Good post. : 3 Romantic love isn't the only type of love you can feel and sometimes it feels like people (including myself, btw) forget that. Says a person who was super salty on Valentine's day... can't believe I got stood up by a game. Damn you Atlus.

I think it's pretty likely. Kingdom Hearts was probably meant to be a standalone game in the beginning, but after it gained popularity they decided to make a sequel (so of course they had to invent more things in order the game not to get repetitive and boring). I think they only started to plan the future games more after KH2. When you think about it, that's when they really started to tie all the stuff together to create a more coherent story (although that's also when it got really confusing). And they probably still put a lot more stuff in along the way... I don't really mind, though. I think the fact that the story of Kingdom Hearts is not really the most logical one, and it's full of twists and turns and nonsense, is the reason why I love the series so much... in a way?
