Strelitzia's connected to Namine?
Interesting but there are a few flaws to this theory of yours… First things first, we don’t know for certain whether or not that person in the black coat is Strelitzia’s nobody, or that she has a nobody at all. All we know for now it that she died and Nomura has confirmed that the black coat guy/girl isn’t Strelitzia. Now, in saying that Namine and Strelitzia are one in the same because they had similar desires isn’t reasonable proof. A lot of people have similar desires and go about them in similar ways, but that doesn’t make them the same people, that’s stretching it too far. Like Ventus and Sora, they were both intended and designed to be a lot alike, but they aren’t the same. And yes, Namine is Kairi’s nobody, but she’s also a very special nobody given the fact that she’s also Soras’. Like Roxas, she technically has two somebodies. Kairi is a Princess of Heart and thus cannot produce a nobody; Sora kind of helps (indirectly) with this matter when he sacrifices himself to free Kairi’s heart and this rare occurrence brings forth Namine and all her powers/appearances. Yeah, we don’t know why her hair is blond, but Strel’s hair isn’t blond either, she’s more of a fiery ginger. I do believe Namine, along with Roxas and Xion, will return; Roxas looking like he’ll return in KH3. How? I have no idea, but I don’t believe she has any significant connections to Strel. Her hair clip could have also just been a use of foreshadowing in which it would hint at who killed her.

Why aren't Vanitas' eyes blue?
This is kind of just my own two cents here, but I believe Vanitas has yellow eyes because of his nature: being Ventus' darkness given form. I know yellow eyes means you've been norted as Nomura has said this before, but isn't there a process for that to happen? I remember Xehanort (or someone) explaining that you first have to drown the light of someone's heart in darkness and then Xehanort is able to control them through their own darkness. Vanitas is nothing BUT darkness, Ven is his light, so can Xehanort really turn him into one of his vessels? Actually, it seems like Vanitas would be perfect for such since you wouldn't have to worry about drowning his light, but for what Vanitas is, is norting even possible for him now? He seems too unstable for it. And even if Xehanort can, why would he? It's not like he'd expect Vanitas to just turn over a new leaf and betray him, he is nothing but DARKNESS. The last thing Xehanort would expect of Vanitas is betrayal so long as he dangles an option of salvation in front of him. He's still a perfect candidate for being a Seeker of Darkness and he's already an apprentice of his, so why bother? I realize that'd leave him a loose end and Xehanort doesn't leave loose ends as he thinks about every outcome, but what if, just this one time, he doesn't and it leads to his downfall? Death by his own apprentice! YOU SHOULD HAVE NEVER MADE VANITAS IN THE FIRST PLACE, XEHANORT! THAT WAS YOUR FIRST MISTAKE: THE MISTAKE THAT COST YOU EVERYTHING BECAUSE YOU WERE TOO RASH! But I'm just rambling here, it's my own personal opinion mainly based off of the novels (which I know aren't canon ) and BBS. To sum it up, all I'm saying is Vanitas is a special case and I don't think the usual rules apply to him; kind of like Namine. His yellow eyes may just be yellow simply because he's Ven's darkness. There, I contributed to this conversation.

KH Union X [cross] New Artwork Comparison with KH 2.8 Box Art
Okay, so Nomura had commented that we pay attention to the positions of the leaders and I just watched TheGamersJoint's video talking about this and found something really interesting in the comments section by a user called seqka711 saying that the Back Cover portion of the KH 2.8 Box Art took on an eerily similar positions as our Union Leaders here. Check it out for yourself. It's a bit angled and flipped, but the positions are as followed: Ava = Ventus Gula = Chirithy Invi = Skuld Ira = Ephemer(a) Aced = Blaine Luxu = Lauriam MoM = Unknown hooded figure

Message and new Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] artwork from Tetsuya Nomura
"This time please pay attention to their positions." Alright, Nomura, let's see what we've got here... Ephemera is positioned in the center stage, obviously a sign that he's the leader. Skuld is on his right, so she's obviously going to be his "right hand" girl. Blaine (who we can now see his face, looking good buddy!) is on Ephemera's left and although I can't see any significance of that position, it would appear that those in the front are the "good" guys. Then we got Ventus sitting in the front beside Chirithy and he's... holding something, what is he holding??? It looks like its covered with a cloth? Interesting... or it could just be his knee. Now for those in the back. From their position, being in the back can represent secret agendas or motives. And with Lauriam back there staring at that dandelion, I can only think of the same thing that a youtuber commented (sorry can't remember their name) saying, "he's staring at his success." Or as to say, he's successfully infiltrated the Dandelions? Don't know about anyone else, but I'll definitely be keeping my eye on him. And finally we got that mysterious hooded figure holding a white bleeding heart flower, which I heard represents the tragic death of a young woman (a.k.a) Strelitzia. I see a lot of people are grasping towards the idea that that's Strel's nobody, but I personally think it's Luxu. His role was to wait and watch what happens, who's to say he didn't witness Strel's death? But whoever it is, this is their way of mourning Strelitzia. On another note, Blaine is looking to be that cool, laid back, misunderstood kind of guy I assumed he was, so that's awesome! At first I thought that little red thing was part of the black robe, but no, that's just Blaine's feather on his hat. Also, check out his earring, it's a cross of some sort... So let's wrap up what seems to be important when it comes to detail: Lauriam is happily holding a dandelion in the back. An unknown hooded figure is with them holding a bleeding heart flower. Ventus is holding something in a way to make it seem very precious. He's also the only one sitting down. What does it all mean?!

[Spoilers] What If Lauriam Is The One Who Screws Everything Up? :o
I was thinking this as well! But in regards to whether the killer was Lauriam or if it's all a red herring, both assumptions are obvious. It's easy to assume that Lauriam was the killer given how the cutscenes panned out and just by knowing Marluxia as a power hungry guy who has the title of 'Graceful Assassin'. It's also easy to see how it all could be a red herring and someone else could be the killer given that we didn't actually see who killed Strel. And this, IMO, is what Nomura was going for. One of the things I loved about this update was the fact we were left with a bit of a mystery on our hands as well as the fact that someone in Kingdom Hearts (other than Eraqus) actually died! This was great story telling! He had us quickly become attached to Strel so that when she died like she did, it would bring forth that emotional reaction and it worked so well! Now, in my opinion, I think Lauriam was the one who assassinated Strelitzia and the reasons you [The Transcendent Key] gave I agree with 100%. It fits his character, from what we know of him as a nobody, well and honestly adds in a bit of an interesting twist. I really want to see how far he can fool the others if this proves to be on the right track. Plus, it makes the story a whole lot more interesting.

Who should be the one to finish off Xehanort?
I kind of want to see Vanitas pull a fast one on that old man. Out of all the lives Xehanort ruined, IMO, Vanitas suffered the most. Besides, his song was last on the KH Orchestra World Tour Heroes and Heroines: Character's Medley, which is very interesting that he's included, and a betrayal from him would be a cool twist! But if not, then Sora and all his friends (a.k.a all the heroes of light) working together taking turns, or with Sora finishing him off after everyone else got their hit in.

EXCLUSIVE KH13 interview with Tetsuya Nomura at the World Tour concert in London!
I absolutely enjoyed reading all of this "What's Ventus' purpose in appearing in Union X? -The purpose of his appearance is to further complicate the KH timeline." GENIUS!

Okay, Let's talk about E3 2017 and what we'll probably see. (KH3)
2016 was a dry year for KH3 news and we were told that this year's going to be different. Hopefully, E3 gives us some sort of trailer. Whether they announce the release date or not, I just want some new content, preferably story-wise. Don't want to be spoiled, but I do want to see some story content like we saw with the trailers of BBS 0.2.

Pointless build up?
When I think of Kingdom Hearts' story as a whole, it isn't about light versus darkness as much as it is about friendship and the ties that bond us. Everything that Sora is revolves around his friends, and I'm not just talking about Riku and Kairi. Ventus and Sora connected when Sora was just a newborn heart, afterward, he developed close ties with Riku and eventually Kairi when she appeared on Destiny Islands. Aqua knows him more than he knows her, but that doesn't break the bond. Terra never "officially" met Sora, but through his ties with Ven, Aqua and Riku they are considered friends. Then there's Roxas, his nobody who deserves to be a somebody. With him came Axel and Xion, and Namine with her connection with Kairi. And their enemies became Sora's enemies, and Sora's friend's allies became his allies. The reason why Sora doesn't have a direct reason to destroy Xehanort like everyone else does is because he's not supposed to. If Xehanort destroyed the lives of TAV, then Sora is going to be there to help pick up the pieces and heal the wounds because they are his friends. If Xehanort tricked and used the Sea Salt trio for his own gain, and royally pissed everyone off, then Sora is going to be there to calm the waters and tell them that they DO have hearts and that they DO deserve to live as somebodies because they are his friends. If Xehanort's darkness attacks Riku and tries to pull him under, then Sora is going to be there to help Riku stand firm because he is his friend. And when Sora is targeted and pulled under and surrounded by darkness, then all of his FRIENDS-Riku, Kairi, Donald, Goofy, Mikey, Ventus, Roxas, Aqua, Xion, Terra, Axel, etc.-will be there to pull him back up because they are all in this together. All the tragedy, all the hurt, all the pain, the loss, the sorrow: the death of Xion, the murders committed by Axel; Roxas' resolve and Ventus' sacrifice; Terra's mistake and Riku's struggle; Kairi's unending love, and Aqua's relentless will... all of it dwindles down to the final end in KH3 and all of it was needed to show you a story of how one man ruined the lives of so many and how all of those ruined lives will be brought together under one sky to end the pain and suffering. That's why all the games are needed, that's why all the games are important because they each explain and introduce all of the friends Sora is connected to. And Sora may be nothing special by himself, but he is who he is because of them.

Hello Everybody!
Hello! I'm Gadget, a new member of this site. I've been following some of the forums and I frequent them often, so I thought it was about time I join in on some of my favorite conversations. Been a fan of Kingdom Hearts for a few years now, but I've only gotten to play KH BBS thanks to my college bestie. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the gameplay regarding KH, but I love the story aspect to death--even if it is convoluted Because I can't exactly play the games, I do like to watch all the cutscenes and look up the gameplay so I don't miss anything. I've even researched most of the characters just out of pure curiosity and to quench my thirst in knowing as much as I can about KH. To say the least, I'm happy to at least be a part of the community in some shape or form, so I look forward to my time as a member to KH13!
