Earlier this year, Kingdom Hearts music was confirmed to be played during the BBC Proms on August 1st, 2022, alongside several other video game franchise songs, such as from Final Fantasy VIII and The Legend of Zelda. Recently, the audio performances have been made publically listenable online, and the Kingdom Hearts tracks have been given their own section. At 49:35, an orchestral rendition of the iconic "Hikari" can be listened to. What are your thoughts on this excellent Kingdom Hearts tribute and the other video game-dedicated performances that took place?

Okay so I was listening to a lot of Utada's older work recently and it finally clicked. The reason people don't like the new song as much isn't the song itself, a lot of it just has to do with Utada's new vocal direction. Instead of light and breathy with lots of high notes and emotion, her style is a lot darker and more mature. She sounds like a totally different singer now if you compare songs like "Automatic" or "First Love" to "Don't Think Twice". If you don't believe me listen: Automatic: Compare that to another song on her latest album Anata:

Hello fellow Kingdom Hearts fans! I'm Mree, a self-producing folktronica artist. As a huge fan of the series, I recently made a cover of "Passion / Sanctuary" from Kingdom Hearts II. Forgive me, for my Japanese is less than rusty. I also did a cover of "Simple and Clean" last year. Just wanted to share these with you guys in hopes that you would enjoy  (For both videos I am arranging, playing and filming eveything myself). You can buy / stream these songs on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify too! http://kh13.com/forum/videos/view-770-passion-sanctuary-cover-by-mree/ http://kh13.com/forum/videos/view-771-simple-and-clean-cover-by-mree/ http://www.mreemusic.com http://www.facebook.com/mreemusic

A while back, I got bored so I decided to play some Kingdom Hearts music while watching the Overwatch Cinematics Trailer a few weeks ago. And it was pretty nice when those two played at once. And now, I thought why not with this

This beautiful theme (to me) right here: Reminds me of this song (in music box form): If you listen, they almost have the same rhythm. Almost. But still, these themes are music to my ears ^_^.

Found an HD version of the great orchestral performance of the songs, Dearly Beloved, Passion (vocal) and Hikari. Yes, this is the same orchestral performance the other video had but in better quality. Many people are suggesting that this version of Dearly Beloved might be used in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3. Enjoy.
