I dislike grinding, and Pokémon games are really easy, especially Y and X, so I even try to avoid battles at times so my team is at a low level

I did that in my Blue playthrough. Also turned the Exp. Share in Gen VI off since that made the game really easy.

It's been a long time, so I don't remember exactly how it went in the manga. Not well enough to compare, anyway. I liked how it was done here, though.

I read the manga more or less when this last filler started in the anime, which is around September-October 2015, which isn't that long ago

I was reading the last 50-70 chapters as they came out (I was mostly caught up before then, then skipped ahead a bit since the paper copies were taking forever to come out), so it's been almost 2 years now that I think about it. I need to get all of the physical volumes so I can read through the ending at a normal pace again.

The Shantae series is great.I haven't play the first one but I beat Pirate Curse and I'm currently playing Risky's Revenge

I just got Pirate Curse. It's pretty fun so far, I'll have to pick up the other two soon.
