  1. She appears at the end and grumpily tells Sora that she's been waiting for him for dinner since KH1 almost 16 years ago.
  2. Further to SoraDaxjer28's point, E3 would be the best time to drop an English trailer to get the rest of the world even more hyped for the game's release, as we are gonna also finally get release details of the game at the convention. But it's hard to say whether voice acting is complete per se at this stage. Since games have become so iterative in production, I wouldn't be surprised if they had voice actors come in last minute to add or touch up voice clips, with presumably the large budget the game might have. This would be provided that the game releases in Q4 this year, giving them from now until then to finalize voice clips and match lip syncing and subtitles. Here's to them dropping a surprise bomb for a summer/early fall release date, in which case, the voice acting probably will have to have been completed already.
  3. My guess for a Kingdom Hearts 3 Final Mix is, similarly to how there's the Royal Edition of FFXV now, the KH3FM will be a bundle of the game plus all the DLCs. Just a hunch since thats essentially what the FMs were. This list for voting I feel is more of a list I want to happen in the next few years lol. Hopefully the time between KH3 and KH4 isnt gonna be another 23894892370174 years
  4. i've been following Utada Hikaru actually since I first heard Sanctuary, and after her hiatus for almost 6 years, I was losing hope she'd be involved at all with the KH franchise given all the copyright issues she faced on S&C / Sanctuary with Disney, so I'm glad she was invited to make the 3rd theme. But seeing her music evolve over the years, I can't say I dislike Don't Think Twice / Chikai given the direction of her music currently, which has involved a fusion of rock, jazz and r&b added with a touch of progressiveness. I think people just need to wait til they hear the full version of Don't Think Twice / Chikai to make a full judgement because her last few singles have had surprising twists, evolving in sound as you listen to the tracks. "Oozora de Dakishime te (大空で抱きしめて)" is a perfect example, going from a gentle synthy pop to a song with a heavy bass and beat. Same with "Anata (あなた)" being a jazz-R&B fusion. In comparing with S&C and Sanctuary, her music style's changed dramatically over the themes. Hikari / S&C was during her initial experimental phase, when she started to get out of her R&B roots and into a more experimental pop genre. Passion / Sanctuary was probably during her phase of highest production (ULTRA BLUE), an extension of the album that gave us Hikari (DEEP RIVER), getting into a synth-rock-dance fusion. Her latest genres have been in rock, jazz and R&B, and have included more live-played instruments vs. synthesized sounds as heard in Hikari and Passion, so her style's a bit more raw now too imo, lending to the simplicity of what we've heard so far of Don't Think Twice and Chikai.
  5. I voted Yoda but would love to see some love for less popular Disney characters, like Oswald or characters from Meet the Robinsons or Atlantis or Emperor's New Groove seeing as Links would be the only way to bring them without direct relevance to the story.
  6. Ahh this is making me regret not investing in the Bring Arts series... where's the Play Arts Kai version of this? Hope they're not phasing out the Play Arts Kai series. Too many amazing figures lol
  7. really curious about what this "incredible" something is. I wonder if, by him saying it's a "culmination of the past" that it actually has to do with Final Fantasy - maybe a Final Fantasy-esque world? I don't think we've actually gotten a world that is from any of the Final Fantasy games yet. But I feel like it's probably something "more incredible" than a world - or maybe I'm just overhyping it for myself lol And random tangent, I was just thinking of secret bosses and was the link on Julius ever revealed? The image of the Giant reminded me of him lol
  8. my only hope is that they don't drop a release date with multiple editions and have the sale go on right after like they did FFXV. FFXV's initial preorders were so poorly handled, those UCEs just vanished in seconds... yet that was prly SE's best UCE to date. I am almost 99.9% sure theyre gonna release multiple editions of KH3 given the almost equal in length hype to FFXV that KH3 has had. but this is all provided we even get a confirmed release date aside from "2018" lol
  9. I said this in the KH subreddit before, but I definitely think the story of Coco would have fit with the current KH story. The significance of "Remember Me" in the Coco story (so as to not spoil the movie) would have went really well with getting Sora and co to "remember" the BBS trio in their fight against Xehanort. For example, a Coco world would have worked in either Coded or DDD imo in the context of the Xehanort Saga where Sora would have had to travel to the Land of the Dead and reconnect characters to influence the real world. But even the imagery of the Land of the Dead would make it an awesome KH world to explore in general. Even the concept of the Land of the Dead could be drawn as a parallel to what Kingdom Hearts is, so I'd say it's almost fail-proof in finding a connection to the KH story overall.
  10. I see your points and I do agree them, and that no one is forced to buy anything at the end of the day. I just hope it's not an attempt to lure fans to buy the game again, which is the main reason for my concern and thought on the collection being insincere. If the box collection's only intention is to get newcomers to join on the franchise, then yeah, I agree with what you said. But knowing SE, there will always be some incentive to make existing fans buy the game again, which makes it a bit of a pure money grab. They know that we as fans want KH3 and theyre basically capitalizing on this want, but with re-releasing existing products, for which this idea I find insincere. That being said, this is an assumption that I'm making on SE doing this, as we have no official marketing material for this box release yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if this were to happen.
  11. I'm gonna be the one to spew out an overly negative comment and say this is just ridiculous. How many times more are they going to make us buy the same games? And if they do consider making this a Collector's Edition, I hope they take a page from the FFXV CE (except for the incredibly low number of units they made of it) or the JP version of the PS3 KH 1.5 and 2.5 ReMIX collection. Those are CEs worth collecting imo. I would only slightly consider this bundle if 1) it came out on a different platform, like the Nintendo Switch - releasing it on this platform would offer a fairly different gameplay experience via on-the-go gameplay vs. gameplay only in front of a large screen plugged into a wall. Or 2) if it was packaged with KH3. Otherwise, there's nothing in it that's new for existing fans... My suspicion is that it's probably cheaper for SE to produce the game as one bundle in one box vs. separate SKUs for each of 1.5+2.5 and 2.8. Added to the holiday season approaching and wanting to cash in before KH3 comes out. These points just make this release seem a bit insincere, especially to existing fans...
  12. I'm hoping they'll also bring these alternate forms to the Play Arts Kai line, which is more expensive, but I just don't wanna start investing in another line of figures and rather would keep to the same line... About the Second Form tho, in truth, I still like the colours on the Second Form / KH2 outfit more than I do the main KH3 outfit. The streamlining to red just seems off after having seen how colourful Sora's outfit could be from KH1 and especially KH2 with all the forms lol...
  13. Of course Sora's mom! The last we heard from her was when she called Sora for dinner before the Destiny Islands fell to darkness in KH1. We still don't even know the fate of her existence! She needs to get rid of Xehanort once and for all so Sora can have dinner.
  14. I think the question at this stage regarding KH 1.5+2.5 should be more of if they'll release it on the Switch (no offense to Xbox players) as a follow up to if they'll release KH3 on the Switch. It'd be like a dream come true to play KH on-the-go and the Switch is honestly the perfect medium to fulfill that. Having it on-the-go I'd say is a more different experience that so far neither the PS4 or XBox One can offer.
  15. best of both worlds - a new world reveal and a "more accurate" release window. I wish they pressed Nomura more for when the next announcement would be - presumably any of the game shows coming up later in the year. but HOLY SH*T cant believe they finally brought Toy Story to KH, since KH2 as Nomura said. I wonder how far down the street you can go hahaa they're really taking the larger maps to a whole new level.
  16. I'm really hoping it's a remake of Red and Blue, or FireRed and LeafGreen, ideally for the Switch. With Switch's capability, they can do so much more with the graphics to update those 2 games - added to the increased complexity of the game mechanics since FireRed / LeafGreen. There was also so much allusion to these games from Sun and Moon, which I'm hoping is something more than just the fact that those games were released on Pokemon's 20th anniversary. Technically, we are also traversing unchartered territory when it comes to remakes, since the next games in line after Ruby and Sapphire are technically FireRed and LeafGreen before Diamond and Pearl. That being said, I also wouldn't mind if it was a remake of Diamond and Pearl.
  17. For anyone interested in purchasing the album outside of the JP Square Enix e-Store, you can now preorder the album on other online JP stores that ship overseas like CDJapan and Amazon JP. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/SQEX-10598 https://www.amazon.co.jp/KINGDOM-HEARTS-Concert-First-Breath/dp/B071PC418M/
  18. Interesting that they chose SH Figuarts to create new KH figures, I suppose this acts as a "cheaper" alternative to the Play Arts Kai figures coming from another Japanese manufacturer vs. the ones we saw earlier coming from a North American manufacturer (i think?).
  19. All JP albums are of that price range - albums usually range from 2000 yen upwards, some of which can go to 10,000 yen plus. Singles are usually from 1000 yen over. Im curious to see the difference between this album and the World Tour Concert album, since both are played by orchestras, so it would come down to if there was any difference in arrangement of the songs and choices of songs in the track list.
  20. FYI to anyone considering to buy this from the JP Square Enix e-Store and don't already know this - you need a Japanese credit card and a Japanese address to buy. Foreign credit cards will not work and they do not ship overseas.
  21. once again, NA gets the short end of the stick... as i said before, even a postcard with a recycled piece of art on thick paper would suffice over the lousy pin we're getting. I always feel like the meetings they have to determine who gets what is like them playing poker in a back room or smtg and clearly, our NA rep lost big time lol
  22. Welcome to the world of physical releases for Japanese music where albums typically cost 3,000 yen. That is actually a standard price for a Japanese album. The price of our North American CDs can afford us a physical single release at regular price. Meh, I just got it through Buyee auctions for a bit of a premium, but it'll prly come out the same if I got the album via a buying service, since the SE store in Japan only takes Japanese credit cards so I wouldn't have any luck getting it at regular price anyways. Based on the previews I heard the other day, this album is a beautiful listen. I wish the tour went to more North American stops though...
  23. This comment's prly been overposted but I wish Dearly Beloved played as the menu BGM, been wishing for that pretty much since they provided themes for KH... is the cost to the rights of that song really thaaaaaaat expensive that they can't include it in a theme? (assuming that's the reason why that can't include it...) This is unfortunately the way DLCs have gone in Japan in terms of incentivizing sources to buy the game, so for this to finally happen in NA and EU is unsurprising. Although the theme looks nice, don't think it's gonna phase me from cancelling my preorder and going for this one.
  24. Here's to hoping they'll include both Keyblades with the figure lol. Or maybe it's a sign that they're going to do a BBS line and have Terra and Ven too *dreams*
  25. With this box art reveal, I have a strong feeling the primary target of this game compilation in Japan isnt newcomers but existing KH fans who either have been on board since Day 1 or dropped somewhere in the series through the console switches. Even the bonus of a box to hold both PS4 games is a sign that they are rewarding those who are already on board. The NA and EU box arts are catered more towards an audience perhaps that has no idea about the series. Imo, i like the JP art better cuz its just classier. Slapping both existing artworks on the cover is a bit of a tacky / desperate attempt to catch people's attention and, in a way, paints a picture of the game being "recycled" material, or a "greatest hits" version.
