I wanted SOMETHONG from Sucker Punch, either Sly 5 (5ly?) or new inFamous. I'm sure something is in the works, but was disappointing not to see anything.

I watched it mostly with the volume off, but it still seemed pretty boring. Points for spider-man, god of war, and shadow of the colossus surprise stealing the show. Minus points for no Sucker Punch (seriously?).

Oh, forgot to grind out the previous Union Cross quests for some medals, darn. Oh well, got the Keyblade armor, which is all that mattered. Cute HSC, too, and I guess I'll have to get VIP these weeks. Lotta content, not bad.

GamerGate was a movement that allegedly started as people advocating for "ethics in gaming" and gaming journalism, but quickly devolved into a front for trolls to harass people (specifically female developers and journalists) and spread toxicity. Anybody who still claims to be affiliated with them can't be taken seriously.

Microsoft's E3 conference*

Oh bummer, The Last Night (one of the better looking games from E3's conference) has a dev who, at least in the past, was a gamergater. Bleh.

Microsoft continues to display that weird corporate synergy mindset that, against all odds, has actually been what's gotten them this far. I don't buy the talk of "by the players, for the players" but they had some nifty games on display regardless.

I didn't say liking the conference made anybody a tool, I said going up on stage and preening about cars made somebody a tool. Some of the games they showed were good, absolutely. The overall presentation was some weird corporate nonsense about Mixer, and a partnership with Porsche, and that's the stuff I didn't care for.

Most of them shown were exclusives, right? The good ones weren't, but that's another conversation.

Not to mention with the X and S, clever naming symmetry aside, they'll run into the Wii U problem all over again.

Minus points for Forza (A. stop pronouncing it "Por-SHA", you sound like a complete tool, B. who the hell cares that much about cars), and State of Decay 2 (yawn, I think we're basically at peak zombie now). Plus for AC Origins (damn that looks good) and Anthem, which seems surprisingly robust and diverse. Indies look good too, and The Last Night was weird, cool surprise. Overall, a meh conference with some good games, especially toward the end. I still don't know what Mixer is, but after seeing it mentioned a trillion and a half times, I find that I don't really care.

I'm not sure if it's recorded as appearing in the original KH (I finished my playthrough and never encountered it) but in KHIIFM apparently the game will crash upon trying to save sometimes, so whatever progress you made between saves is lost. It's not a game-breaking thing, but I can see how frustrating it would be.

Holy crap that trailer was awesome. And thanks to Xemnas for pointing out the exceedingly obvious that most people are ignoring. Want Roxas back? Sora's gotta become a heartless. (obviously there will be a different way, but still, this is the easy one =P)

Hope it's for the save glitch. I haven't had the time to dig into KHII yet (just finished 1) but it's something I'd like to see before I start.

They're both really good. Their weakest points are probably the endings (both feel like there needs to be more at the end) but the gameplay is like nothing else. Definitely worth the time.

Soundtrack for Vol. 4 is up for pre-order on iTunes, some songs available to download right away. Looks like instead of an acoustic version of When It Falls, they went with an acoustic version of... Boop. I guess it makes sense given the focus of Vol. 4, but man, what a waste of a pick.
