I thought it was fine, but I'm glad they've mostly abandoned it.

That's because the PS2 continued to sell well globally, so companies continued to make games for it. Even if the PS3 carries over the same kind of momentum, big developers are going to shift their resources towards making games for the most current hardware. Don't confuse 'outdated' with 'abandoned'; yes, the PS2 had plenty of games for years, but they were built on outdated hardware. It won't be any different this time around. Looking through this list I see a lot of movie tie-ins, I see a lot of sports and song games, cheaply made and easily ported. I see a lot of games that came out on both PS3 and PS2. I don't see any triple-A titles a year or two after the PS3's launch, and KHIII will be a triple-A title. I can envision it coming out on both PS3 and PS4 but it all depends on where they are in the development cycle.

That's great. I'm sure he wanted Versus XIII on the current generation of consoles too, and look how well that's been going. Assuming KHIII arrives in fall 2015, which is optimistic in my opinion. putting it out on a PS3 would mean putting out one of Square's most anticipated titles on an outdated system. If they wanted to, sure, that'd be fine with me. I'd love to have the whole saga on my PS3. But I don't think that's what's going to happen, they've waited too long.

There is an alternate reality out there where KHIII was released several years ago, and everyone is already onto the next KH saga.

It's not coming to the Xbox, and it's definitely not coming with that overload of extra stuff. The Xbox uses regular DVDs for games, and that version of 2.5 would be probably three discs simply to store it all. KHIII will never be on the 360 either. By the time that game comes out the 360 will be a wasteland in terms of new games, meaning that all Xbox games will be on the 720/Durango. KHIII will be on the new consoles, barring some unprecedented extension of the current generation's lifespan.

"The Phantom Pain...is Metal Gear Solid V!!!" said Konami. "No DUH!" said the world in response. Looks like good stuff, the new trailer is pretty awesome.

Assuming it becomes a thing, 2.5 all the way. 1.5 is going to be sweet, but 2.5 (theoretically) has: -KHII Final Mix, containing more 'new' stuff than the Final Mix of the first game, like the area where you can fight all of Organization XIII, the Mushroom XIII minigames, and that fight with Roxas that was once just a cutscene. -BBS. A console version of that game, with reworked controls for the second stick and extra buttons AND the Final Mix content, is going to be amazing. -Coded's cutscenes. Okay, so I'm less pumped about those than Days' cutscenes, but hey, it'll be there.

I can't wait until this comes out!

That sucks, man. I know how you feel about keeping the originals. Unfortunately the backwards compatible models are only available second-hand, I think they were the 20-80 gb models, recognizable by the silver trim on some of them and the smooth touch-activated buttons on the front. They're also fat. If you get an new 3DS, I'd just get the smaller one. I always thought the XL looked awkward and, well, large. But that's just a personal preference. My advice is focus on getting the PS3 first, especially if it's you're first one. There's a great backlog of titles available for cheap to keep you occupied til 1.5 comes out.

I never played the sequel to FFXIII, and so far this one isn't gripping me. I'm sure I'm not the first to say that 13 hasn't been Square's lucky number. I won't knock it before I try it, but I'm not clamoring to try it, I hope it does well and is better received than its predecessors were.

I enjoyed them, but I think I prefer the command deck systems more.

The hardest one for me was Marluxia's first stage in re:CoM, but like all of them you just need to get the rhythm down and he's fine.

I'll get 'em, but I'm not going to stress about doing it quickly.

I don't have anything against co-op or multiplayer, but I have no interest or desire to see those in a Kingdom Hearts game. Kingdom Hearts is primarily a single-player experience, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm a fan of the series. I think it's interesting how the comic, the show, and the video game all manage exist separate from each other but maintain their own quality and style. It's like seeing the same franchise in parallel universes.

Looks good, but one can only get so excited for footage that's been seen and played before.

The example I always think of is the God of War games, which transitioned fine to PS3 from PSP.

Kavanaugh fails understand that he represents a handful of people that make the transgender community more uncomfortable than they are making the rest of society. The notion that these people universally harbor pedophiles is ludicrous, only overshadowed by the idea that a Republican wants the government to dictate who can go into which bathroom! How can one possibly be more comfortable with that concept than simply letting transgenders go to the goddamn toilet!? The "law of society", as he puts it, has changed. Transgenders are citizens who deserve the same rights to privacy, liberty, and equality as any other person. If he's not comfortable with a transgender person using the bathroom next to him, you have to first wonder why he's looking to see in the first place.

If I were to summarize the trailer... During the KH and re:CoM scenes: Aww yeah, trophies, old voices, remastered graphics, final mix version let's do this! During 358/2 Days: ANGST. ANGST. AAAAAAAAAAAAAANGST. So pretty much looking forward to it!

I haven't played many, but XII is the one I've enjoyed the most.

Depends on if my system is still functioning, and what incentives they give for rebuying the games again. New version of trophies? Extra features, like commentaries, making of videos, or artwork? Or nothing at all? I'll have the games already, so they need to come up with the proper incentive. PS5 or no, I'm going to always hold onto my first copy of Kingdom Hearts for the PS2. There's some serious sentimental value with that disc, case, and manual.

Didn't surprise me. It's the start of a collection people have wanted for years now.

Sephiroth in KH1 was the toughest for me. I'm eager to try him again when 1.5 comes out in NA.

I saw this earlier, it's pretty sweet.
