  1. It looks better than it did a few weeks ago now that they've actually shown some games, but it's still not doing it for me. I may get one eventually once the price drops and some more stuff is out for it.
  2. The PvZ stuff was looked fun, the Battlefront teaser was too short, and the trailer for Dragon Age made me want more. The rest was fine, though the only other gameplay that intrigued me was the Battlefield multiplayer. All-in-all a brisk, high energy conference that was a little too high on itself, but it didn't overstay its welcome.
  3. I thought the whole thing was a little forced, like Microsoft didn't really want to be catering to gamers anymore. The crowd was more enthusiastic, but the Xbox One still doesn't feel like a "game system" to me. Halo was a pleasant surprise, and Project Spark looked interesting. Other than that...I don't know, nothing really grabbed me. Don't get me wrong, the demos were cool. Almost nothing made me more interested than I already was, and that wasn't very much to begin with. The price is almost certainly Kinect's fault. $499 isn't shocking, but it doesn't help. I thought they would've come out with a subsidized model or something. The real problem is I didn't see anything at that conference that made me think "wow, THAT game is worth always online", nor one that made the required Kinect worth its extra price. The games for Xbox Gold members is great, and an obvious counter to PS+. It's unfortunate they're debuting the service with two of the oldest titles for the system that are also ones most 360 owners probably have already played or owned at some point. EDIT: Apparently the service is temporary, something leading up to the launch of the new system. All in all, I'd give the conference a 6.5/10. The Metal Gear stuff at the beginning looked great. Unless something changes, I'll probably be playing it on the PS4.
  4. Dawn Breaker: A keyblade that specializes in landing finishing blows, the last strike in a combo is accompanied by a brilliant flash of light.
  5. I literally only play Halo on my 360 at the moment, and haven't done so for 10 months or so. I've always been a Playstation man, and I hope they give me reason to be happy about that tomorrow at E3.
  6. It was fine, I'm pleased Square is promoting the game some.
  7. Riku was probably thinking something similar at the end of KH3D...
  8. If I got uppity at every time someone misunderstood something about Kingdom Hearts I probably would've given up on the series a long time ago....in a galaxy far far away.
  9. I pre-ordered a product, not a commodity. I preordered so I could get something I could enjoy, and I have zero intention of selling it.
  10. Sinnoh. There's a lot I like about that region, oddly enough.
  11. Hopefully the future involves walking away from Final Fantasy XIII and starting something new. I don't hate the games or anything, but 13 hasn't been Square's luckiest number.
  12. I always thought the 8gb model was an odd decision. I don't really know how much memory Wii U games take up on a hard drive, but 8gb sounds like it would fill up pretty fast.
  13. Kingdom Hearts is no longer just a series about a crossover. It has it's own tone and themes and rules in its universe; it's its own franchise now. If Disney bought DC comics, or Bioware, or any other creative company, that doesn't grant them entrance into the Kingdom Hearts franchise simply because it started as two different properties interacting. I would like to see a lot of worlds return as well. There's a lot of room for them to explore still, but only if they're allowed to wander from the movie storylines a bit.
  14. When I need to sleep, yes. It's not something I do in my spare time or anything.
  15. The Rock Titan in the original Kingdom Hearts was a colossal pushover.
  16. I don't think Sega would be giving their next Sonic game exclusively to Nintendo if they were planning on releasing a console anytime soon. Plus I don't think they have the capital to reenter the console wars at the moment.
  17. A wide number of characters in DBZ can move faster than the speed of light, blow up planets single-handedly, and shoot beams of energy whenever they so much as sneeze. I'm going to bet on Goku on this one.
  18. That, or maybe they're also interested in his new game coming to consoles too.
  19. I think Google on this list should be replaced by Valve, but that's just my opinion. Here's my take; either Sony or Microsoft will determine what a game console is in the near future. If it's hardware and software that requires the internet in some manner to function, if it's devices that connect everything together so you can talk to them through a camera/microphone, then Microsoft will have had the biggest impact. They are taking steps to rewrite what the process of gaming is; in the Microsoft, and probably EA, world, gaming is a service. You don't own the hardware, software, or any other devices. You're merely renting them, and when they decide they're useless, they'll be useless and unplayable offline. Even if Sony adopts something along these lines, Microsoft will still have taken that first step towards restricting how you play. I'd caution against rallying to Sony yet. They may be just allowing Microsoft to take the fall for policies that are soon going to be industry-wide. I certainly hope that isn't the case, but expect we'll find out at E3.
  20. As a consumer I've accepted that I'm in the minority of people that would appreciate backwards compatibility. Due to the combination of price and quantity of quality titles I've yet to play this generation, I feel no urge to jump on board with the next. not when I still have to play Red Dead Redemption, FFXIII, Borderlands, 4 God of War games, the entire Metal Gear Solid series, and many more games I simply can't remember right now. I mean, KH 1.5 reMix is going to occupy my focus for a long time too! If the console had backwards compatibility I might've been interested in upgrading sooner. I can probably wait until the first price drop of the PS4 before I spend any in the next generation.
  21. Only if for some reason I needed a pencil case and it was on a shelf in front of me, otherwise no.
  22. I saw this, and gave a mighty "meh".
  23. Sleeping Beauty springs to mind, though I think there's one or two I'm also forgetting.
