  1. [Disney Castle, Briefing Room. Reiner, Rei, Alexie, Milas, Ager] With most of the essential personnel gathered in the briefing room, the two formally dressed members of the group turned to face the relatively small group of specially summoned people. The lights in the room dimmed, and the pristine white circular table in the center of the room started to glow. “Good afternoon warriors,” the one in white calmly started, “For those of you who are unfamiliar with me, I’m General Schindler, Commander of the Warriors of Light. Before we get this briefing started, I personally wanted to say thank you to everyone in this room for your selfless actions on the battlefronts on the distant worlds thus far.” His determined blue eyes swept the room, glancing at everyone. His gratitude was genuine, and his confidence in the newly assembled company showed through a tiny smile on his face. “You’re the best that we have, and I'm sorry to say that we need you once more to carry out this new mission, ordered directly from his majesty himself.” The tiny smile on the general’s face flattened out into a more serious look. “We have collaborated on the best course of action to accomplish this impossible mission while maximizing our chances of winning and minimizing our chance of defeat. With that, I will be handing this briefing to your actual commander.” WIth the end of Schindler’s opening announcement, the man in black and red stepped forward and faced the seated audience. “‘Sup everyone!” he saluted, “Field Commander Jacob Snider here! It’s nice to see some familiar faces!” Sadly, his slightly upbeat voice ended there as he cleared his throat and sighed heavily. “Unfortunately, seeing familiar faces when they belong to other worlds is not a very good sign. As you may have noticed with all the different world residents in this room, the situation is rather grim. We’re on our last leg and we’re running out of time.” Snider paused for a moment to collect his thoughts, before continuing. “The worlds of Destiny Islands and Twilight Town are overcrowded with refugees. Almost all available forces are stuck with maintaining order and rationing food and water. However, scholars have warned us that all food supplies are critically low, and even with the most stringent rationing measures, we’ll be able to sustain the current population for about six more weeks, and that’s an optimistic estimate. It’s not that hard to see that we have a crisis on our hands.” He nervously adjusted his collar before continuing. “I’ve called you all here because you’re the best bet of accomplishing this crucial mission. We’ve been tasked with executing Operation Blind Knight. The mission: retake Traverse Town. I know what you’re thinking, but we have no choice. The only remaining option aside from a last ditch offensive is to start losing people to starvation and disease.” The field commander audibly gulped; the idea that all the darkness had to do was deny any territory victory for the light in order to conquer the remaining worlds was a very depressing reality for the young leader. He took a deep breath before continuing, “With this crucial objective in mind, this is why all of you were summoned here.” Above the pristine white, circular platform, a holographic projection of Traverse Town flickered into view, floating ever so carelessly behind the commander. “For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, Traverse Town is actually a sizable city that thankfully covers up only a quarter of the world. The rest is mainly empty lands that is perfect for agriculture. But what makes this a prime target for us is the underground food storage reserves: during our hasty evacuation the world, at most we managed to take 20% along with us. The rest is still there in storage, and since we know that the heartless doesn’t really seem to care about food, well it makes sense for us to strike this world first.” As the holographic projection zoomed into the city, Snider’s voice started to change ever so slightly; Anyone familiar with the officer knew this was the part where things got technical. “So, you’re all here for the ground operation. Traverse Town is divided up into five districts. Your objective is to secure and lock the keyhole that is located in the second district. For all of us, our initial deployment zone will be the first district, and that will be in the hands of the pilots. Once you’ve landed, from there, push the attack into Second District. Keybladers Reiner Anthem, Rei de Wynter, and myself, this is where we come in. After ringing the bell atop the Gizmo Shop three times, one of us will need to seal the keyhole in order to deny the heartless the chance to regenerate on the world. Once the keyhole is secured, several Task Forces that are assigned to this mission will commence their assault, with several specialized transport units dedicated to invading the Third, Fourth, and Fifth District. Non-keyblade wielders like Mors, Armis, Niner, and you Alexei, are to assist the keyblade wielders and eliminate as many heartless as we can. Once the keyhole is secured, our remaining objective will be to clear up the heartless infestation in the first and second district until the place is completely sanitized of heartless.” [bonus: Bio. Reiner] Snider eyed Reiner Anthem directly. “I am aware that you led the defense of the third district, and your actions are commendable, keyblader. Since Traverse Town is your homeworld, we would appreciate your help once again.” His gaze sharpened as a weary smile formed on his face. “We’re getting your world back.” [bonus: Role. Alexei] Snider then turned his attention to Alexiei. “Look man, I know you’re a doctor, but this was straight from his majesty himself. Your primary objective in this mission is to support the personnel with your doctor-y hands if healing magic fails to help. Believe me, I was surprised when I learned that healing magic doesn’t solve every single injury out there. Schindler added in to the briefing. “To all of you in this room, don’t worry about the other districts; all you have to worry about is sealing that keyhole. If you fail, it would only be a matter of time before the heartless concentrates on all of you and wipe you out. I know what you’re all thinking: Why not do an orbital bombardment to weaken the heartless that are occupying the place first before our boots hit the ground? I wish it was that easy, but since the admiral isn’t here, to put it simply, there are a whole lot of heartless gummi vessels the main force will have to go through before they can get close enough, and that’s gonna take some time. He has arranged for a small squadron consisting of the best ships, transports, and pilots to allow this group to 'punch through' this armada so you all can seal the keyhole, while the rest of the force will focus on making a mess between here and Traverse Town. On top of that, for the sake of humanitarian efforts and future sustainability of the population, it is imperative that collateral damage be kept to a minimum. This is a precision operation, with no leeway if one of you were to fall. With this in mind, I’ve assigned some of the best squads, armed with a new, experimental rifle, to accompany all of you. You’ll meet them outside this room once the briefing is over. They’re all there to help you, and if things take a turn for the worse, they’re all tasked with prioritizing your survival above all else, and for a good reason: You're all on your own until that keyhole is sealed.” The general sighed quietly, praying that the lives of his best soldiers were in good hands. “If we win, not only will this solve our imminent crisis of overpopulation, but would also be the morale boost we all desperately need to rally everyone back into the ferocious fighting spirit shown at the beginning of this conflict. However, if this mission fails and we lose all of you, then this offensive will be the final nail in our collective coffin. The operation begins in three hours, so rest up if needed. If you have any questions, come on up and see me. Otherwise to everyone else here, do what you have to do, and rendezvous in the courtyard when the time comes. Best of luck, and may the light guide you to victory. Dismissed.” Snider exhaled quietly as the weight of the situation finally sank in for the young lieutenant. “Are we really at the point where we’re sending out a doctor to the front lines?” he muttered under his breath... [Disney Castle: Courtyard. Niner] After having escorted Reiner to the briefing room, Admiral Chandler took on the more humbling role of messenger boy as he made his way towards a particular ‘key personnel.’ As he got closer, he cleared his throat audibly to signal his approach to the… er… being known as Niner. “Excuse me, Niner correct?” he started, “I have been instructed to give this to you.” As he handed Niner a datapad with the same information that was being parroted in the briefing room, he couldn’t help but feel the gazes of basically everyone in the courtyard. It didn’t surprise him; he was the admiral after all, and having on his rather flashy yet practical keyblade armor was the complete opposite of ‘subtle.’ “Attention everyone!” A voice called out from somewhere, “MP has finished their census on civilians. They're posting all the names along the eastern walls!” While the admiral waited for Niner’s reply, he shifted his attention to the people around him. There was some commotion, and eventually a good majority of the people in the courtyard started making their way out. A few stayed back, and it took everything he had not to choke at the sight. Elsewhere in the courtyard, a platoon of soldiers marched in. After the command to halt and disperse, the troopers patiently waited outside the briefing room. It seems that the people that Schindler had called for finally arrived...
  2. If KH3 had playable Kairi, you bet I would spend an additional ~$100 in DLC for skins for her. If Lightning from FFXIII and onwards is anything to go by, I'm pretty sure SE/Disney has already thought of this
  3. I'll read through everything once again, refer to my notes and I'll get a post up and running by or before this Monday!
  4. Shouldn't Alin be commenting about the gummi ship "finally being useful for once" or something of that sort?
  5. Sorry about unexpectedly going quiet everyone. I made a post about it some time ago, but now I'm back for realsies! I got my schedule worked out for this semester so I can comfortably get back into RPing [on top of school and stuff.] So, should we get this back up, or should I just shut this down?
  6. Something fanservice-y, because it's between him and Riku for fanservice. Sorry Sora
  7. "You're gonna have to excuse these boys. They're in a pretty tough spot right now." Spectre looked at Ina with doubt and a raised eyebrow, but after seeing just how pathetically helpless half his team seems to be around several girls, he nodded quietly. She seemed to ponder about the suggested nickname for a moment, before offering her input. "Maybe, but in the moment, "sparkles" just rolled off the tongue." Spectre shrugged and looked at Alin. “Sparkles it is then.” "I don't think so.” Hearing Moana speak grabbed the squad’s attention. “But I wouldn't be surprised if those creatures are drawn there. The area where the darkness spews from is caused by a being called Te Kā if I remember. A demon that wishes to destroy everything in its path. It appeared after the demigod Maui stole Te Fiti's heart. This is the heart. It has the power of creation. I must find Maui and have him return it to Te Fiti.” "Perhaps we can tag along,” Susan offered, “We are searching for something. Perhaps it's connected to this Te Fiti you're talking about.” "Sure! The more the merrier!" It was at this point that Ghost showed Susan the view on his tactical datapad as she relayed the information to him."There is a demon called Te Kā creating that darkness. I think we should help Moana on her journey." “Good idea, master,” he nodded. "Well, from the looks of it,” Saros added, “ it won't take long for that darkness to reach the island and swallow it whole. We should hurry, if we're to stop this before it spreads any further. The darkness and overall smoke will be too dangerous to fly through. Not that I don't trust your skills, but I rather not risk our lives on a risky maneuver, especially since we won't be able to see anything while approaching." “I don’t blame you at all, Whippy.” "I...I believe that the best way to reach there without much trouble would be by...by boat. Unless your ship can transform into a boat..." “Sorry Whippy. It can go in the sky or underwater, but it can’t skim the water like a boat. It wasn’t designed that way. I can fly a few meters above the water, if that's what you want.” Saros turned to Moana. "We might have to borrow some of your sailboats. We can all sail together." He suggested, before looking back at the group. "Unless, anyone has any better ideas?" Ghost shook his head. “I’d rather we go in with the ship flying above us. That way it can act as support by blasting any heartless that’s not too close to us. It’ll be scary, but dangerously efficient.” The rest of the team seem to agree with their keyblader as they nodded. As he thought about a course of action for the gummi ship, he felt Susan’s body leaning against him. "You know Ina,” Susan teased, “I think some of us have some admirers. Don't you think?" “Aah!” Ghost cried out in surprise, “M-m-master! What are you doing?!” Ghost’s face once again turned beet red as the rest of the team looked on in varying degrees of entertainment. Spirit bolted towards Ghost, and smiled as he looked at Susan. “Excuse us for a moment, master.” He dragged Ghost away from the party as the keyblader tried to defend what’s left of his dignity. They passed Spectre, who only nodded at Spirit. “Please get this handled.” He nodded and continued to walk with his companion in tow until they were out of earshot. Spirit propped Ghost in front of him, and gently patted him on the head. “You are so adorable when you’re embarrassed,” he giggled, “but this is hurting group cohesion. So, c’mon. Both of us. Lets get it all out of our system now so we can focus.” The next few minutes had the two of them quietly voicing their thoughts to each other, some of which was to be expected from teenagers who were finally free from an oppressive environment and seeing girls for the first time that aren’t immediately yelling at them. Eventually, the duo giggled as they vented out the last of their embarrassing emotions. “Feeling better?” Spirit smiled. “I thought it was stupid,” Ghost replied, “but surprising yes. How-” “Think of those feelings like steam in a pressure cooker. If you keep it sealed up, eventually it’ll burst, and that is a bad thing. By voicing those feeling, we are effectively ‘venting’ it to a safer, more manageable level. When we get back to the group, the feelings shouldn’t be as strong as before so we can control ourselves and focus on the mission. It’s why Spectre yells when he’s frustrated; not because he’s angry but because he’s relieving stress so he can focus.” Ghost paused for a moment as he tested out the claim. After a silent moment, his cheeks became flustered, but nothing compared to the beet red face from earlier. “Huh, you’re right.” “Duh!” Spirit retorted, “of course I’m right! You were thinking of how wrong it sounded when you said master, huh?” “Shut up!” “You’re too adorable. Lets get going!” With a smile from Spirit and a pouty frown from Ghost, the duo walked back towards the group. Shadow nodded in acknowledgement of their return, and so did Spectre, who had a huge grin on his face, probably because he heard everything they said thanks to his acute sense of hearing. Upon seeing Master Susan, Ghost hid behind Spirit, peeking over his comrade’s shoulder as he suggested an idea to Saros. “Spirit and Shadow can man the gummi ship and give fire support. Spectre and I will be on the ground to assist and direct them.” “Sounds like a plan to me!” Spectre nodded, “any other ideas? If not, lets get started!”
  8. Basically all of this! "Hey Sora. So do you love Kairi? If not, I'll volunteer to take her away from you. Just letting you know. SO CONFESS AND KISS ALREADY DAGNABBIT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR LIKE 10 YEARS!"
  9. "I'l cut you." This is usually the part where anyone with a modicum of a brain would backtrack on whatever prompted such a reaction from a person in order to survive until the next hour. Unfortunately for Alin, Spectre is not one of those kinds of people. "Don't be a salty Sprinkles," Spectre casually replied as he continued to watch the video feed from the gummi ship above, "no one likes those. Be sugar Sprinkles instead, please. Or those rainbow kinds on top of donuts. I don't judge." The video feed from the screen was disturbing to say the least, and the squad leader contemplated commanding the ship to just shoot the darkness plume before things got out of hand. I can't shoot first without authorization from a master or actively engaging heartless. I mean... what if there are innocent lives stuck in there? "I think cinnamon fits her well," Shadow chimed in as he continued to survey the area around them for any straggling heartless. Spirit, having shaken off the initial embarrassment from Ina, added "are you calling Alin a cinnamon roll?" "Unlike Spectre over there, I want to live so... No." "So... Why cinnamon if not for cinnamon rolls?" As Shadow and Spirit bicker over the culinary nuances on what cinnamon is used for and its symbolism in literature, Ghost remained quiet. His face was still flushed red thanks to Ina, and it is only because of hearing his two friends having a conversation that his heartbeat started returning to normal. Thank the light. Ok, breathe. Stay calm. Stay... Calm... He took a few deep breaths, and his usual pale complexion finally returned. He gingerly cleared his throat, before squeaking "Hey Ina? C-can you let me go?" Spectre gave him the confidence boost he desperately needed as he was asked, "Hey Ghost? Check the feed. You're the keyblader of the team after all. Do you think you should advise Master Susan and the others on what we're seeing?" "Good idea," Ghost smiled as he started pulling up the video feed on his tactical pad as well. What popped up on his screen didn't bode well for the mission, and he believed it warranted Master Susan's full attention. "Hey Susan? You might want to take a look at this. It's that darkness plume we all saw earlier before we landed."

  12. Spirit felt his face heating up as Ina got all chummy with him and Ghost. Oh crap... c'mon keep it together! It took everything the bookworm had to force his mind on some other matter that wasn't the incredibly fit and exhausted Ina who may or may not be technically giving him a hug at the moment. Don't be embarrassed. Staycalmstaycalmstaycalmstaycalm..... Just admire the beautiful gir- NO! Um- Ocean! Yes! Beautifully blue and naturally salty due to dissolved ions from the land such as- His mental struggle all but taken care of thanks to science books, Spirit managed to save himself from looking redder than a tomato as he looked at Ina and gave a wholehearted smile. "They're trying to find that out now, ma'am. Give them some time." The keyblade wielder known as Ghost was caught completely off guard and let a very un-keyblader like "eep!" escape his mouth before managing to catch himself. He recognized the voice as Ina, realized she heard it, and felt the sudden need to crawl under a nearby rock and just disappear. Why does this always happen to me and girls? And really beautiful girls for that matter? This is so unfair... I thought the keyblade was supposed to make me braver! He looked away from Ina, trying to hide his beet red face from the girl. "Y-yeah," he stammered after Spirit, "they're inve-vestigating that now." Spectre knew exactly what was happening with the two of them and decided to be of absolutely no help whatsoever. "Did you swallow some of the ocean water, Ghost?" he teased, "that's unhealthy you dumdum." The squad leader seemed to relish in his adopted brother's torment, and it showed as a playful grin. Shadow and Spirit giggled, and Ghost was now quietly whimpering as he subtly begged his friends to stop humiliating him in front of Ina. Taking the hint, he walked a few steps away and tapped a few times on the tactical pad on his forearm. Off in the distance behind the native woman, the nose of the gummi ship breached the surface waves. The engines fired up, and the billowing white trail from the evaporating water quickly dissipated as the ship ascended towards the blue skies once again. Its systems online and transmitting, Spectre decided to assist Saros and tried to pan a camera towards the darkness patch the group spotted earlier. If there were any obvious developments since the last time they all saw it, then everyone had to move and act fast before things got out of hand. "By the way," Spectre added as he watched the tiny screen on his arm, "I think Sprinkles would be a better nickname. Just my two cents, Ina."
  13. I'm usually above taking the bait like this but... this is too irresistable Also... Shadow: Oh snap, Sparkles isn't a bad nic- Spirit: Sprinkles. It should be Sprinkles. Because sand. Ghost: But Sparkles can be shortened to Spark! Sparky! Spectre: That's why I vote Sprinkles...
  14. Well school is starting back up for me, but it shouldn’t affect my posting time too much. Thought I’d let you all know though just in case.
  15. "It wouldn't run away! I tried to have it run the other way and it keeps running straight into danger! I can't just leave it to DIE!" Saros explained to everyone around him. " 'atta boy, Whippy!" Shadow agreed. a momentary lapse between shots was all the scout needed to reconfigure his rifle into his preferred configuration. With just a quick snap, the rifle had split into two, and he was quick to take advantage of the sub-rifles's high rate of fire as he started sending a flurry of arrow shards towards any appropriate group of heartless in the area. His attention was still on Saros, and it showed as he prioritized heartless threatening the keyblader over the others. Spectre actually broke his aim to look directly at Saros and nod in approval before going back to his usual business. Well that's one keyblade wielder who won't view us as disposable. I hope... Ghost and Spirit were doing just fine on their own, and before the squad could get too comfortable in the battlefield, the heartless were for the most part eliminated. As Saros and Susan interacted with the onworlder, the team regrouped with each other and the rest of the posse. They listened in to the exchange, hoping to glean some more information about the world and the extent of the heartless threat.
  16. Since everyone is doing it, here's grown up pictures of Spooky Squad
  17. "Heartless!" Susan cried out, "everyone pitch in! All of you, come out! Including the two lover boys!" "I HAVE NO REGRETS!!!" Ghost boisterously roared as he popped up from the sands, summoning his keyblade while doing so. Eager to get into the fight, he quickly closed the distance between him and the group of heartless that seemed to take an interest on the stranger in the distance. Just as he got into range, he threw his keyblade at the group, then promptly dove away from the heartless he was targeting... "Ditto!" Spirit cried out as he too stood up alongside Ghost, rifle at the ready. While his squadmate ran towards the group, Spirit was honing his aim. He waited for his friend to throw his keyblade, and as soon as Ghost was out of his line of fire, Spirit pulled the trigger, hoping to stagger the heartless group with their combined attacks. Shadow and Spectre were still camouflaged in the sands, but with Susan's commands they too contributed to the fight. Breaking their cover, the two rolled into advantageous firing positions in relation to the others. Shadow was supporting Alin, firing off rather accurate shots whenever the situation allowed him to. Spectre managed to squeeze off a few bolts of his own until he was distracted by Saros. He could only watch in bewilderment as a keyblade wielder decided to prioritize the life of a rooster over the others, prompting the squad leader to yell out "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" before getting back into the fight. "Shadow," he commanded, "fire support on Saros!" "I'm on Whippy!" the scout barked back in acknowledgement. He swung his rifle around, and together with Spectre, the two for the moment had shifted their focus to the chicken with the keyblade wielder.
