Character development is probably the most important structure when it comes to any narrative. You can't tell a story with unlikable characters. You have to leave room for each character to develop. Over the course of the 10 years that lead up to the original release of Dream Drop Distance, many of us may have thought we had a generally well developed cast of characters. Upon the release of DDD, we thought we took a step back with at least Sora. His gameplay was a lot worse than ever before. He became way too childish and naive instead of having that perfect balance from KH2. Riku was still brooding and constantly talked about the Darkness, but his gameplay was fantastic and everything we wanted out of Sora's. Some argue that the only big take from DDD was it's ending for the story. However that was never true. In fact, we have 0.2 to back this up now, as Sora is now back to the way he was in KH2. The idea portrayed to us in DDD, the reason Sora ended up where he was by the end of its narrative, was that the chosen one got a bit too cocky. He saved the worlds on a grand scale multiple times, why did he have to take any of it seriously? He let his ego get the best of him and that's what lead to the situation that provided us with Riku coming out of it as the only Keyblade Master. Riku has been on the same road since CoM. It was only a matter of time before Riku finalized his stages of Grief by accepting the Darkness and using it as his Light. Our final take from Dream Drop Distance shouldn't be about the ending alone. We need to understand why Sora acted the way he did and why that caused him to fall at the forces of Darkness. We need to understand why Riku became a Keyblade Master. Overall, I believe DDD gave us a good outlook on the development of Sora and Riku as characters.

It wasn't that. No one remembers her, Sora never met Xion, hence the reason both Sora and Riku have no idea who she is. However, during that moment, Sora was confronting the pain of those he was seeing there. Xion actually formed her own heart during the events of Days so she will also very likely make a return in Kingdom Hearts 3. Just a note to clear things up about the heart: this is confirmed when the digitized version of Ansem the Wise is talking to Riku about Sora. He mentions the multiple connections Sora has with those who are hurting. One of which was a puppet who grew a heart.

Sonic Mania is literally classic Sonic. The good ones that don't stray from what he was made for in the first place. Hence the reason anyone would be excited about it. The writing is what really gets me when it comes to more modern games. I can't ever tell who their target audience is with the horrible narrative they've given us in the past. Here we have Sonic celebrating his birthday when suddenly evil attacks and his friends are swept away, along with his prized chili dog, which is what really spiraled the events of Generations. The narrative was so poorly written that even if he did save all of his friends, they made it seem like he did it to get his chili dog back. Alright gameplay doesn't mix well with bad writing.

Because reviews hold over my personal opinion. Just saying I don't expect much from it because it looks like a copy pasted Generations which was what I feared. Don't get me wrong, I sort of enjoyed Generations, but Forces could have been better from what we've been given so far.

When you realize Sonic Forces is a cheap work around Generations. Generations was mediocre at best. Forces will likely not be worth the $60 priceline.

How it worked in 13 was part of the reason a lot of people hated the game. This is the first I've ever heard of people liking it. Lightning Returns had the best combat system in the 13 trilogy. It wasn't super focused on ATB and you could strategize quick combination of multiple attacks. If you think Button Mashing is all games like Kingdom Hearts has to it, you're playing it wrong. That's like going into a fighting game and thinking button mashing is the best way to win that.

Why? The ATB system is garbage. The ATB system exists here, but a lot of the combat will be action based. It's not a system of ATB select option. It's ATB and action. So imagine if KH kept what it was but added the ATB. Basically its an awkward hybrid of two battle systems and the video would have been nice as a screenshot gives no idea on how this will work.

He actually took down his uploads after finding out. Basically, he received it from a third party, leaked the UI, and then found out that some were stolen and he doesn't believe the guy he got it from stole it or even knew for that matter. But once he found out, he gave it back to them and deleted his uploads. It's still on the internet though because thousands of people can literally upload the video at this point.

As of Feb. 18, 2017, the leaked Switch console has been returned to Nintendo. According to the details, the third party he had obtained it from had stolen it from Nintendo. Uncomfortable with the idea of keeping it, he gave it back to the representatives that came for it. He points okout that these people were also nice and reasonable. If i remember correctly he was actually one of the fans in the Final Fantasy XV surprise video too. This is neat to see.

I find it funny that anyone thought it was Kingdom Hearts related.It is pretty laughable.

I feel like the way it was all lined up in that absolutely amazing ending piece, KH3 is the only title to come next. While we could start in Olympus I can see the opening cutscenes involving Mickey and Riku getting into the Realm of Darkness first. Past that, it would easily and smoothly transition to Sora training in Olympus.

I agree that the Devil's Wave/Core were a little ridiculous. The patterns were easy to see, but there were little openings and for the kind of game it is, I'd even argue they deal way too much damage. I played on proud mode and for its relatively easy game play, I had several game overs from fighting Devil's Wave/Core in the later half. I think the part that really aggravated me was that the game over screen would give me hints for the fights and one of the tips was to use blizzard to freeze the core during phase 2. Let me tell you how it doesn't actually work. I have made direct contact with blizzard to the core and it does not freeze it no matter how many time you hit it.

Well, my digital copy of 2.8 has begun to download. Not necessarily meaning I could play it until Monday night at midnight.

Postal services do shut down on Sundays but banks are open to public but for fewer hours than normally. Either way, it could be held back by Sunday. I preordered digital myself as the pin was poor incentive for a physical purchase to me. At least I've got a kickass theme for it.

It's possible but it requires the only good move in the game and that's any form of the Balloon magic.You'd think I'm only opinionated there, but it's true. Balloon magic is the only high damaging command set that staggers enemies and even defeats some in one hit. In fact people have complained how it's the only useful command for level 1 runs. It's basically poor design choice there.

I've heard there are people who weren't fans of Zelda, but BotW has impressed them and they preordered the switch and the game. There are also PC gamers who want the switch for portable skyrim. Did I mention March 3rd was my birthday? I'm one happy camper myself. Especially since I'm getting that long awaited Zelda title with my switch.
