of the self-righteous old man, too.
According to DDD, the Nobody names came from Xemnas subconsciously trying to mark the Organization as vessels. Hence why Braig and Isa, despite returning as Somebodies, still use their Nobody names ("Xigbar" and "Saix"); they didn't fail the vessel criteria. So even if it's a restored Lauriam, keeping the name "Marluxia" would mark him as one of Team Xehanort.
Vanitas was kind of a given, but Marluxia was kind of a curveball.
