  1. Huh, my work is trying to pretend they haven't approved my vacation. This will end poorly for them.
  2. My first reaction was "I'm out of AP? What is this, 2016??"
  3. Hell no I won't pull. I learned my lesson with Cloud EX. These EX deals are terrible. Saving up again since my stock of jewels is depressingly low.
  4. Coliseum! I was never really that big on doing those until the remasters, but man, it's such a rush. Hopefully this means it unlocks right away (since it'll be one of the first areas) and there are progressively more tournaments as the story goes on.
  5. I'm in that boat too. I think they know what they're doing so far (since we've literally seen one world!) but I'm okay with holding back as much as possible.
  6. The answer is always research! It's not a bad thing to stay informed. If you're curious about a source, search the web to see how legitimate they are.
  7. Varies year to year. Last year I went up to a friend's for an epic grill-out/drink-off, but this year it was just some BBQ with the fam.
  8. It's still bizarre that it resets every day. How on earth could anybody possible max level this thing in an hour? (Even 55 seems pushing it. I can do about 5 an hour, so that's 10 a day.)
  9. I mean, is it hating to want as much possible content in your game when you purchase it, right from the get-go? Don't get me wrong, I'm pro-DLC, but I also have disposable income... plenty of people don't. As for actual DLC, I'd be okay with most things honestly. I can't imagine KH3 would actually have much beyond outfits, but with stuff like previous game outfits and whatnot, I'd be enticed.
  10. I mean, A. it's a superhero story and they never stay dead, B. there was a lightning strike at the end of the "good" route (which is canon) so that's enough for me to believe he can come back =P.
  11. Good, because I blew all my jewels on the falling price deal and got nada. Need to restock.
  12. I have to figure the next game will star Cole. I liked Second Son a lot, but I definitely like Cole as a protagonist more, so a PS4 game starring him would be a dream.
  13. Haha, I want a sequel to inFamous slightly more than Sly Cooper, but I'd take either. They're working on TLOU2, but not having at E3 this year was silly.
  14. Music, probably. I'm spoiler-shy, but I know I'm going to watch it anyway =P.
  15. So Sora is Ed? That... makes a fair amount of sense, actually.
  16. July's a little stagnant for me (still mucking my way through the glorious Persona 5) but I'm really curious about Pyre. I loved Transistor, even more than Bastion, and I'm a little on the fence with the overall game style of Pyre. I'll probably wait for reviews, but it's got me intrigued, for sure.
  17. The trigger rate is low for SC. Wear Skill Perk avatar parts. If you have SC2, it's a lot more likely.
  18. Oh, plenty of things. Honestly, as an (overworked) adult, there's often just not a lot of time to create new and distinct impressions of things that will leave an indelible mark on your subconscious. That's why tapping into nostalgia is such a powerful (and let's be honest, mildly exploitative) marketing tool. This thing you like is still the thing you like! That's always my favorite part of nostalgia, but you can also overdose on it a bit. For me, personally, music is a huge thing. So what I did is create a "summer playlist" that contains very specific songs that, for one reason or another, evoke a powerful emotional response within me. But in order not to cheapen the effect that these songs can have, I'll file these songs away and not play them until it's summer time; summer offering its own form of nostalgia, as it's always my favorite time of the year (part because of my birthday, part childhood sense that summer represents unfettered freedom from responsibility). I'll also occasionally add new songs if I come across one that resonates enough, as a small sign of growth and acknowledgement that I'm an evolving person. I also travel a lot (for one reason or another) so plane rides also give me a huge nostalgic rush. As soon as the plane takes off (and they allow electronics to be turned on again!) I'll throw on some headphones, cue up my playlist, and it's a moment that reminds me that everything can be right with the world. Video games, obviously, have their own way of triggering that sensation. That one's a bit harder to find a balance on (constantly replaying old games vs exploring new ones and expanding horizons), but Kingdom Hearts games are, for me, ones that strike that balance. Granted, KH2 (and Roxas' final line about summer) always hits me right in the feels, so that's something I can never get rid of.
  19. Yeah, I didn't nearly finish the objectives either, so definitely more reason. I just finished KH1 so the plan is to slowly wind my way up the timeline.
  20. Yeah, it ended up being really short, I stretched it out but that was still only two days. On the plus side you don't get Critical mode until after your first playthrough, so there's incentive to return.
  21. He will return, but he probably shouldn't. As a character he's gone through a pretty complete and satisfying arc. It doesn't feel narratively necessary to bring him back. But it's not like he's an annoying personality or anything, so there's some mileage to get out of seeing him interact with all of the other characters who will be around.
  22. I'm not sure most people are getting the point of the article... the idea is that the intense friendship they share IS a form of intimacy without being romantic. At least in KH2, Sora undeniably expresses a much greater range of emotions for Riku than he does for Kairi; some of that is circumstantial, some of that is curious writing that places a heavy emphasis on it.
  23. (no poll about Digimon? booo) Probably not going to get one, but it has a solid lineup. Kirby Super Star or Super Mario World would do it for me.
