Well.. At the beginning of KH1 when he left the Island.. the Island was swalloewd by the darkness... so he didn't have any home to return to.. and he probably realized this.. then at the end when it was returned, Kairi probably told his mother everything.. But sora's mother is probably one of those who will slap him cuz he was away for too long. But he did return home at the end of KH2 so he probably told her more stuff.. She probably knows now he's a time/world travelling hero.

Disney only gained Lucasfilm last year.. Kingdom Hearts 2 was made well before Star Wars had Anything to do with DisneyOh but that would have been excellent!
