  1. Ehhhh, I dunno. The art style is perfect, but nothing about this strikes me as especially funny. If anything, it just makes me wanna go back and read all the books again (and no, I am not embarrassed to read children's books as a grown ass man, thank you). What, and Ed Helms doesn't?
  2. Well, I meant complex in the way that Kingdom Hearts is complex. And yeah, Unleashed was kinda there. The gorgeous cartoon-y art style and over-the-top nature of literally putting the planet back together like a puzzle gave it that Saturday morning cartoon vibe that I think fits Sonic to a T. It still suffers from ancient prophecies about the destruction of all life and the eternal battle between Light and Dark Gaia (and how the taint of evil somehow makes Sonic buff, hairy and spiky for some reason) which I think is super out of place and veers way too hard into JRPG territory. It's certainly not as big an offender as Sonic 06, but I'd still never call it good. This is also another reason I'm hype for Forces; I'd heard somewhere that I can't recall at the moment that despite the early trailer and gameplay footage, the game's not going to have an overall dark tone. I'd like to imagine it's going to be more of the fun light-hearted adventure aspects of Unleashed and less of the "fighting ancient evil with the forces of pure light" aspect.
  3. Whaaaaaaat, come on. It's a silly cartoon! It's obviously geared towards kids while having all the throwbacks an adult fan could ever want. The chili dog wasn't the crux of the story, it was a joke/reference. Monster/Eggman attacks Sonic and all his friends, Sonic beats monster/Eggman (or is it Eggmen at that point? Hmm) and saves all his friends. Not because of a chili dog, but because he's the hero, dude! He's way past cool! Some might even say the only good Sonic narratives are the ones that boil down to "Sonic beats Eggman". Games like Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic 06, Unleashed, etc. are where the story gets so huge and weird that it collapses under its own weight. That's part of why Sonic Mania looks so good, there's virtually no chance it's going to have some overly-complex story of light and dark forces of the earth, or evil alien gods trying to kill everything. That shit belongs in Final Fantasy, not Sonic.
  4. Fool. Your animal magazines hold no sway over me, my mind is already filled with CLICKETY CLACK DOWN THE TRACK
  5. Exactly this. I don't want my perception of any of these people tainted by a bad experience (except Willa Holland, I guess, I couldn't care less about her). I guess if there were one person I'd be okay just running into be accident though, it'd be Osment. He comes off as really nice and approachable (could obviously be way off about that though), plus I just really like the sound of his voice. although if i could somehow get billy zane to say "DARKNESS" i'd hands down choose him
  6. how dare you infect my pure innocent R&C comment with memes this will not stand
  7. Yeah, I think it just depends on you medals and Keyblade level. I'm level 220 and I'm having all the same problems you are. (This is a gacha game, after all. They want you to dump money into it to get rare/good medals.)
  8. Friendly reminder that Ratchet & Clank is the best Playstation series in the history of the console line.
  9. aaaahh my excitement is hella palpable right now God, I'm in love with that main theme. They've said that there's definitely going to be a version of the song with vocals too, which is ridiculously enticing. I so want to harken back to those early-to-mid-2000s tunes, and if we get a Crush 40 version, I'm seriously gonna lose my shit.
  10. No Ratchet & Clank? Really, R&C is like my favorite Playstation franchise of all time. Every game is a great balance between platforming, shooting and off and on spaceship flights. Love it so much/
  11. *drool* I dunno what the people saying "This is just a rehash!" are talking about, a bunch of new/revised game mechanics on remixed levels sounds both refreshing and firetruckin' sweet.
  12. I dunno, giant playing cards that swirl around and attack people seem kinda unusual to me. And what about books? I wouldn't consider those a very "normal" weapon. Well maybe if he hurled it around Captain America style he'd garner more attention.
  13. Scythe for the Grim Reaper aesthetic, though I love the Arrowguns, the Lexicons, giant Cards... really, every Org. members weapon is super cool and unique in KH. Shame they're all pointless now that every character in the series is getting a Keyblade.
  14. "Nathan Summers Cumming Soon" yesssss
  15. None. Plot twists are such a cheap writing tool unless they're done perfectly, and no KH game ever has for me. I will say though from a visual perspective, the reveal of Vanitas' face to be Sora's was pretty neat. Narratively it's bullshit, but it's really cool imagery all the same.
  16. You gotta remember, this was 2003. Myers was fresh off the third Austin Powers and the first Shrek with Shrek 2 on the way. He was on top of the world! He could do no wrong!!! and then oh boy did he do wrong (Though to be fair, no actor could've made that movie good. The script is confusing and weird with tons of random hit-or-miss, mostly miss, jokes that don't fit in at all. The costume effects were the least of that movie's problems.)
  17. I legitimately don't see how any human being could wear a full body mutant cat suit well.
  18. It's backwards. KH1 inspired worlds in BBS and 0.2. I know this because I have a typical human perception of time.
  19. The video blatantly said that it doesn't happen all the time, just that each of the things shown in the video were things that happened one time or another while they were using it. And the kickstand does look really flimsy and poorly balanced, I've been thinking that since Nintendo announced it last year. Of course, neither of us have a Switch yet so it's not really feasible to judge it one way or another. But I'm very inclined to believe the people who have been using it and have familiarity with the thing.
  20. 0.2, because it's just terribly designed. Hard to follow attacks that have weird timing for blocking, a constantly unlocking camera, a second form with virtually unavoidable attacks along with the game's delay for shortcut commands made it such an unbelievably obnoxious fight. I had to fight it like 10 times on Proud mode (original Proud mode, btw, before they nerfed it) and I only seemed to win due to luck. It's painful and disheartening; I really hope the Demon fights don't make in anywhere into KH3.
  21. That's what I'm saying! I get that I could just order a custom case if I really wanted to, it's just frustrating that there are so few pre-made ones that are a decent price compared to iPhones.
  22. "Samsung ALWAYS gets something. I never said they were good." Thanks, bruh. Also I don't know if Southern California is some kind of Samsung wasteland then, because I almost NEVER see any Samsung devices cases at any electronics store or store that caries phone supplies. It's always tons of Apple products, and if I'm lucky a really cheap or really expensive case for the Galaxy S line. I mean just look at these KH ones- they've got cases for iPhones from 2012 and almost nothing else. It's hardly abundant for me.
  23. I dunno what you're on about, man, I couldn't find a decent case for my Galaxy Note 5 to save my life, let alone a good KH one.
