    yes and no, it's harder to get payed but if you're doing it for fun then sure I guess? also if you have someone helpful as your higher up then criticism is always helpful and pushing you in the right direction. I know from my perspective I always like to have people tell me what they like/ dislike about my stuff you can have that as well if you're independent and both options have their ups and downs. Just go with it I guess
