KHCoM The Castle Oblivion Plan and Namine
Ruran replied to deathrebirthsenshi's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
'cept Namine's birth was very different. Unlike normal Nobodies who, after a Heartless is created the memories flow into the body, Namine was born directly from Sora who retained his memories as well as Kairi because she never turned into a Heartless. If Namine received any scraps of memory from Kairi and/or Sora it hasn't been led on to at all. Though I think the possibility that Namine has some darkness in her is an interesting concept. -

KHCoM The Castle Oblivion Plan and Namine
Ruran replied to deathrebirthsenshi's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
No, I don't think you're over reaching, even by KH standards Namine is a huge enigma. Even without the confirmation of how long exactly Namine had been in CO before Sora and co. arrived I new she couldn't have been there that long because CoM doesn't start that long after KH1 so that's something that's always bugged me. Also how intelligent Namine was in comparison to someone like Roxas even though she should have been like him, memory-less and zombie like. That does make me wonder what sort of experiments they had conducted since they never really went further into exploitation than saying they were "memory experiments" but we're never told what that means. Then Days went and teased Namine some more by reveling that Axel found Vexen's notes reviling the "secrets behind Namine" but then that plot point hasn't been addressed any more. It's even been subtly hinted at that Namine is an entirely new breed of being. hopefully it's something they get more into in the future and isn't left forgotten, but yeah, as it stands there're a lot of holes in Namine's backstory. -
I believe it was mentioned before that time varies from world to world so I think it's a mix between reincarnation and the princesses, not so much being "ageless" but potentially living for a long time (long time depending on what world one lives on). e.g. in KH1 we see some of the princesses that we get in BbS and it's apparent they haven't aged much between these games. It's possible that some of them have lived a very, very long time but in there respective worlds it only feels like a few years. Since she was so young in BbS Kairi's the only one that I could imagine having been reincarnated because time seems to move in line with DI's. And because she's not a "Disney character" they don't have to worry about keeping her age/appearance consistent in the same way they would have the other princesses.

Rejoice, your life is now complete~ And yeah, you'll get better pins as the game progresses.

Yes, other people could use Riku's Keyblade if it were from the RoD. Keyblades them selves aren't picky about which side wielders affiliate with, they only care if you have the right qualifications.
-
You don't actually pass the Keyblade it self down, you just give said person the ability when you undergo the ceremony with them.

Dare I ask what the first is? I resent that, I had to replace my controller that one time. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/sleep.png ...You completely lost me on that last sentence.

This is probably a big part of it. I was a teenager when I got into KH and was just young enough to see it as magical and thought it was the best shit ever. I'm now pushing twenty two and I don't feel the "magic" anymore. True, as much as I gripe about it sometimes I've never considered the series terrible as a whole. It's not that I don't see any good in it what so ever, I think it's partly after being with it for so long it's gotten tiring.
-
You don't have to be delusional to see that the series as a whole has its flaws, it all comes down to how much you're willing to ignore them or just roll with them. Or be unaware of them.

Step 1. Fill our hearts with hatred Step 2. Fill other people's hearts with hatred Step 3. ????? Step 4. Profit! I see no flaws in this plan.
-
Could it be said that KH is "so bad it's good"? Though that implies that people come for the badness of it but from my experience people either ignore its flaws or try to justify them. I'm sure some people see it that way but it doesn't seem to be the majority.

Like underwear and sex toys. With Kingdom Hearts with have this atrocity: http://necaonline.com/31829/products/collectables/headknockers/kingdom-hearts-head-knocker-sora/ But I'm still glad it exists.

I have a love hate relationship with it that's slowly turning into loving to hate it. I've been with the series for a while already, about five years give or take, and after a while you just become jaded when you realize that game after game (there where only three when I got into the series) has the strange feeling of adding things without really progressing. Now I'm just sticking with it until KH3 comes around because after I've invested so much time into the series I want to at least see the "Xehanort Chronologicals" to the end. Which is still a ways away...Someone hold me ;_;

KHBbS Ways Xehanort's plan could have unraveled, part 1: Birth by Sleep
Ruran replied to hatok's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
MX wrote in his reports that he chose Ven because he "felt they were destined to meet". The only reason MX chose Ven as a student was because he "felt right" *shudders* so he just as easily could have chosen someone else entirely -
At most, a homage, at least, a coincidence. But most of all Japan just likes their BFS. Game is called Tales of Aix Syria 2.

So no Repliku or Data! character rage?

It's beautiful! :glittery eyes: I've been wanting to do this for the longest so no work for me now. Why do I keep playing these games? I've been mad at that series for the longest. It's like a bad relationship, I know it's wrong and if I keep going back I know I'm just going to get hurt again but my co dependency doesn't let me think logically and I just think "this time I won't get punched in the face. I know he's changed!" Then I get punched in the face again.

Oh okay, I was like "something's not right here" lol.

I'll read through it but I warn you, I'm a harsh Kairi and Aqua critic. -

And bring Ven home because it's dangerous. That was a mission given to Aqua by ME because it was too dangerous for Ven to be out on his own, both because he's young and because MX and Vanitas are after him. How is letting Ven run around with mad men on the loos looking out for him? Aqua even fought Vanitas, reassuring her that it was too dangerous for Ven, and a few seconds after their first battle is finished Aqua and Ven meet again and she tells him to go home while proceeding to leave him alone. Which of course he didn't do, he went out on his own mission to find new friends. Aqua had no reason to leave Ven alone, the plot just needed her to and it's bad writing. There was a suspicion-mysterious monsters and Vanitas/a boy in a mask popped up at the same time MX disappeared. When was the "point of no returning"? The majority of the time the characters had better options, they just didn't act on them when they could have. ...What?
