The official press release Twitter account for Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, run by series director Tetsuya Nomura, has revealed that the game may release next week in Japan. In a previous article, we reported that Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series, was interviewed by Ruliweb and claimed that there were no plans to release Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX on the PlayStation 4. However, as we and others further investigated this interview, one paragraph stuck out. Using Google Translate, rumors were spread about worlds like Pride Lands and Halloween Town not returning in Kingdom Hearts III. However, thanks to Jess from Tumblr and Amber from Tumblr, we have translated a section of the interview that will clear things up: To clarify, Nomura states that maps used in the previous games will not return. This does not rule out movies that we have seen before, as evidenced by the return of the Hercules world seen in the . We have never ventured in the areas around Mount Olympus, but we have been in the Coliseum, a "Town Near Thebes", and the Underworld from the Hercules movie. While it is likely that Halloween Town and other such worlds from movies featured in previous games will not return, simply because of the lack of new maps/areas, it does not rule them out completely. In an interview with Comicbook.com, John Vignocchi, the vice president of production for Disney Infinity, claims that he hopes the recent inclusion of Kingdom Hearts in Disney Infinity 3.0 "leads to more". In the interview, Vignocchi also reveals that the inclusion of Kingdom Hearts in Disney Infinity has been planned for quite some time: Also, as if that wasn't enough, he made a series of tweets that could further suggest a larger role for Kingdom Hearts in Disney Infinity. Take these tweets with a grain of salt, seeing as they neither confirm or deny more Kingdom Hearts in future versions of Disney Infinity, but the winky face and the caps-locked "LOL" imply a sarcastic remark. During the Disney Interactive presentation at D23 Expo 2015, the team at Disney Infinity revealed that the Keyblade will be the the Ultimate Unlock in Disney Infinity 3.0. The Ultimate Unlock is achieved by collecting every figure available for Disney Infinity. This gives players the opportunity to use the Keyblade as a weapon in the game. Additionally, fans attending D23 were rewarded a King Mickey costume, which is Mickey Mouse's attire from the Kingdom Hearts series. This costume will NOT be sold in stores. During the Disney Interactive event at D23 Expo 2015, a world based on the movie Big Hero 6 was announced for Kingdom Hearts III! The story in Kingdom Hearts III will take place after the events of the movie. The subplot of the world will involve Heartless taking over the Baymax that was left inside the portal from the end of the film. The following image is concept art created by series artists, which showcases Sora riding on the back of Battlesuit Baymax. Enlarged Version Roy Conli, producer of Tangled and Big Hero 6 also shared a message saying how thrilled he is to be featuring his movies in Kingdom Hearts games, and that he loves the connections the movies and the Kingdom Hearts series share. During the Disney Interactive event at D23 Expo 2015, it was announced that every Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts III will have its own transformation. The hosts made sure to emphasize that every single Keyblade is included in this. It was also re-confirmed at the event that attraction flow is able to be activated at any time. Ben Diskin, voice actor of Young Master Xehanort in the Kingdom Hearts series, is currently holding an AMA (ask me anything) thread on reddit, and we had the pleasure of asking him his thoughts on the E3 2015 Kingdom Hearts III trailer and his preparation for his role in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. His response clarifies that he was indeed involved in the recording process for the new Kingdom Hearts III trailer. It also seems as though he was given little to no information regarding the plot before he started recording his lines for Young Master Xehanort in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts III, but according to a previous question, he played Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II before recording the lines. Ben mentions that he enjoyed the new Kingdom Hearts III trailer and was "relieved" to see his character's appearance in the game. He also reveals that the inspiration came from Japanese voice actor for Young Master Xehanort, Takanori Okuda. Then, Ben makes a point to remind us of how secretive Square Enix and Disney are with this property, as if we were not already aware!
