  1. OMG STOP! I know this is a bit off-topic, but I took singing lessons for around three years (combined, not consecutive...well two years were consecutive, the rest was all over the place) and I've been taking piano for like a year and a half! What a coincidence Anyways, we'll get to hear the full song later this month. Perhaps people who don't like the song will change their minds then. I think it'll live up to our expectations.
  2. I agree. KH2's Sanctuary was pretty dramatic as well, it would be weird to go back to an uplifting dance remix for the opening of KHIII. They could use an orchestral version but I personally wouldn't like that.
  3. From what I'm hearing, she's a much better vocalist now then before. Her airy notes lacked stability and she didn't have as much control as she does now. For example, her riffs and runs in "Anata" are much clearer than in "FINAL DISTANCE". Also, her voice sounds more supported nowadays so she might've decided to switch her airy sound for a more supported sound. If you listen to this song here (Hatsukoi), you'll notice that her head voice sounds much fuller than in the "Hold me, whatever lies beyond this morning" part of "Simple and Clean" for example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGJK1IKIvrI That's definitely intentional. If she wanted she could let more air into her voice (which she does when she sings "I need you" around 0:43) but she probably wanted a fuller, more supported sound. She also sings in her lower register more than before so maybe that throws people off. Of course, greater technique doesn't necessarily lead to greater sound, so it's totally normal for some people to like her older vocal style more. Personally, I prefer the way she sings now. I don't think the reasons for the changes in her vocals are purely stylistic though. It's been almost 20 years since "Automatic". Her voice naturally matured. From what I've heard, people were thrown off by the beat of the song (because it's a slow ballad and it's in 3/4 time signature) and not by her voice. In fact, I've only heard positive things about her vocals. I think the song is going to be remixed for the opening but I wouldn't mind if they used the original version and tried something more dramatic or solemn for the opening. It is the final chapter after all. PS: I'm a bit of a singer myself or at least I try to be (lol) so I get really excited about this stuff! Sorry. Can't wait to hear her album, I'm loving every song she's teased so far.
  4. Square Enix Presents is going to have a KH3 focused segment later today. All we know is that they’ll be playing the demo. I’m hoping they interview Nomura while they play the demo.
  5. 15:00 PT, so 18:00 ET
  6. Dang it. I’m gonna miss the KHIII feature tonight T.T
  7. Tbh, I initially thought it was the hill in Daybreak Town but it doesn't look like it's daybreak so...
  8. It depends where on Sunset Hill though... It doesn't look like the "balcony" area where you can see the train. But there are other hills around the area. Perhaps this is one of them?
  9. Could Kairi and Lea be on Sunset Hill in the most recent trailer? If so, that would mean that they're in Twilight Town and that we probably play as either one of them during the tutorial section.
  10. Gamestop in Canada is EB Games.
  11. Cool, preordered my copy last year after the Toy Story reveal trailer but they haven't announced any bonuses at EB Games yet...
  12. What edition?
  13. Just playing I love everything Disney. From Disney Princesses to Avengers
  14. Multiplayer mode as DLC please Also, there are more world reveals coming! I thought we were done for Disney worlds! Also, bigger surprises than Aquanort...He wants to kill us. All of this is very exciting. Btw, this pretty much confirms that was the real Aqua and not some phantom or imagination figment thing.
  15. Perhaps that’s just how characters will look in whatever world they’re in. As we’ve seen with “The Caribbean”, the graphical quality/style of the game can change drastically depending on the world.
  16. Yeah I keep telling myself that compared to the CG in 0.2, it isn’t as detailed, but then again, compared to the other KHIII scenes, it’s much cleaner. Like MUCH CLEANER.
  17. I'm confused...Is the Kairi/Axel/Lea scene CG or Real-time?
  18. That's true. I honestly forgot about them lol
  19. Do I feel like KH is intentionally promoting racism? No. But the whole concept is still inappropriate.
  20. I grew up playing Kingdom Hearts, it’s important to me and pointing out that I have issues with some of its elements doesn’t mean I should stop playing. It’s not a black and white situation (no pun intended lol). I know that Japanese people aren’t as racially conscious as North Americans. They don’t share the same history as us and they’re from a very homogeneous country so stuff like this is bound to happen. I’m just pointing out a problem.
  21. I don’t wanna hate on the series, it’s one of my favorite series ever. But as a black person, I can’t help but feel some type of way about this.
  22. No, that’s totally different. Shadows and Neo Heartless are not people. They don’t look human. Ansem, Xemnas, DiZ and Terranort do. I don’t see how you guys can defend this. It just isn’t right. For centuries darker people have been vilified and demonized because of their skin color and even if it’s not intentional, Kingdom Hearts is perpetuating that ideology.
  23. I don’t know why I put darker in between quotation marks lol
